As one of the organisers, I would like to thank all those involved in making Gaffers at Holyhead such a huge success.
The event saw 46 sailing boats racing and in the parade of sail, together with our lifeboat, pilot boat and many support RIBS. Eight bands performed around the town and marina during the weekend, the RNLI checked more than 100 lifejackets, Mike Smiley sold out of kippers, and Des Pawson made over 100 ropes. Thanks also to the unsung OGA helpers, Doreen, Ruth & Max in particular You can see some photos at Holyhead 2010 Peter & Sue Farrer |
