Time to Eat!

[Christoph]

Christoph nodded to everything the two were saying before purking up at the announcement that went off for Raven. As Raven left the room, Chris said "Give 'em hell, Kid.," as if to cheer her on. "Remember to... Eh... Yeah, can't think of anything... Sorry! Insert good advice here!" he ended with, thinking he made quite a jerk of himself in his attempt to be funny. He sighed before looking over to see a girl running into the cafeteria.

"Hay! Kid! Come on over here, don't be a stranger. Chris said invitingly to the girl, scooting a chair next to him out so she could sit down. Suddenly, an announcement for him to go to the lab sounded.

"You're freaking kidding me..." he muttered as he got up from his seat. Suddenly all of the confidence, or at least the sliver that he had, went away from him. Despair practically radiated off of him as he looked to the stairs. "I wish I had some heroic words to say, honestly. Well, see you two around. I'll be the freak-of-nature that looks like Uxie..." and with that, he walked off, already knowing he wouldn't give any fight to any guard or scientist or whatever that would drag him to the 'experiment room.'

"Well, good luck to you, Raven," Mira said softly. Well, this was it. The fusions were continuing. But where was Luke? He probably should've been done by now. She was getting a bit worried about him. When Christoph was called down, she got even more worried.

"Good luck. And if you see my brother, tell him I'm waiting," she said. She was still nervous about everything that was going on. She really didn't want what happened to her to happen to them. Now what would happen to her, anyways? Would she be tested on again? She shuddered at the thought. All she could do at this point was wait and wonder.

[Emily]

Emily sat there watching and listening as she nibbled on her sandwich. She was examining the boy and the redheaded girl, especially the girl. There was something that looked peculiar about her that Emily couldn’t quite put her finger on.

"Hay! Kid! Come on over here, don't be a stranger,”the boy said, moving a chair out for her. Emily got up and sat down, about to introduce herself when an announcement called for a person called Christoph. THe boy got up and exited, muttering to himself. So, this boy was Christoph.

Emily felt akward sitting there with the red-headed girl. She felt out of place.
"Umm . . ." Emily began. "I'm Emily Parker, I just got here."
It was then that Emily noticed the white down covering the girl. Struggling to think of something else to say and a bit startled by the girl's down, she blurted out, "Have you already had the transfusion?" Emily blushed as soon as she said the last word and regretted speaking.

"Is it that obvious?" Mira answered. Well, she knew it was. Come on, it's not every day you see a girl covered head to toe in white downy feathers. She took another bite of bread, feeling a lot better. It was good getting food in her stomach.

"Yes, I did actually. My name's Mira Skygaze; it's nice to meet you."

[Emily]

"It's nice to meet you too," Emily replied. "Umm . . . I've only met a few people so far, none of them, uh, transfused," she continued, feeling akward. "Max was the one who told me about it." Emily paused and looked around. "Max was supposed to meet me here I think a few hours ago, but she might have disappeared without me. Have you seen her at all?"

[Mira Skygaze]

"Well, you missed her," Mira sighed. "She and Raven got called down. I haven't seen them yet, so they're probably still there. I hope the guards didn't injure them as badly as Kazza..." The sight of her injuries was still fresh in poor Mira's mind. She hoped things were better for her now.

"If you try and avoid going when you're called, they send the guards to come get you. Kazza fought back and got pretty badly hurt," she explained.

[Emily]

"Oh well. I hope Max is alright." Emily sighed and looked down. Max seemed like the sort of person who wouldn't go along easily. What would she look like when she came back.

Seeing the expression on Mira's face as she mentioned Kazza made Emily think that they were close.
"I don't think I'll fight anyone. I wouldn't go too well if I tried." She bit her lip, trying to think of something else to say.
"What was it like, you know, the transfusion?"

[Mira Skygaze]

"It's something that I'd rather only have to go through once," Mira sighed in response. It was true; she'd hated that. She decided not to mention the torture; she didn't want to frighten her. "It was just a lot of shots. They stung a bit, but it wasn't too painful." It had been much more frightening than it had been painful, but she figured that she didn't need to mention that.

"My brother got called down a while back, and I haven't seen him yet either. I'm getting worried; I haven't seen him since I got called down. I wonder what he'll think of me when he does see me..."

[Emily]

"Well, that doesn't sound too bad." Emily had imagined some kind of crazed scientist stabbing needles and torturing people, but then again, Mira didn't actually say that wasn't what happened to people.

"My brother got called down a while back, and I haven't seen him yet either. I'm getting worried; I haven't seen him since I got called down. I wonder what he'll think of me when he does see me..."

Emily watched Mira and thought of how it would be like for her if Jaden was in the same situation. Little brothers generally are more annoying, but she would feel similar. "I'm sure that your brother will make it out. You survived, so he should be able to."

[Mira Skygaze]

"Thanks; that really means a lot to me." Mira smiled lightly, feeling her spirits raise up. For a while, she'd been worried, but now she was feeling much better! For a moment, she completely forgot why she was upset in the first place! He'd be fine; he was much stronger than she was!

"You're right; he'll be alright. I'm pretty much a huge crybaby when it comes to needles, I'll admit." She laughed sheepishly, glad that she was able to admit that to someone. She had one question, though, and she couldn't help asking it.

"So, which Pokemon did you choose?" she asked.

[Emily]

"I chose Mesprit, the pokemon of emotions," Emily replied. She sighed. "This seemed like such a good chance to learn about it. It's a shame that it was fake." Emily looked down, feeling sad. She wouldn't see her family or Kirlia ever again either.

"Well, to look on the bright side, at least we can learn about our legendaries first hand." Or die from the transfusion.

Changing the subject she said, "I'm guessing your legendary is latios."

[Mira Skygaze]

"Well, no one's died yet, as far as I know," she sighed. "And I think it's interesting that you chose Mesprit. A person I was speaking to before he got called down picked Uxie." She thought that would be interesting to mention.

"Actually, the Pokemon I chose was Latias. My brother picked Latios. I wonder... will things be as they used to?" He'd always watched over her, and always protected her when she needed it. Would that change when he got back?
