QUOTE (Kastia @ Sep 4 2008, 05:08 PM)
What gets you moving?

A particularly unhygienic person with a gun and a strong desire to see me moving.

...apart from that, the only sporty activity I truly participate in is golf, and that only rarely. I think it's been pretty firmly established in this forum that those in search of athleticism should look at anyone but me.

Oh, I like curling...but just to watch. I saw it on TV a few winter Olympics ago (don't remember which one). Though I think I like it just because it's ... oddly fascinating. Mesmerizing, I think is a better word.

I LOVE to watch baseball on tv and live.

I used to play softball when I was in high school and a little during college. But always just community league levels. I liked to keep it fun. And everyone was competitive but usually had better sportsman/woman-ship than I saw in the school and collegiate sports. I wish I could find a good team to join again, the team I was on disbanded a few years ago. And I miss it SO MUCH!

If they brought back a nonlethal version of gladiatorial combat (and PURELY human against human - No Animals Allowed), I would watch that.

With hand-to-hand combat only? With swords? Both? Something else?

Hmmm, this might inspiration to start a new thread.

Anything goes, just nonlethal. You could have a brawler against a guy with a sword if you wanted, but I think safety issues would lead to armed vs. armed only and unarmed vs. unarmed only.

Oh, and none of that no-guys-fight-girls stuff; I want it to be a full test of skill and concentration.
