Star Trek and Alternate Timelines, SPOILER FOR NEW MOVIE

Okay, since the spoiler warning is in the description don't worry about positing spoilers in this thread from this point on. [This isn't the movie forum anyway ] For any of you who haven't yet seen the new Star Trek movie and don't want the plot spoiled for you stop reading now.

I saw the new Star Trek movie a couple weeks ago, and I was a little disturbed by something. The destruction of Vulcan. Since there was so much junk with the blackhole and going through and back in time with Spock and all, could they have no some way some how fixed the timeline? I can't stand the fact that Vulcan is now no more.

Although another part of me thinks that this might not be the end that it still might exist on the other side. Who knows. I can't help but speculate about future movie plots in this new/alternate timeline. What could it hold in store? How will this affect other things in the Star Trek multiverse.

I saw the film on Mother's Day (took mine to see it), and I liked it.

My thing about Vulcan's destruction was that there were only 10,000 Vulcans offplanet at the time; I'd always thought that they'd have had more colonies.

Well it was certainly a Shock, however Future Spock claims that he has found a place to build a new colony, and if the Vulcans Pon far like rabbits then they should soon be back to normal, they are very wise, so they in a sense are going to create a new Vulcan.

The time line will have changed, Kirk has a new attitude, having lost his father, he didn't have him to look up to, so he became a bit of a rebel, Spock most likely will become more human. A whole new set of Adventures lay ahead.
