Porchlight Canada's goal is to keep the cases of missing loved ones in the eyes of the media and the general public. We hope, with our effort, we may promote more tips to law enforcement.
Contact me at: blackrider79@hotmail.com or private message me here. You can also contact Lauran Halleck, the owner of Porchlight and it's branches at lauran.halleck@gmail.com or monkalups1@lowcountry.com. The bulk of our cases are of those who are missing people or people who have been without a name. As of today I am testing out a new section I hope to make permanent on this site. Porchlight Canada plans to give a voice to murder victims. I felt the best timeline to start would be homicide cases dating back twenty years or more. It could be 1988 or it could be 1800. Time should not be a barrier. I still wish you to know we are still accepting cases of missing and unidentified persons. That part of us has not changed. This is our criteria for considering cases: All listed below is the criteria for considering cases. We do not automatically accept cases. The cases must go through a review with Porchlight members. There is no fee and we run this site and it's other chapters at our own expense. We do not take donations. This is a free service and is a show of goodwill towards others. Missing Persons 1.The person must be missing from within Canada. Nationaility does apply as long as the person is missing within Canada. 2. We also accept cases of Canadian citizens missing throughout the world. The timeline for acceptance is broad. Cases can be from present day to historical cases dating to the 1600's (Quebec's City's founding). Unidentified Persons 1. The case must be within Canada and the person can either be deceased or living. 2. Also accepted are those from outside Canada who are deceased or living who may have a connection to Canada. Again, the timeline for acceptance is broad and applies from present day down to the 1600's. Abandoned/Adopted? If you were abandoned as a baby without any adoption procedures, then we will look at accepting the case. The case must have been dealt with by law enforcement and must reside within Canada. Once again there is no timeline barrier on acceptance. If you were adopted and you believe your adoption was not legitimate and there is evidence to support it, we will consider the case. There is no timeline restrictions. Missing/Unidentified War Veterans We are looking for any cases of Canadian war veterans who are either without a name (unidentified) or were reported missing. Murder Victims We are considering unsolved murder cases from 1988 to historical cases in early Canada timeline. This also applies to Canadians who ventured outside of Canada. Even if your loved one was taken away from you as the result of a "hit and run", that still is murder in my mind. Thank you for taking the time to read this. keywords: Genealogy, missing, unsolved murder, unidentified, abduction, runaway, family abduction, homicide, hit and run, abandoned, adopted, adoption |
