Two little girls meet you at the door of the guild as soon as you walk in. Looking down you see the most adorable sight ever. Two little girls, one wearing a sheep hat and one with a bunny hat bow down to you. "Welcome to the magician's guild. Whether you are here to learn or increase your power, we are here to serve you and make the world a better place" they say in unison. "If you have any questions, ask me" says the sheep capped pink haired girl. "No, ask me!" says the other girls as she bumps the other one away with her bottom. The girls begin to scuffle. You think of separating the little ones, but a map catches your eyes first. It reads

Basement: Magician's lodging(not open to public unless you are invited)
First floor: Information center(you are here) magical fashion (right), magician for hire (left) stairs to first floor: straight ahead.
Second floor: Magical weaponry and armory (left) magical medic (right) stairs (center)
third floor: Academy

Palin Majere walks up and asks:

"I'm here to speak with my uncle Rastef. He sent me a letter by owl saying that I needed to come here immediately. Could you please tell me which floor is he on?"

Curren, the black mage pulls the sheep hood over Pikeru's eyes. While she is trying to pull it up again and bumping into walls in the process, Curren looks back at Hybrid. "Your uncle is a mage here? What class? Is he a teacher or student?

Palin looks back at the pair strangely.

"I believe he jusr resides here, but I don't know if he started teaching or not. Don't you have a record of some kind? If anything, he's probably a teacher."

"I don't know. I just work here" said Curren. Palin breathes sighs at the girl's silly comment. Once she realized he was not laughing, she got serious again. The other little girl finally got the hoof off her eyes and was about to charge Curren again when she accidently bumped into a piller, knocking her silly on her floor. She let out a soft and strangley endearing cry of pain. "What a dodo" says Curren. The magician's rooms are downstairs. I'll just let you through. Just follow the rules or else they'll blow you up." Curren shows you some stairs leading downstairs.

Palin thanks her and heads down the stairs. As he gets to the hall of their rooms, he pulls out the letter from his uncle and looks back at it. It reads:

Palin,

You should come see me immediately at the Magician's Tower in Noma. After the two girls stop arguing long enough to let you into the Magician's Lodgings, my room is halfway down the hall on the right. I have some things to talk to you about, as well as something to teach you. I'll explain as soon as you arrive.

Palin looks up from the letter to see the door to his uncle's room. He knocks gently and hears a voice say "Come in."

As he walks in, Rastef looks up from a scroll. He is dressed in black robes that flow down to the floor. A tall scepter with a purple orb atop it and a carved clawed foot sets in the corner of the room. "Palin! I wasn't expecting you to even get the letter until tommorrow at least! How did you arrive so quickly?" Rastef looks shocked at his nephew's arrival.

"I was already in Noma. Can you hurry with me here, uncle? I need to get back to Master hibryd." Palin says, looking back out the open door.

"That knight? Aye, I'll be as quick as I can. But you should know that your father would never have approved of him as I do. I have many things to speak with you about, as well as a few spells that it's time you learn." Rastef says, shaking a finger at Palin.

"Spells? Uncle, you are a black mage and I am a white mage! I can't learn those things!" Palin shouts, his arms extended outward.

"Maybe not." Rastef says, searching thorugh a drawer for something. "At least not until you change that." He comes up holding a set of red robes and a set of black robes. "And you aren't leaving until that change occurs!"

The door closes behind Palin, the lock clicks, and the handle disappears.

"Now," Rastef says, chuckling a little. "Your new lifestyle starts! No one will be seeing you for at least two or three days, Palin. We have much work to do with you. After that, you may return to your master. Or you may have reconsidered your views. Either way, you will be a mage of the Red or of the Black before you leave here."

Palin is gone for the next three days, learning complex spells of the Black Robes that his uncle teaches him. Will he choose the Neutral Red Robes or the Dark Black Robes? Only his reappearance in Noma shall tell.

Palin emerges after his three days in Rastef's room. His entire demeanor, however, is completely changed. He holds himself higher, with more confidence, and holds a new staff, one of cherrywood with a black orb atop it.

He is also wearing his white robes over his new choice of magic, and will reveal this change of heart when the time is right.

For now, Palin turns back, thanks his uncle, and leaves the Magician's Guild, searching for his only Master, hibryd.

A new portal appears right over the guild. Monsters of all shapes and sizes are dropping down and starting to assault the guild. Magician's are already on the case. Every creature is being vaporized and no matter how many appear, the entire academy is not being phased. Mana is seen climbing on top. She is joined by a couple of the other magicians. they all chant loudly and clouds of sparkling light go to the portal. Once it hits, it starts closing. The monster's attempts to attack the academy was a major failure. Breaker approaches Mana. "What was that all about? Are the monsters that are plauging Noma now coming here?" "I knew we should have done something. I'm heading in!" said Mana and she conjured a cloud. She sits on it and with a pointing of her finger, starts to wisp straight away to Noma.
