basically it's a redesign of the interior/exterior + corporate branding for a chosen real company for a college project

That "R" looks dangerous haha. Aside from that part though I do really like that design with how it looks like the film is coming off the reel and out of the wall. Very creative. Those twisty stairs though are horrendously impractical. Make it a normal staircase that goes along the back wall. Aside from the staircase though, looks very nice.

Well, could change the stairs but it's already in the design spec to involve a space saving alternative

Well, there's a line between conserving space and being practical haha. This design = Impractical....but go ahead, get an F on it

...I really hate those f***in' stairs haha....but in all honestly aside from that it's a fantastic design. You really did do a little with the limited space. Very nice work.

Plane with segments on x, y, around 20-30, noise on y axis (up down wave), however much was needed, ff 4x4x4 modifier to make it more wavy on the z, y axis followed by turbosmooth, then a custom ff which was like 14x14x1 to get into the small corners

Cushions were circle with 180 hemisphere, uniform scale down to half the size, then I just converted to polygon and edited the shape from there

edit: this might not be exact but not at my pc atm so can't really get in-depth

You could also just have said you did it with modifiers
I luv the smooth modifiers. But sometimes they just mess up.
I love every modifier, for that matter. They can really turn something stoned in sum epic organic-looking shizzzzzzzzzz

What looks kinda strange for me is as Maggot said, the stairs, as it is going to be a lil' massive >50ppl, right? ;] Also the ticket checkout inside somehow, well somehow, doesn't fit for my eye (MO). Anyway I really like it, especially the glass outside. Well done

@compufreak: Yeah, I could've but I like to have full control!

@shookees: Well, it's an irl local cinema to me (yes it's a real place ;P) and it hardly ever fills up, there would never be a moment in time with 20+ people in the lobby, it's usually school outings to watch some shit cartoon or groups of friends.

So based on the real life scale of it, and in reality the lobby is actually a LOT smaller when you go in there, it's a definite increase in space by using these
