Nintendo Arcade -> Cell shaded graphics

Cell shaded graphics, will they stick with them?

stranga, stranga! Group: Admin Posts: 1,267 Member No.: 1 Joined: 26-June 06	Phantom Hourglass will use the same cell shaded graphics that the WW used. These graphics do work well with the handheld games, but will they stick with this style? I doubt we'll ever see another console game with those graphics, but what about the handhelds?

Yeah, its not like it took away from the game. In fact, I like WW just as much as TP's graphics. The character designs were especially great in WW. Everyone was really unique.

I mean, parts of it are pretty freaky, like when the hands are chasing you in the Twilight Palace after you take the orbs. I don't think Nintendo could have pulled that off quite as well with cell-shaded graphics.

That's true. I think the graphics were perfect for WW. As were the TP's. The story almost dictates the graphic style.

As I have stated before, I like the cell shaded graphics, but now, I really dislike the PH ones on the art. The lines are thinner and not near as gritty. There is a noticable difference and I dont like it one bit. Its just getting kiddier and kiddier.
