Karah poked the fire again, in a sort of mechanical movement. She just wanted this to end. The people here...they're just-

The bushes suddenly began to rustle and Annadell emerged. She walked down to the sand and sat by the fire, on the other side of it it that Karah was.
There was a heavy silence between them both.
Annadell wished to do something...reach out to the girl, but she was never a mom...never around any children before. And when she was on the run and helping others it was always giving the poor food or money..she didn't know what to do, and what if she was rebuffed?

And with that she got up and walked over to the shelter, grabbing up her bag, and continuing over to a tree nearby contemplating on her new position here in this strange land.

"Well here we are..." Annadell said calmly as they reached their destination, that wasn't really that far away to begin with. Karah was sleeping by now, weather by exhaustion or something else it was uncertain.
She walked swiftly over to the shelter which, by now was empty of all of the previous occupants. "Here, sit, or lay if that's more comfortable...." She took out her bag which now held small vials and leaf pouches filled with various shades of green and brown with a grassy aroma. She took some topical goop out and when David had showed her where he ached, applied it to those areas, afterwards, she exited, seeming to take something from Karahs pocket and gave a smile to Zen, then returned quickly she took out some crushed up plant life and rolled it up in some paper she had torn from the empty pages of a journal she had, "Here...this will help with the pain too...unless you don't smoke?"

David grimaced and was shocked at how face Annadell worked. If only doctor's back home worked as fast, perhaps Lauren would still be alive. He shuddered and rubbed his temples, careful of the cut on his head. He opened his eyes and looked up at Annadell.

"No I don't... kinda draw the line there...," he said, his face disgusted. He wasn't disgusted at Annadell for the idea, but ever since Lauren, he had stopped doing anything that could harm him for life. Smoking never interested him and he didn't particularly like the idea of it, regardless if it was marijuana or tobacco, or in this case, plants from a strange island. "But thank you," he added, his face relaxing. He looked about and saw the makeshift shelter. He also noticed a sleeping child and a girl of about 13.

"I can help make more shelt'rs... seeing as there are so many of us," he said, standing up. He sat back down almost immediately as his head started to throb. "Oh... ow..."

The sounds of people talking slowly awoke the little seven year old. Stretching and yawning, she emerged from the little shelter to see a new person. "Oh...," she whispered, suddenly nervous. She tried to escape without being seen, but the new man turned his head at her movements. She froze, almost in terror.

David smiled at the girl. "Why are you afraid, I don't bite," he said, putting his arms up in mock surrender. "I'm David, and you are?" he asked, knowing how shocking it can be to wake up on a strange island. He noted her dress and realized it was medieval, so either she came from a faire or she was of the medieval time period.

"G-Gwyneth," she revealed. His tone calmed her a little and she sat next to him. "Pleasure to meet you, sir," she said, smiling.

Annadell had already light up the joint when David rejected it, she shrugged and then breathed it in herself and exhaled, revealing that it was marijuana or something similar, "Take a moment, the herbs will kick in." She smiled slightly at his thank you and then went to sit down at the opening of the shelter on it's wooden lip. "...I don't think your quite ready for that kind of labor yet..." she exhaled another puff of smoke, "When you feel a bit better no one will stop you from adding to the place I'm sure...."


(Pfff....Karah's a heavy sleeper.)

David seemed almost dejected. "Well I see you haven't much besides berries... I know how to make a rough fishing pole... and I have a spare shirt in my bag that we could use to make a string," he said fumbling around his messenger bag.

He turned his attention to Gwyn after he was sure that everything was still in his bag. He kind of wished his cell phone was there but he had it plugged in right before the accident.

"Sir?" he asked, slightly surprised. He then laughed lightly and placed a hand on her head. "No, please call me David."

Gwyn blushed slightly at both the touch and his request. "Okay... David," she said after a few moments.

Annadells mood was rapidly improving, she turned toward David and got up, "...It is true, we do lack proper food... I saw some rabbits and small deer out in the bushes." She smiled, picking up her bag, "I'm gunna go get one of them for dinner I think....but you should definitely make that pole as well, I'm sure it will come in handy." and with that she walked off again.



Karah suddenly moved, rolling over and yawning. She sat up and rubbed her eyes and looked around, "....*shigh* we're still all on this island?"

Rubbing a hand through his hair, David smiled. "When I feel less dizzy I'll go find some branches," he said, looking at her before she left. He jumped slightly at the voice behind him and turning to see Karah waking up. "Hello," he said, smiling brightly.

Gwyn smiled at Karah. "Hi!" she said, bounding over to her. "That's David, he's new here," she said proudly.

Standing a fair distance from the camp and seeing no traps, August walked a little closer. With a sigh, he decided to keep away from the others until they were all up and mobile. Walking up to the brush, he sat down and pulled out an old, broken copy of Sun Tzu's "Art of War."
(I think that's who wrote it. Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Suddenly a young woman burst out from the brush in front of August panting, her huge fancy dress dishevelled with bits of twig sticking out at odd places. Seeing him reading she raised her nose in the air and pronounced regally;

“You! Yeoman, fetch a carriage to my father’s palace. You shall be greatly rewarded on arrival."

The book was gone in a flash, replaced with the heavy black pistol and the long knife. August stared down the the barrel at the young woman who suddenly appeared. Had she been wielding a weapon, he would have shot her in the leg. He was tempted to when she tried ordering him, but stopped himself. She couldn't have been from the campsite, he thought, or she wouldn't have ordered him around like that.

"Who are you? August slowly responded, although the question sounded like a statement.

(Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Luena is from the 1700s, didn't they have rifles by then? Unless you meant for her to call him a woodsman, then it's fine)

Luena was not pleased, her experiences of the lower classes was that they obeyed her every whim. This hooded worm was not reacting how she expected and so must be disciplined.

“do not point that… THING! At me,” she said with remarkable disdain, swinging with an arm to move the gun out of her face. “have you no respect for a Lady in distress? My father can have you hanged for LOOKING at me funny!”


A yeoman can be lots of different things, one of their descriptions from wikipedia is “a status between the aristocratic knights and the lower-class foot soldiers and household servants (pages).”

August dodged the feeble attack and stepped behind the young woman. He then kicked her in the back of the knees, grabbed a fistful of her long hair, then held his knife against her neck.

"Now, tell me who you are, where you think you are, and who your father is. And don't try to get out of this. How you answer determines whether you live or die."

Really, it was all too much for Luena who the most pain she had to deal with was a prick from a needle. She let out a skin tearing scream “AAAIIIEEEE---” before it got cut off with a punch in her gut. Then the steady motion of being dragged away from those who might have heard it…

August was surprised at how light the young woman was. Now that he had a reason to go into camp, he lifted her up and carried her into the shelter. Putting her down next to the wounded man from before, he said, "Got another one for you."
