\\ Player Information // Player Name // WhiteFox Character Number // 3
\\ General Information Character Name //Haidar Name Pronunciation //HI-eh-DAR Age // 17 Birth Season // summer Gender // male Sexuality // heterosexual Status //healthy Rank //Candidate
\\ Appearance // Height //5'10" Weight & Build // 165, average build, lightly muscled Eye Color // hazel Hair Color // golden brown Skin Color // light golden
Expanded Appearance Haidar is handsome, no doubt about it. He looks like a storybook prince charming, if Pern had any notion of what that was. His hair is a much lighter shade of brown than most Pernese, with streaks of gold. His eyes are hazel, dark green laced with copper flecks and a center ring of copper around the pupil, and his skin is a golden color to be envied. Although he's never had hard enough life to build serious muscles, but he does keep fit. He is neither very slender nor especially bulky and has a face one might describe as noble, but haughty. He likes fine clothing and jewelry and his favorite colors are blue, white and gold.
\\ Personality // Positive Traits // honest, just, diplomatic Neutral Traits // stubborn, competitive, naive Negative Traits // self-righteous, snobbish, prissy
Expanded Personality Haidar is the sort of person that is only liked by people just like himself, and everyone else thinks he's a puffed up little prick. He might have pity for people of a lower station than himself, but he believes that this is the natural order of things, that the superior folk such as himself succeed and the inferior people have their rightful place. His ideal is of a just, ordered society, and that is what he believes he lives in. The abuses of power, oppression and murder that the Flight uses for control are aspects that he pretends not to know about. or possibly doesn't really believe. He is a naive sort of person that believes in the good of everyone and in the fairness of life. Meaning he believes that life is already fair and people whose life sucks are just losers.
He loves rules and regulations, and has no qualms about tattling, even on his best friends. To him, duty is more important than any personal relationship. One good thing you can say about him is that he absolutely abhors violence. But he's very ambitious, and we'll do nearly anything to get to the top, since he sees that as his rightful place. The one thing he won't do is lie. He hates to lie. And that may very well get him into trouble in the flight. Being a very logically minded and stiff sort of person, he is terrible at showing emotion of any kind. He's has about average intelligence, but he thinks he's much smarter than that. He doesn't really like any sort of menial labor, or even getting his clothes duty, but duty is the one thing that overrides clean clothing in his book.
\\ History //
Haidar is the first born son of a family of wealthy crafters, his father being a smithcrafter, and his mother being a tailor. They made a good bit of the fancy jewelry and clothes that members of the Flight wore, and of course they always treated the Flight as the veritable gods they seemed to be. Haidar grew up with a life of privilege, worshiping the Flight and believing wholly in the unending good of the society in which he lived. The Guardians were savage barbarians disrupting the natural order of things. His father intended for the boy to be a smithcrafter like himself, but he showed little aptitude for it. In fact, he showed very little aptitude for anything besides lounging around and spending money, and his father blamed his mother for spoiling him. The father has just about convinced her to send the boy to the Guards when, by a lucky or unlucky chance for the boy, the Flight chose him as a Candidate just after his fifteenth nameday.
Haidar didn't like the idea at first, because it would require work, and he wasn't a fan of that. But he knew it was his duty to go. And once he spend some time there, he decided it was clearly where a superior being such as himself was intended to be. No doubt he'd Impress bronze, or Steel at the very lowest. So he spends his time in drills, which he is surprisingly good at, and lessons, and he lords it over all the new Candidates with his snobbish ways, meanwhile happily licking the boots of the full riders.
