say hello to basil! he's nineteen years old and he's doing nothing with his life... no, just kidding. he's pretty much the capitol's poster child, which happens to be ironic because basil here can't stand the capitol. his hate for the place has steadily increased over the years and he's now at the point where he thinks the capitol is literally making him insane. he's thinking things he normally doesn't, and he's losing himself. his cocky know-it-all attitude is fading and he's beginning to question everything he does. basil is outgoing, although he's now become quite distant. the spotlight no longer holds any appeal to him and he'd honestly rather get drunk and wallow in his sorrows rather than give a dramatic speech for the children of the capitol telling them how lucky they are. basil is changing. he's become fearful at the thought of going insane.
<p><b>FRIENDS:</b> if you can stand to be his friend, props to you. basil never has been one for "friends". however with his newly developed bouts of insanity, i can see him getting attached to someone. someone that he can confide in and have an actual relationship with, not necessarily romantic, but just something real, someone that will bring him back down to earth. now this being said, i think their friendship will be rocky to say the least, he'll push away and pull closer repeatedly as he struggles with his issues, but ultimately at the end of the day, he'd do anything for this person. dare i say he might love them? hell.. he'd never admit that.. maybe one day... <3
<p><b>ENEMIES:</b> this is where most people will fall. basil hates the capitol, basil hates the districts, basil hates the president... there really aren't too many people he does like. instead of flaring up and getting angry, basil fights mentally. he enjoys to toy with his enemies, finding their weakness and then attacking it repeatedly until they fall. he's never lost. which means he could totally use a blow to his ego. maybe someone calls him out on something? something he can't really come back from? yeah... i don't know... we can talk more about this if you're interested!
<p><b>LOVERS:</b> pfffffffft, who hasn't he slept with? probably any girl under the age of twenty... basil's totally into the cougar thing if you're catching my drift? OK. NOT THAT OLD. But he enjoys the challenge, so if you're a married woman who remains faithful to your husband... watch out... because basil is coming for you... but then he'll leave you alone, so it's all good xD who knows... i'm actually starting to just think basil's a total flirt... he'll flirt with pretty much anything considered female. feelings are completely different. he chooses not to show them, but maybe if the right girl were to come around he would open up a bit! i can see him sort of having this teasing relationship with a girl around his age, maybe younger?, who he thinks of as a "little sister". maybe someone that could potentially mean a lot to basil? i'm not sure how he would react to the whole thing at the moment, but we can always play around with this idea and see how it works if you're interested!

But I've been keeping my eye out on Basil here and maybe it's because I'm playing hookey today but I was reading over some of Basil for kicks and I just thought it'd be interesting to see him and Kingston interact seeing as both calls themselves a King. See where I'm going with this?

I just figured I'd suggest these two be plotted wherever if only because I think Kingston would royally hate Basil not necessarily because he's arrogant but just because King is King and he's a picky person with a massive ego. They also seem to have similarities such as their love for drugs and alcohol. Idk. Maybe Basil can at some point down the road have some sort of freak epiphany where King is like, "look in the mirror and tell me what you see" and has that whole "you're gonna look a lot like me in a few years, basil, if you either don't change your ways or at least manage them better." Though King isn't the advice-giving type (as much as that sounds like it XP) he does like to freak people out by showing them how he and them are alike.

King is from D8 and he's also a Rebel leader <s>hurr hurr they could maybe bond over hating the capitol or king is like "lol no" and basil gets pissed that he's left out of the fun</s> and he's about twenty two. He has a low tolerance for people in general and only puts up with them because he hates the Capitol more. <s>i wonder what he'll be like if the capitol loses any sort of hold on him. what will king hate then?</s> and I'm abusing the strike through text again so I'll leave it at he's just an awesome person who favors alcohol and is definitely an asshole to everyone he meets.

I would never murder you! It'd mean this plot would never get beyond the plot page! And what a travesty that would truly be! And yes, King would most definitely tell Basil to 'stfu' ahaha. But I have a feeling that would be because King would just find the personality annoying as hell. Though King is in a sour mood in my brain right now. I think that's because someone filled the request for his final and he's like, "do i need to do an exorcism on me? no. i don't want it." and I also posted a kiddie King who is like, the most adorable thing on the planet if you go to the past area on nightlock and look for geoffrey/kingston. But I digress...

That plot would be mega fun. ^_^ King is all about dishing the mean out at people, too, and I think they'd both learn to grudgingly accept the other's existence. I also just thought it was funny because King could be considered the King of his underground world and when he was little, he was called Prince as a petname. And I could just picture a whole lot of King going, "Dude. I invented the position." on Basil. I wouldn't want King to shock him too much right off the bat. P: So we'd have to come up with filler stuff that would lead to some sort of snappage (probably when Basil was just an ignorant butt one too many times around King) and yeah.
<p>
The really bad thing about this is that Kingston was thinking a while back about how he could make a move on the Capitol. And his whole thing idea was "find who the President would want to replace him. Get close to said person, and then usurp power when both are together by ending both." I had that awkward moment of going, "King. You're basically talking out Basil's death. No me gusta." And his face just went "... oh." So we could always try some variant of that plot (of course not having the desired ending as we all love Basil!) Plus, doesn't President Kaspar just sound brilly? [wink wink] It'd be a way to bring together the best of both worlds.
<p>

Most definitely in a non-creepy way. I just sit here and wonder how that cute little thing turns into cranky adult King. I'm pretty sure it's because his brother was so evil to him. Especially considering it's code for "yell at me one more time and that's it." I mean. He totally would kick out anyone who just insisted on that. e.e Those were some bad ooc rapid fire AIM sessions. But I vote that they meet first somehow. I'd really dig it if King was able to go to the Capitol for any reason because, like, the Capitol just has the lifestyle that King hates but wants at the same time. I dunno how they'd meet or why King would be summoned unless there's a Peacekeeper convention held in the Capitol every year where relatives are brought with Peacekeepers as a reward for their dedication to the Capitol's power hold.
