roxie if you want. either way, you've heard of her before -- or if you've haven't, then you've definitely seen her face before. with her twin sister, lucy, roxanne was one of the most popular children's stars. her first acting job? doubling up with lucy as little michelle tanner on
smooth sailing, a kid's show about life on a cruise ship. and that was a long time ago, sure, but ever since then, roxie's never really stepped out of the limelight.
smooth sailing, along with a twins-based movie franchise named
lucy and roxanne (so original, we know), skyrocketed the girls into hollywood's only-too-eager arms. and, to be honest, she's never really left.
eschewing education to pursue her acting dream, roxanne became a bonafide silver screen lolita. at nineteen, her first 'adult' job was as karen in 2004's hit comedy mean girls. the movie brought a great deal of commercial success roxanne's way, and gradually, the attention began to take its toll. not yet legal, she was often tabbed by the media, caught 'celebrating' with friends. still, roxanne was ' and remains ' adamant that she was only having a good time. hollywood's entire purpose is fun, so why not let her have it?! her job is pure entertainment. therefore, people shouldn't be so serious about it.
an immature aspect, sure. but don't tell roxie that. she enjoys far too much about her lifestyle. in particular? the adrenaline. she's an attention whore and she exploits her fame to heighten it. a vicious cycle, if you will. but if it's so vicious, then roxie must be one hell of a masochist. there was one particular scandal (underage drinking, pah!) that caught really the media's attention, and ever since then, roxie's been easily branded as a hollywood 'wildchild'. still, directors and producers chose to take her on, too loath to pass up the name of 'roxanne harvard' on one of their projects. she's just wild enough to be a liability, but not outrageous enough to cause international scandal. a precarious balance, but one that roxanne has been toeing for nearly a decade.
the past two years have seen her starring with her sister as the hemlock twins on hbo's a dustland fairytale. but, it seems, roxanne's own fairytale might very well be reaching its end. the role of blair blackwell is nice and all, but -- it only goes so far to be a recurring guest. and no new projects seem to be offered up to her.
personality-wise, roxanne's really, really intrepid and vivacious. she loves taking risks, she loves pushing herself, and most of all, she loves attention. she's incredibly selfish and she doesn't care about how people view her. so if you like to party, if you love hollywood for every damn clichι that it's meant to be, you'll definitely be her friend. and she'd have a lot, just saying. roxie's the kind of girl who surrounds herself with people, because it's that kind of energy that she feeds off of. welp. she sounds like an energy vampire. xD as for enemies ... well, i can imagine there'd be people who don't like her, who resent her for how selfish and self-involved she is. or fame or acting choices or lifestyle choices. really whatever you can think up! and lovers are covered, but i always welcome crushes or pasts or flings! <3 so plot her up, babies!
