As the Mudblood Martyrs begin to fall apart, the main board plot is going to kick into gear. Here's the new plot, with opportunities for new characters, new interactions, and soon a whole new setting. It's all up for discussion, so if you have any quibbles or ideas, post 'em.
—No Prophecy
This is entirely up to you guys, but I was thinking that it makes sense for us if Trelawney never made her chosen-one prophecy to begin with. Perhaps she died last year during a Death Eater attack, or, I dunno, moved to Norway to study runes. Without the prophecy, Voldemort has no reason to seek out either Harry or Neville, and therefore won't fulfill it himself (always thought he was a bit of a tit to fall for that, to be honest). This means the pressure is off the Potter players to decide, and anyone who wants to app for Alice or Frank needn't deal with the problem.
—Evan Rosier, Yaxley, Nott, Travers, Mulciber
These are the Death Eaters who are either in the Ministry, or are using the Imperius on a Ministry employee. If you play a Ministry worker, feel free to choose a DE who may be controlling them or using them for information, and if you want to pick up a Death Eater, consider taking on one of these to join in with the plot.
—Dolores Umbridge, Caspar Gamp, Elizabeth Blishwick
These Ministry employees work in the Minister for Magic and Support Staff offices on the first floor. Umbridge is a junior secretary to the current Senior Undersecretary, and eavesdrops on what takes place in that office. She currently passes information to a Death Eater contact with the intent of gaining a better position after the Ministry falls.
Caspar Gamp is the Junior Assistant to Millicent Bagnold, the Minister for Magic. He's from a dwindling pureblooded family whose riches were squandered generations ago, and wants the prestige of being pureblood restored to that of the aristocracy. Like Umbridge, he passes information of his own free will, but neither of them are privy to all the security measures the Ministry has set in place.
Last of all is Elizabeth Blishwick, a young secretary in the Adviser to the Minister for Magic's office. Though her father was pureblooded, her mother was a halfblood, and she does not sympathise with the Death Eaters. As a result, she is instead being blackmailed for her information; her mother was kidnapped two months ago, and she has been promised the safe return if she co-operates. However, her mother is (of course) already dead.
These NPCs — who can be picked up if you fancy it — can be referred to or dealt with by any Death Eater. The ultimate goal is to use these contacts to gain control of their superiors, and then reach the Minister herself.
—The Fall of the Ministry
This should take place in around December/January. The first obvious sign would be the dismissal of Muggle-born employees, followed by the creation of the Muggle-Born Registration Commission. At first, its aims would be to register Muggle-borns and strip them of their wands and magic. Gradually, however, the Commission would go on to arrest any witch or wizard who could not prove that a recent ancestor was magical, in the claim that Muggle-borns have stolen magic from purebloods, just as it did in canon.
—The Splintered Resistance
The Order of the Phoenix wouldn't be the only underground movement after the Death Eaters gain hold. Ex-Aurors and Hit Wizards would form a group of their own, possibly with aid from the Order. The difference between groups would be quite large; those trained as soldiers and police would employ guerilla tactics of fighting, dealing with the sheer number of Death Eaters, werewolves, Giants and Dementors at Voldemort's disposal. Ex-Mudblood Martyrs, and even civilians would be able to join this group if they could find someone on the inside; however, the number of people involved would also mean a high probability of betrayal. Trust would be severely limited.
The Order, meanwhile, would likely deal with Voldemort himself. Dumbledore suspects that Voldemort is using Horcruxes, and is probably in the process of collecting the memories of Tom Riddle that he shows to Harry, making it unlikely that he'd hole up in Hogwarts to protect the students. It would also make sense that the Order is spread across the country, trying to dig up information, capture high-ranking Death Eaters, and eventually hunt down Horcruxes. (Please don't do sixty threads of camping, though. Please. Pleeeeease?)
That's what we have so far. Roll up and tell us what you think!

I tink it's brilliant!!!!! XD I think it's clever and got a lot of gumption XD I'd love Phaedra to be invovled with the more vicious groups - whether it's with the DE's or against them. That or is generally helping anyone who wants spells for some cash! lacking morals. I think the though of the different sections is a good clear idea. See...all I got is support so I'm going to shoosh now

*Gives Thessy an entire platter of cookies*
Phaedra could definitely be employed as a researcher - maybe an Unspeakable? - by the new Ministry. They're going to want specific spells, like the, erm, the... I forget the name of it, but the Jinxed Name Thing where if you say 'Voldemort' you can be tracked down (we'll just presume that's not been invented yet, the Order drops the V-Bomb all the time xD). And perhaps spells to identify non-purebloods, particularly Muggle-borns. And, ooh, potions and such to make Giants easier to control...
That said, she could live on the edge and pass information to the good guys (for a fee, or perhaps via some sneaky blackmail on their part) at the same time - that way she'd have a job and a purpose, but she could still get involved with the Good Guy Efforts, as currently we've got way more good guys than bad >>
Does Remus want to try going underground to cajole the werewolves into Being Good? It doesn't provide much threading opportunity, but he can meet his Order contacts on the outside, and make it to certain meetings. I need to update Kingsley, but once I do, he's there as an Order member for your use.

Don't say his name! .... It's taboo...way to go saying that to someone who's used to muggle sayings as for Remmy >.< I guess soooo. Would link to how they all go 'AHHH HE'S THE SPY!' and by all I think it was just Siri? they weren't too clear on that. Anyways would make him easier to frame. The DEs might want to use a Cursebreaker to get treasure, ne? Clearly it's not something Voldeshorts would really care about, but some of the DEs must be purebloods whose fortunes were squandered generations ago, and this could be a nice little earner on the side. Perhaps one of them poses as his boss, through Polyjuice - or uses the Imperius on him or his boss - and walks off with whatever he discovers. Then the goblins could be absolutely furious with him. Hmm. They never cared when Voldemort got into power, but if some DEs start stealing from them, they might get a little bit pissed. Will have to think on that.
I again offer Jez and a Quidditch match (Holyhead Harpies?) as a forum for Will to suddenly find himself in a warzone. She'll see to it that he survives (to be horribly disturbed but hey, at least he'll be alive to be disturbed!) but, unfortunately, that he's also at the battlefront because by god, she's going to make him duel beside her For The Greater Good if she has to bloody well Imperius him. Terror and mayhem are at your disposal <3
Tell me about the DE ^___^
