VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR GROUNDBREAKING SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENT

Scientists at the Interregional Association for the Study and Research of Legendary Pokemon (IASRLP)

Are looking for resilient, young candidates (ages 15 to 18) to assist in the research, analyzation, and laboratory experimentation regarding pokemon commonly cited in myths and legends and yet rarely seen by human eyes.

Volunteers will take part in a major endeavor to shed light on the mysteries of the existence of such pokemon and in the process will form their own opinions and ideas that will help them in whatever path they may choose to pursue in their region.

In addition, all volunteers will have basic necessities provided for them during the internship, which will last approximately three weeks. This will include boarding, food, and medical needs. The laboratory is located on a small island between Johto and Sinnoh. Transportation via airplane will be provided. For the time and location of aircraft boarding for each region, as well as applications for the experiment, please call the number printed at the bottom of this paper…

This notice mysteriously appeared over the four main regions of the world-- Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, and Hoenn. Although its purpose was vague and slightly ominous, many people applied to discover what the "groundbreaking scientific experiment" was that would allow them such a good look at legendary pokemon.

Little did they know... they were going to be the experiment.

As the Eighth Wave crashes, more people join the Resistance... and more join to oppose them. As alliances begin to form, the DNA fusions begin, and true intentions behind the scientists are slowly going to reveal themselves... or are they?

The RPG Collection

Also note that the user "Treblipotent" has returned to Pokemorphs Legend, and is now performing CPR on the site... or something like that. Check her return thread for more details.

Gaia clicked on the screen on her computer in the dark room, amber eyes locked to it like glue a new toy to play with? Oh joy. Gaia hit the black button on her desk and spoke into the speaker, loud and clear, "Kazza, that what you like to be called? I dont care. Come down to the Research Facility, right away. My friends will be outside the door to greet you. So say hello." She turned the speaker off, pressing a red button under her desk and two men stepped out glancing at Gaia. "Stand outside that door, shove this needle into her arm if she comes. If she never comes, look for her, needle in her arm, then bring her here. Set her in the chair first. I tend to like to start with that."

They left, without a word.

Gaia then turned on the lights, mostly over a glass box with a chair bolted to the floor in the middle, this was her test chamber. Seeing if these toys had any skills yet, and to push them along to change. "Oh, Gale." She muttered returning to her computer, she had heard of how she made trouble for Gale, "If you must break a child, then break it. Dont let your guards do it for you." She rolled her eyes.

Then Gaia typed in a code, which opened metal drawers, which held needles. She pulled then out one-by-one, smiling. Would change her order now, thanks to Mira, she could do the hard things first. Then end with the lovely death trap. Oh, joy.

Kazza walked through the hallway, her strangely sensitive ears listening for the slightest sound. There! The next corridor... She peeked around the corner and saw a guard standing out in front of the room. Holding a needle. Kazza frowned and pulled back around the corner. What to do, what to do... An evil grin slid over her face as she took out a small bottle filled with something that was impossible to see through the glass. The guard in view, being the stupidest and brawniest, was easily fooled by just about anything. His fellow guard, however, was not quite as tick and hid inside a room, not moving and hardly daring to breathe. So, when the other guard lumbered out of his sight, he became suspicious. So, he watchd and waited for the kid to come.

There was a soft Thud as the guard tripped over something as he investigated what was rolling on the floor, a small bottle. The next thing he heard was the noise of his own nose breaking as Kazza punched him. Blood gushed out onto the floor, and the guard blinked in surprise. Then, he scrambled to his feet only to be knocked down again by an expertly positioned Round-House Kick. A few seconds later, the guard was out, quite probably for a long time. Because of all the noise, Kazza failed to notice the guard sneaking up behind her...

Gaia might have been expecting a lot of things, but Kazza would have bet that she wouldn't have been expecting this. The guard was attempting to pull her through the door, and even though he had managed to get the needle in her arm, she was still putting up a fight. Her feet were catching the sides of the door, and she was hitting every part of him that she could reach. A quick punch to her already bruised ribs was enough to make her stop for a few seconds, which was enough to wrestle the young adolescent into the chair and strap her in. "Geez, could you at least have let me have lunch first?"

Gaia looked at the guard as he came in, making his best attempt to strap the brat in. When it finally worked, and she walked up to the man. "Go fix your pal up, and return. Alot more of you this time." She looked at Kazza.
Then she walked in the glass box as the man left, and Gaia bent down, taking the needle the man has forced into Kazza's arm but it was pulled out and shattered when he strugled to get the brat in the chair. Not even the liquid made it into the child's blood, "There will be no eating. Dont you know you get cramps, if you eat then swim?"
Gaia kicked the glass and picked up another needle, and shoved it into the brats arm. Drawing out her blood, a small tint of blue was mixed in with the red. "Child, dont think you can fight me, I will teach you. Like I showed Mira. She may of acted brave, but I showed her she was just a toy."

Gaia took the blood-filled needle, and placed it back in the drawer. Then locked the glass door, which locked Kazza in nothing but a chair and a little glass room.

"Time to swim, my dear, hold you breath. Or dont, I would be fine with seeing a dead brat." She flipped a swicth. At first there was nothing but squeaks, and then water. It poured from above Kazza's head and it poured quickly filling the tank.

Gaia smiled. Water, Fire, Ice, Snow, and more. She would break this brat in.

"That's a myth, actually". Kazza said quietly, and smiled. The smile slid off her face as she realised what was happening, though. She snarled at Gaia, then startd preparing herself to hold her breath. She took short puffs of breath, then, just as her head was almost about to go under, she took in a deep lungful of air. Then, her head was completely underwater. Strangely enough, the water wasn't affecting her vision which had become better after her sleep. One minute went by, then two, then three... Kazza was starting to get panicky now, and bubbles of precious oxygen were starting to escape her mouth. Four minute, five, almost six... That was it. She couldn't hold her breath any more. Water flooded into her lungs and...

She could breathe. She blinked in surprise, and wondered how she could breathe underwater, she wasn't even sure that Articuno could... Then she decided it was unwise to question these things, and she just ignored the fact that Articuno couldn't breathe underwater. She pocked her tongue out a Gaia and mouthed some very rude words and taunts. She got bored after a while, and started twiddling her thumbs and humming some tune that she'd heard from somewhere. Gaia did not look happy at Kazza. Now she was seriously getting even more bored, so she stopped even humming and twiddling her thumbs and just stared blankly at one of the walls through the glass. Sheesh. These people really should consider getting a decorator in here... Hey! That sword looks awesome!

Gaia could only frown when the tiny brat was able to breeze even with the clear liqud in her lungs, she didnt hear any of her comments. "Oh, it seems your DNA if working. Shall we move on then?" She wrote it down on a metalic clipboard and her amber eyes flickered to Kazza again, and she let the water drain.
"Well, it seems you wet, let me dry you of." She rolled her eyes, children these days, and she fliped another switch this one with a black F over it.
Click...
A sound echoed from above and before the little glass chamber.
Click... Click...
Again it did and Gaia snickered, "Yes, unlike what I did with Mira, you wont get to move free. And like I said to her, if you cant stand the heat, burn. Or for you die, life would still go on."

Small flames poked out of the top and bottom of the glass box, and Gaia turned a dial to make the flames grow, and grow, until they swallowed most of the glass prison. Some flames hit the water and sizzled, letting out hot sprays of hair until the water vanished into hot thin air.

Gaia glared at Kazza, she was able to breeze in water, but could she stop fire? To bad Kazza couldn't fight fire with fire, it might of been fun to wacth.
Her eyes glanced at the other switches, and back at Kazza her eyes dark.

When Kazza heard the omnious clicks, she knew that it couldn't be anything good. Infact, it was likely to be something really, really bad and painful and terrifying. And when she saw the first flames, she did get a bit nervous, but she still had some hope that she might get out of this without any serious burns or injuries... That hope was shattered when the flames reached the full height of the cage and started creeping towards her as though in some obscene game of tag. Where the person who was it was a flame. And where the person who was supposed to be running away was strapped to a chair, trapped inside some Arceus-awful cage in what seemed to be several torture chambers.

The good things were that Kazza had always been strangely resistant to the elements and that her talons seemed to be fire-proof and unable to feel the heat. Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good. Kazza was already starting to get light-headed as the little oxygen that was left in the cage started to burn. Plus, she was strapped in a metal chair with no hope of escape. And everyone knows what happens when metal is heated. Kazza cried out as a flame licked one of her legs, leaving it an angry inflamed red, with blisters and peeling skin. An eerie blue glow now surrounded the leg, healing it faster than was possible for any human. The smell of scorched flesh now hung in the air as Kazza tucked her limbs in and curled into a ball as well as she could. This would stop the fire reaching her... For now. But now the metal was heating up, and steam was rising off her wet clothes. Oh Arceus! I wish I had some useful powers right now to get rid of this stupid fire!

Then, strangely enough, Kazza started shivering uncontrolable. She wasn't cold or going into shock, and she just couldn't make sense of it, but she let it continue. Her back was itchy as hell now, and she couldn't help but itch it even though the flames were so close now that she could lean foward and be swallowed by them. Strangely enough, Kazza could feel something under her clothes... Something lumpy yet kinda soft pressed against her back... She let that thought go, as now the flames were almost touching her, and it was becoming difficult to breathe. To her amazement, it appeared as though the flames could go no further. They seemed to be held back by something. Kazza couldn't believe her luck.

Gaia grinned as the flames drew closer, but her grin grew dark when the flames seemed to stop moving to Kazza but only moved around her. Gaia turned the flames off, "Alright, pest, I will give you the shot I should of gave you at first. Say bye to your powers for a while," Gaia picked up a needle full of green liquid and opened the glass door. She ignored the smoke, and was glad the brat was strapped in. "I hate your shirt." Gaia pulled out a 3-inch blade and cut a line down the back of it.

She ignored anything important at this moment, and then shoved the needle in Kazza's arm. Pushing in the liquid. "You will gain powers, yet be unable to use them. I belive it should last until we are done here, and I move you to the next place." She slapped Kazza across the face, as hard as she could, and made it fast as she turned to go.

Then locked the glass door behind her.

"Again, heat." She flipped a switch with the letters 'HS' and then after a few moans from above and below how steam poured in. Steam hot enough to burn the skin, "I hope you love your, powerless self. See how it feels to be a poor, helpless toy." She laughed.

No powers for this toy to try and save herself. Yet she took note that this girl seemed to be changing fast.

Kazza's face was stinging and red where Gaia had slapped her, but she was too tired and hungry to attack back. "...Why'd you do that?! I only have one more shirt left, and it's covered in blood!" She muttered in disguist and anger. Then, she started to panick again. Hot steam was billowing out of vents, and this time there wasn't any powers which she had to stop it. Every time the steam brushed against her skin it felt like a nail was being driven into her flesh. No matter what she did, nothing could help or make the pain go away. Finally, just as she was reaching the end of her endurance and was just about to faint, two big, blue feathered things unfurled. Wings, coming out of Kazza's back. Realising what had just happened, she started flapping them. They were too small to carry her weight yet, but they were effectively blowing the steam away from Kazza. A sigh of relief escaped her lips, and she started coughing, her throat scorched by the vapours.

Gaia looked at Kazza's wings, as they opened up, "It seems like you are chaning quickly." She turned around and talked to herself before looking back at Kazza. "One more, even if I planned more. I think I should get you to the fun stuff before you get your powers back. Oh, dont try and fly when you get out. I have a gun in my pocket, and I want to use it. Or I could clip your wings." She laughed, turning off the steam.
She looked at all the switches, hovering over all of them. Then smiled at one that was labeled, THR and Gaia flipped it. "Hope you dont get dizzy," She smiled as a circle pattern around the metal chair Kazza sat on started to spin. The chair followed suit.

Then large blacks of ice fell from the area above, yet they where small enough to not put Kazza into a coma. Mabey just knock her out. And they fell fast, along with droplets of water that poured down with the hail.

Gaia walked off, threw another door, and turning on lights in another room.
Then she came back, a knife in her hand. Stained with blood. She looked at Kazza from inside, "Like it my brat of a toy? Just wait till I crush you. I hope you will be unable of powers until I place you in that," She pointed to the door, "Room. That is freedom." She lied.

Kazza had always hated spinning rides and games. Yeah, she beat everyone at spinning games. But that didn't mean that she liked the actual games themselves. And then, blocks of ice started falling from the sky err.. roof... The chair was still moving, and it avoided most of the bigger chunks, but occasionally one came so close that Kazza felt it skim past. One even hit her in the head when she got dizzy and didn't move fast enough. Thankfully, Gaia was out of the room when that happened.

Kazza was momentarily distracted when Gaia walked in holding a knife. Covered in blood. She couldn't help but shudder and stare at it, transfixed. And then a fairly big chunk of ice hit her on the head, and she almost lost conciousness. Almost. Kazza knew that if she got knocked out she wouldn't stand a chance. And her powers still weren't back, not that she'd had many, anyway... She dizzily reached a hand up to the top of her head, and moved it slowly back in front of her face when she felt something sticky. Blood was all over her hand, where a jagged edge of ice had punctured her head. "That's gonna need stitches..." She murmured, before closing her eyes due to dizziness, pain, hunger and after-effects of the fusion. Arceus... This reminds me of the time I fell off a cliff and woke up in hospital. I was a complete mess then, too

Gaia let the spinning slow to a stop, along with the hail. Her eyes glued to the blood on Kazza's head as is she was about to attack the brat and finish her off with the blade in her hand.
Gaia opened the glass door and walked up to Kazza placing her hand on Kazza's head, where the brat's blood was then she pulled her hand away. Looking at Kazza'a blood on her own palm.

"I would say, that I was kind enough to fix that up. But I think we will have enough time for me to bring you over to my lovely toy room, over there," She pointed to an open door across the way, "Then by that time your powers should return. Now, Im going out of my normal order, because I can tell your the Jefe of your group or at least close, enough." She said, boss, in spanish because it had a much better tone to it and that was one of the few words she knew in Spanish.

Gaia tore Kazza off of the seat, taking Kazza's left and and holding it behind Kazza'z own back. The blade hovering infront of the brats neck, "Walk."

This was Gaia's way to make the girl move, if she didnt, well Gaia might just have to do something to the girl. "Mabey, you can stay the night. Hehe.. I have a lovely room for you to stay in." This was a lie, Gaia never had anything lovely, but only in her own eyes.

If, and only if, Kazza listened to Gaia and walked into the room would Gaia lock the little pest inside of it. Then walk into the door next to it, and flip on a light showing thick glass that was unbreakable. Layers on layers of many types of glass and plastic protected Gaia from Kazza who got to be in her own little room.

Gaia flipped a swicth without saying a word, and the walls started to cave in.

(Hold yer horses! I didn't say whether or not she was going to obey Gaia's demands)

Gaia ripped the adolescent out of the chair rather painfully and forced her to start walking. Kazza, however, had other ideas. She tumbled a bit, giving the impression that she was feeling her injuries. In reality, she could hardly feel anything at all, and everything had an air of unrealness about it, aside from a buzzing at the very back of her head. Kazza stumbled once more, ducked under the knife and elbowed Gaia in the face with her right arm. "You forgot something, stupede. I'm right handed". Then, she used one of her favourite moves to get her hand out of the lock Gaia was holding it in, snatched the knife moving surprisingly quickly for someone with a hole in the top of their head. Suddenly, Kazza froze up and crumpled, face first, on the floor.

All of her muscles had frozen up quite painfully as soon as the high strength tranquilizer had entered her bloodstream. The teenager managed to roll onto her back, still clutching the blade, but couldn't do anything else. It felt like fire was running through her veins as the drug spread. The same strange metalic screeching noise from before, when Gale was injecting Articuno's DNA into her, echoed around the room as the guard who had gotten the tranquilizer stepped fowards, holding something. He leaned over the limp form of Kazza and attached an electric collar around her neck, in case she was difficult again. It could be activated by a romote control, was completely waterproof and could only be removed by one of the main scientists.

Gaia had yet to be shocked when Kazza's elbow slammed into her face, making her release and tumble to the floor. Head slamming into one of the metal tables around the same time, but pain seemed to be nothing to her, and she pulled out a gun.
Yet, it did take her a few seconds to pull it out, placing her hand on her nose then she glanced at her hand where a small spot of blood rest. Gaia's eyes turned to flames, and that was when she pulled out a simple pistol.

Thats when Kazza was taken down, thanks to a guard, who also placed a collar around the brat's neck. "Did I look like I needed your help? Dont think I will think you, I rather would of blown the brats heads off. Give me that remote." Gaia got to her feet, placing the pistol back in its holder. Then she took the remote control and pressed the button again, "Dont you ever do that again, get up and into THAT room. No playing games child, I will kill you."

Gaia didnt care about the blood that was finally flowing to a stop from her nose, her eyes turned to the guard who stepped back from Kazza and moved into the shadows, waiting for the time he was needed again.

"Feel like a helpless pet? I do hope to break you in, by the end of are meeting. Break you more then the helpless Mira." She laughed.

Again she pointed to the open door, leading into a large metal room, so Kazza would know where to go. Gaia locked the remote in her palm ready to use it at any second.

Kazza thrashed around on the ground and dropped the knife when Gaia pressed the button, and a whole heap of electricity charged through her body. Thankfully, it also neutralized the effects of the tranquilizer, not that Kazza knew how it did. She got up slowly and limped into the room Gaia had gestured to. She knew when a battle was lost, even though she hated backing down. She'd rather have another jolt from that wretched collar. She felt slightly lopsided as she moved, and blood was trickling down her face. It had a salty taste, as she had found out during her rather unpleasant expirience before. She felt sick now, but thankfully her powers were starting to come back and the strange blue glow that she was now so familiar with surrounded her injuries. The pain from her head dulled, then stopped completely as the skin resealed. The internal damage would take longer to fix, and was probably more serious. Kazza mumbled to herself, but otherwise made no complaints or sound. The collar was uncomfortably tight, but she did her best not to show it.

Gaia picked up the blade, and followed behind Kazza, and locking the thick metal door behind the little pest. She walked into her own room, a thick clear glass protected her from whatever Kazza happened to do. Her eyes scanned the guards behind her, "Try and melt her brain into pudding, or... Crush her first?" They both shrugged.

Gaia rolled her eyes and looked at the buttons, many, many, buttons. She pressed two, then three.

A sound of a gun being fired would echo around the room Kazza was standing in, then the lights would go dark and the walls would start to cave in, left and right, leaning to the center.
The bright flashed of lights from the roof above the pests head would flash on and off as the sound of guns went off and off. "I thought I would try and kill you, because your such a pest." Really there wher no bullets, no guns, just sounds.

Yet the walls really where caving in. Closer and closer each second.
