The muted sounds that managed to cut through the thick door to Aneira's room seemed very distant this evening. A few dances for the crowd had led to a few requests, but the dark-haired mortal knew the night was reserved for someone else. Wandering hands during a personal dance were as intimate as the evening had been for the young courtesan, and while she was grateful that was as far as anything had gone, it was made very clear the immortal wasn't pleased that he wouldn't have her for any amount of time in her office. Only after he'd been promised the following night did he let her leave . Still unsettled by the mild altercation, Aneira sat in front of her vanity table with one hand powdering her face in hopes of hiding the faint circles beneath her eyes. Most people didn't mind them - they were under no false impression of what the girls here did and didn't care if they looked a little tired. As long as you weren't acting tired in bed, everything was perfectly fine. She paused only when she was satisfied and quickly replaced the makeup in the drawer with a quiet sigh. Most men didn't bother reserving an entire night - in fact, there was only one that did it on a relatively consistent basis.

A small smile curled at the corners of her mouth as she ran a hand through her curls, willing them to look a bit more tame. There were few people she actually enjoyed seeing in her line of work., but there was no denying the immortal visiting tonight was one of them.Jace Worthington was a charming young man. Soft, gentle,, so different from the other men she had encountered. Her heart skipped a beat as she considered him further: his hands, his eyes, his lips. Dangerous thoughts. Swallowing thickly, she pushed the thoughts from her head and glanced towards the door when a light knock was heard. Her lips were curled into the softest of smiles as she rose from her seat and slid towards the door, cracking it open to see a handsome familiar face. "Mr. Worthington," she said quietly, a shy quality to her voice that came so naturally in these situations coloring the words. "Please come in." She moved back to give him room to enter before shutting the door behind them. She turned to take him in more fully, not at all surprised to find he was as attractive as he had been the time before. Her own attire was relatively modest , but that was more her style anyway. She smiled softly, a bit of color rising to her face as she regarded him. "It's nice to see you again." The alluring quality of her voice was entirely too innocent for what she did - had actually done with him - in her life., but the words were no less genuine than that of a girl half her age.

"Mr. Worthington," came the very shy voice that he had heard several times over the last year. Really, he had heard it even before then, but it was in a very different light. All he could see was her sharp eye and a sliver of her face, but it was a pleasant sight. A smile spread onto his own face as she allowed him in - "Please come in." - with the door closing behind them. His hands were set comfortably in the pockets of his gray slacks. Turning around, the wrinkles in his white button-up ruffled against each other. Now that he had a full view of Aneira, he took her in appreciatively. Jace Worthington had seen beautiful girls before, in several different centuries, and had been with many intimately. Skinny. Thick. Blond. Brunette. A Victorian heiress. A girl waiting tables just trying to make a break in Hollywood. Yet, there was something to be said about Aneira. The innocence she held even considering her line of work . . . the alluring pull in her eyes. The color that showed on her cheeks every time she looked at him. It was endearing, to be honest.

"It's nice to see you again."

Taking his hands out of his pockets, he closed the distance between the two and wrapped his arms around her very slightly. "Oh, Aneira, how many times must I tell you to call me Jace?" He spoke softly in her ear before pulling away. His hands were now on her shoulders, rubbing them gently. His eyes staring into hers, he smiled warmly. "How are you this evening?" He asked as he lead her to her own bed. "Joe isn't working you too hard is he? I'll talk to him if needed. My favorite girl shouldn't be worked to the bone. I quite like you the way you are." As he spoke, he ran his hand down her back before resting on her bottom before she sat. Looking down at her, Jace crossed his arms, a comforting expression worn on his face. "Forgive me, where are my manners?" Leaning down, he pressed his lips against hers, hoping to erase her current thoughts on her manager.

It was impossible to feel uncomfortable around him. The fear that tugged at the back corners of her mind eased as he turned to face her and past experience taught that in a few moments he would thaw the rest of it away entirely. But the first approach always made her tense. He closed the distance between them and offered a gentle embrace. The smile on her face grew a bit as he spoke. “Oh, Aneira, how many times must I tell you to call me Jace?” A pleasant chill ran along her skin as his breath found the side of her neck before pulling away. She looked up at him, hazel meeting blue in a quiet moment of understanding. The hands on her shoulders worked gently at the tension and just as she had predicted, another fraction of the fear disappeared, the dark-haired mortal sighing in appreciation. He was the only one who had earned the privilege of calling her by her given name; perhaps because he was the only one who could fully push her past experiences from her head.

“How are you this evening?” She allowed herself to be led across the room but didn’t answer him immediately. "Joe isn't working you too hard is he? I'll talk to him if needed. My favorite girl shouldn't be worked to the bone. I quite like you the way you are." The gentle path of his hand in combination with the short series of compliments couldn’t quite eliminate the thought of Murdoch. “No, I’m fine,” she replied softly, smile dying from her features as she settled onto the bed and looked back up at the immortal. “Forgive me,” he said, comforting look still adorning his face, “where are my manners?” She anticipated the kiss before it hit it’s mark but couldn’t help but moan softly when his lips found hers. As gentle as he always was, Aneira might have been astonished at how easily he banished her fears and uncertainties if her mind hadn’t been otherwise preoccupied. Her hand came up, sliding along his neck in an unconsciously coy manner before finding the back of his head and urging him just a bit closer.

Her mouth moved against his with the practice of the courtesan she was but the gentleness that betrayed how fragile her circumstances had left her. Her free hand was fingering the collar of his shirt, gently teasing the bit of skin that was free of the button-up protection before finding the top button. She pulled a breath away from him, surprised at how difficult the action was before surrendering to the growing desire and pressing her lips against his again, this time more firmly. Fingers wrapping around the fabric of his shirt, she gave a gentle tug before laying back on the bed, hoping he would follow after her but keeping her grip gentle enough to allow resistance.
