Editing

Dane looks at one of his posts and sees the notation:

He then proceeds to hide under a rock.

I just want to warn everyone that I have this tendency to edit my threads to death, so that little notation will likely appear on nearly all of my threads. Not that I think anyone will mind, but I just think it's funny and sad at the same time.

I almost always preview before I post which helps, but even then, I sometimes miss something or change my mind on the wording. So I look for the button (which, if it could, would put a contract out on my life), and I point and click.

Poor Edit button.

The moderators and admins should be the only ones who have the ability to prevent the notification from showing up.

All I ask is that you are more careful when posting. We can't take things back and reword in real life. I really, really don't like being stingy with editing buttons. but ...

I can't believe my previous post is only three days old.

Dane, you're in good company. I think post editing is a great thing.

Our root has a good point here! It would also be hopeless to have a true discussion if we could sneakily change our argumentations whenever we'd feel like it.

Dane, edit your posts, but don't be so afraid of making a typo or of not expressing yourself perfectly all the time, we are after all humans and mere mortals all of us...even Luther, although he might disagree with me on this

If we happen to be unsure as what your meaning of a post is or find some of it confusing, we'll just ask
