MISS INDEPENDENT
no longer need to be defensive
Sookie lived in Bon Temps all of her life, rarely ventured out of the area unless for special reasons. Yet, a year had passed while she was away and everything just did a one eighty. A lot of things happened in those long twelve months when it was just a few minutes for Sookie. The blond waitress was beginning to suspect that this was just a weird alternate universe rather her world. Yet, for Bon Temps, everything that could be weird would happen. The months she spent with Bill and the events around it proved as great evidence.

It seemed without her presence, people changed. The minutes (or months to regular people) she was not in Bon Temps was like it was taken from her. Sookie would have like to see Jason becoming a police officer rather Andy Bellefleur’s errand boy. Whatever happened during that lost year, Sookie could see that her older brother was more responsible. Even Sam was more different, pricklier, like his guard was up more than ever.

However, it was those that Sookie threw out her life that changed the most. Bill was now the vampire King of Louisiana. Sookie had no idea what to feel about having his guards and snipers so close by. Sookie wished that Bill had taken up a palace rather keep his home. Experience and history served that asking him about his life was just another nail being hammered down on the coffin Normalcy and Safety.

Sookie could handle, to a point, of having Bill still close by. What she could not handle was that Eric had free range of her house! He might call it “caring” or something corny but Sookie knew that the tall Viking vampire was no good. Eric bought her house which gave him free access to her house, letting him go in as he pleased.

Eric built himself a damn cubby in her house!

Sookie was now driving back home about failing to convince Pam to talk to Eric about it. Pam was no use and she even had the guts to push Sookie to accepting Eric. Sookie would never, ever, in a million of years accept being his. After Bill, Sookie would not let a vampire claim her again. She was sick of vampires.

The road she took back home was going around Bon Temps, just hoping that if Eric was waiting for her that he would grow impatient and take off. Along the road was line of trees, the leaves turning brown and red, getting ready for fall. Sookie barely paid them attention, leaves would fall even if she wasn’t looking. Yet it was along the trees that Sookie’s attention was pulled away from the empty road.

A man was walking and Sookie never from watching drunks, that he was in a daze as they moved limply along. The blond sighed, intent on driving past. Her headlights bounced off the pearly pale backside of the tall man as his ash blond hair was dulled through the darkness of the night.

Wait a minute… Sookie paused in though. Tall…pale…blond?

A weird sensation of fear, worry, and curiosity rushed through her as Sookie slowed her car down. The former of the three won her over as the blond looked out of her cars window. Walking through the grass was a barefoot and shirtless Eric Northman. Sookie didn’t see a trace of blood on him so he didn’t just fed or was injured

“Eric?” Sookie called out as she followed him with her car. There was no mistaking anyone else but him yet he acted like he didn’t know her. So much for wanting Sookie to be his. “Eric? Eric?! What are you doing out here?

Eric had looked at her, and he couldn't remember anything at all. He had wondered who he was, and what he was doing at out here. Eric was mostly had amnesia. He was trying to remember who he was, and he had saw Sookie Stackhouse who had been calling him Eric, but he can't even remember his own name at all either. All he was able to remember that he was walking past here, and he had heard someone calling his name. He was mostly looking at her trying to remember his own name. Amnesiac is a great word for him now he can't remember who or what he was.

He was mostly wanting to remember what had happened over the year. He was mostly looking at her with a blank stare. He hadn't know what he was going to do his mind was blank now, and he had no memory of what happened to him. Eric was still in a daze, and he doesn't know how he even got out here. He was mostly had been thinking what he was going to do he know that there was something that he was wanting to have as his. He just didn't know what he was going to say to her. He was trying to remember who he was.

He had been trying to make sure that he remembered who this was. "Who am I, and why can't I remember anything I don't have any memories of who or what I am and yet you call me Eric is that really my name?" Eric asked. Eric had been trying to figured out why this woman was calling him Eric when himself can't remember what his name was. He was very much shirtless, and he had his pants on he just didn't know why he was even out here for.

He was very much had been walking through this grass with barefoot. He was very much had been trying to figure out what had happened to make him go dazed he can't find an answer on his own. He was looking at the woman who seemed to know him. "Sorry excuse me Miss can you help me out I can't seem to remember anything." Eric said. He was very much had a change in the personality since he had been dazed and confused of where he was even going. He hadn't know what he was going to do about this.

Sookie had notice his lack of a shirt and even shoes, all she could think as to why the Viking vampire was in this state of attire might have been to “entice” her. It was a rather a low blow to think that Sookie was that stupid to go all gaga over Eric just because he was wearing little clothing.

"Who am I, and why can't I remember anything I don't have any memories of who or what I am and yet you call me Eric is that really my name?"

Sookie let out a huff of air between her lips, rolling her eyes. That sounded like that came out of those trashy, found in the clearance bin, romance books that Sookie had seen Arlene read between her breaks.

“Eric, it’s me, Sookie. You know me.” Sookie stop her car, as Eric had now stood still. Her foot still rest on the gas pedal, just in case this was a trick for him of his. If he could trick her to drink his blood, he wasn’t far above to pull out the “help, I have amnesia, help me!” card.

“Sorry excuse me Miss can you help me out I can't seem to remember anything."

With her car’s headlights and the street lamps scattered across the road, Sookie could see his twilight blue eyes shining with a strange look of honesty and clarity. As if Sookie was looking at the innocent, preacher boy form of Eric Northman. Last time she saw some form of that was back on the rooftop with Godric.

Now, Sookie was concern. God help her.

Sookie turn off the car and risk any surprise tricks from Eric as she step out of the car. ”Eric? Please, don’t tell me this is your way of trying to get on my good side,”she kept close to the car still as she cross her arms. “Because, this is just pathetic even for you.”

Even if Sookie was concern, she was not going to show it because it might fuel Eric’s ‘sympathy’ trickery. So, maybe catch him off guard might prove to be efficient. “I really don’t want to deal with anymore of vampire crap right now. Especially from you.”

Eric had looked at her, and he was awfully concerned about why she was saying stuff about being a vampire crap. "I am not pretending sorry Miss I don't know you at all, but you seem to know me why I just wonder why you do know me what you know about me Miss I don't know you at all, and I don't know what I am." Eric said. Eric was befuddled, and he had no idea of who he was. He just wanted to be make sure that he was going to get through with all this, and his eyes had shown such honesty and clarity that he doesn't know who he is. He just looked at Sookie with a befuddled looked that he didn't know what was going on with him.

"I know what I am, but not who I am, how do you know who I am when even I don't know who I am?" Eric asked. Eric had been confused of who he was, and he can't remember anything mostly happen to him. He feels overprotective of Sookie Stackhouse without knowing why. He was mostly had wanted to make sure that nothing bad was going to Sookie even if he can't remember why he feels so attached to her.

"Miss what's your name sorry." Eric said. Eric had been mostly befuddled of what most things that had happened to him. He just looked at her with a deep sorry look on his face. "I want your help Miss I want to know who I am, and why you smell like sunshine, flowers, and fresh daisies that I want to know." Eric said. He had some idea of what happened, but not a lot. It's almost like he's a new person with his personality had changed a lot. Eric was mostly trying to make sure that he was going to remember who he is, however long that would take him.

"Who am I, and how did I have no shirt or shoes on I can't remember that I can remember most stuff. Miss what's your name?" Eric said. He was mostly had been trying to make sure that he was going to do what was possible for him to take care of this woman in front of him. "Can you help me, Miss?" Eric asked innocently. Eric had turned into a new guy since he can't remember who he was at this moment cause of witches.
