You can probably also add Morgan (Catoosa) in there at 152 as well. Either Myers or Davenport....or both will have to deal with him as well. White (Woodward) could also be at 152. He wrestled at 145 this summer. That could be a nasty weight!!

I think you will see Myers at 140 or 145, Davenport at 145, maybe 152, Morgan probably at 145 (if Davenport moved to 52) and White most likely at 152 or 160. Davenport is being looked at as a college 149 pounder and he is not that tall but thick. White is going to be a 65/74 pounder in college according the intermat so I doubt you see him anything less than 152 and probably pulling no weight trying to get even bigger for his college career. I personally dont think that Meyers can beat Davenport but think it might be a close match. As far as I can remember, White and Myers have never met. White and beat and lost to Evans his sophmore year. He lost a close one at regionals that year and then majored Evans the following week for the 3rd/4th place match. If Myer and White ever did wrestle, White won as I am pretty sure that the only other Cushing wrestler that he wrestled was Patterson. Patterson never majored him so I am pretty sure if Patterson couldn't major him, there is no way Meyers would have majored him. However, after seeing White this summer, I dont think it really matters who has beat him in the past as at Fargo he seemed on a completely new level.

I think what hurt White at state last year was pulling to 130. This is a big kid and 30 was too much of a pull. Two weeks later he 140 at JR Nats. and has a stellar tourney. Now look how big he is. Have any of last years 130 lbers. grown even half this much?

I agree with you about White. I don't see any way he is below 152. He did wrestle 140 at the JR National Duals and then 145 at Fargo. He was definately big at 130 last year no doubt about it and maybe should have wrestled at 135 but I didn't think he was as big as Myers or Schroeder but not much smaller either. Jr Nationals is much later than two weeks after State... I think you meant two months. It also looked like he was much taller this summer than he was during the state tournament to me as well and just hadn't filled out to his growth in height yet. At that rate, who knows, he could be at 171. All of these guys are going to have to earn a state title this year because there will be some stiff competition at all the weights through there this year. No one has mentioned the Hill kid from Blanchard either and he is pretty dang tough too!

Can anyone challenge fittje at the 19 to 25 pound range. Lil thomas is tough but fittje is about twice his size. He looked huge the few times I watched him

I know hes lost alot of respect the past couple of years but I like morgan at whatever weight he goes including over davenport or whoever. never will forget him teching branscum. if hes "on" he can score a crazy amount of points or pin anybody w/ his style. i know lots of folks are gna disagree, but its simply MY opinion.

Myers did not wrestle his sophmore season. He is a very talented athlete and a great kid. I wouldnt count him out of any match no matter who it is. He is my favorite in whatever weight he is at which i think is going to be around 140. Also i agree i would love to see how the Myers vs. Davenport match would go.

I think Morgan is definately going to be in the mix. With that said, I am not sure that he has that intimidation factor anymore with the other kids. He grew up beating all these guys. Two years ago, Quintero beats him in the finals, last year he struggles in the semis and is put on his back. As a freshman he is hammered, albeit by one of the best kids in the country, out of state. There is no question he is a talent but no one knows if he will show up. Perez (Hulbert) smoked him this summer at a qualifier and Morgan had been workng out is the word on the street. After saying that, I sure would not bet against him though.
