the wait for the food had taken a bit more time than darwin thought that it would and ended up being closer to half an hour than twenty minutes to get to camden's, which he didn't think was all that awful actually especially for somebody that was on time more often than not. plus, he was bringing food, so honestly, cam wasn't allowed to complain about anything really. still, once he'd parked his car, he'd basically jumped out and grabbed a hold of the bag in the passengers seat as he made his way up to the apartment taking everything double time because well, he could. by time he got to the door he was a bit out of breath though as he knocked and tested to see whether the door was unlocked or not a bit surprised to find out it was figuring that cam might have left it for him since he knew he was coming anyway or cam never locked his door and therefore darwin would have to learn to take advantage of that sometime for the laughs.
"CAM! the door was unlocked! i swear i'm not a burglar!" he called out as he closed the door behind him and slipped out of his shoes clicking the lock closed because well, it just seemed like the best thing to do. after that he turned to walk further into the apartment holding the bag in his hand still. "i bring food. italian. i thought italian was a good plan." he smiled moving straight to the kitchen to put the bag down on a counter hoping that cam was actually around otherwise well, this would be awkward.

he was never cooking again. ever. if anything, camden was making a life long promise that he would never attempt the art of cooking. it was just better for all parties involved; him, the food, the people that would be attempting to eat said food. he glanced over at the pot sitting on the stove, glaring at it slightly. really, it was the soup's own fault that it came out looking more like jello than something that could actually be considered edible because he was ninety percent sure that he'd followed the directions. so yeah, clearly the soup was to blame. he groaned, tossing his phone on the counter before pushing himself away and walking out of the kitchen, heading towards his bedroom. his shirt was speckled and stained with ingredients because apparently, when it came to the kitchen and actually using appliances that weren't the sink, the fridge or the microwave, cam turned into an uncoordinated mess of limbs and hands that had no idea where to go. he stripped his shirt, quickly pulling on another as he heard a knocking on the door before darwin's voice sounded throughout the apartment causing him to roll his eyes. he moved back into the kitchen. "italian is always a good plan," cam answered, moving forward to grab plates from one of the cabinets, "right now, any type of food would be considered a genius plan. i'm beyond starving and clearly me cooking is something that brings upon the apocalypse." he set the plates back down on the counter next to the bag of food. "thanks for this."

shifting a bit, darwin moved over toward the stove to look at the concoction that his friend had apparently cooked up. frowning slightly he shook his head and turned away before the thing noticed his presence and decided to leap, because he wouldn't be surprised if it did. he just had this feeling in the back of his mind that somehow cam had ended up summoning a demon while he was cooking it. shivering a bit he turned as camden came into the room and smiled a bit nodding. "that's what i figured," he said with his smile growing rapidly his eyes moving around to the bag of food slowly. he walked over and started to take things out. there was pasta in alfredo sauce, and pasta in marinara sauce, garlic bread, and really just a random assortment of all sorts of things. he really hadn't exactly known what cam would want to eat so he'd just gotten a bunch of stuff figuring cam could keep the leftovers and then he wouldn't starve for a few more days, or he would take it home himself and he wouldn't have to worry about food for a day or so. basically somebody would eat the food, so he was fine with that. he smiled a bit as he grabbed one of the plates and opened up one of the containers. "true. please don't cook again. i'm not ready for the world to end. and it's no problem," he added with a shrug, "i really needed to get out and i haven't seen you in a while anyway." which was true. he really did need to get out to see cam more often. he needed to get out of the studio more in general.

camden leaned back against the counter now that the plates were down, glancing over at the pot that was still sitting on the stove, probably forming some kind of plan to take over man kind. "which is why you're the smart one in this friendship," he answered, his attention turning to the man in front of him before flipping back to the pot. it was bugging him. he pushed that thought away, that an inanimate object was bugging him, and instead turned to watch his friend being pulling out the containers of food. he laughed slightly. "dude, how much did you buy? i'm pretty sure i'm not harboring a small army," he paused for a moment, looking thoughtful. "well, maybe a small army of dust bunnies but i seriously doubt they have an appetite," cam joked as he reached over and snagged a piece of pasta from the container darwin had opened and popped it in his mouth. he chewed on it before following darwin's example and grabbed a plate. "i'm pretty sure if anyone was to actually attempt to eat that, they'd turn into a zombie," he said, laughing. "i mean," he turned to look back at the pot for a second before looking back to his friend, "it's clearly evil. i've concocted something evil right here in my kitchen. i'm probably going to have to burn it." he sighed before continuing on, faking a mournful tone, "all that hard work i put in." he shook his head. camden smirked at his friend's words. "aw, darwin, did you miss me?" he asked teasingly. "i mean, it's completely understandable. i've been told i'm quite a person to be missed." he reached around towards one of the drawers, pulling out a couple of forks and some spoons for the pasta. "how's dance been going, anyway?"

"i'm just the smart one in all my friendships," he said with a cheeky grin as he looked at the different food choices. okay, so maybe it was a lot more than it sounded like when he's been ordering, but it wasn't his fault he wasn't sure what cam was going to want to eat and that all food sounded amazing to him. half the time he lived off salad and yogurt, so the chance to eat this many carbs in one sitting may or may not have gotten him a bit excited. and he didn't have to be so weary of what he ate since he did work out so much and was so active, but he still was just because he didn't need to put on any extra pounds or his career could be over. "i just may have gotten a bit carried away. we don't have to eat it all tonight." his eyes moved back over to the pot on the stove. he really didn't understand how somebody could mess up soup so much that it would become almost solid like that. "then we better not let anybody eat that. i for one am not prepared for the zombie apocalypse right now. i need a few more guns," he laughed reaching for one of the spoons so he could start putting food on his plate. of course he actually owned no guns at all, so he had a bunch to buy. "dance is good. we're doing swan lake so it's been busy. luckily i'm not a lead so i'm not there all the time, but still extra studio time right now and practice. you should come by some day. i'll teach you some footwork." he grinned as he popped some pasta into his mouth before moving to another container. he was pretty sure cam wouldn't want to come. nobody wanted to come to the studio they either thought it was too girly and wouldn't be caught dead there apparently or were just intimidated by how awesome everbody was. darwin didn't blame them either way really.
