Blake waited till Gwyn returned and then sighed at her question, "No...just these bottles of unmarked medicine." he had become a little impatient with her now and his mouth was pressed into a sharp line, "When David is stable I think I'm going to go after her. I need to learn how to be of more use in this wild environment...and when there's nothing she's willing to fight for she can be quite agreeable. Then I suppose...I'll come back here, it makes more sence to have some kind of medical person on each island..." he frowned, "I sure hope this is the only island that people are appearing on...what if there are other islands..far off in the distance and people are finding themselves there with out water? or dangerous animals?" he was half talking to himself now and then quickly quieted, smiling at Gwyn, "Or perhaps not. After all may be there's nicer islands out here and this is the worse one, then it's not so bad."
Suddenly he saw the royal woman appear, walking up to the campsite, Luena wasn't it? She had cut her dress, he noticed immediately...and he also noticed she didn't look happy. And then she left.

There was a slightly disappointed look on Gwyn's face when Blake said there was nothing. Sighing she found a rather large rock and took an empty coconut shell. "I suppose this'll do," she said.

As she worked she listened to Blake and started to worry with him. She seemed sad as he talked about leaving and about Annadell leaving. She had become attached so easily, as little kids are wont to do.

Blake watched as she adapted to the lack of tools, it was amazing to him to see that in someone so young. He turned his head back to Gywn and David after the woman left, and noticed that the child looked sad, his brain quickly tried to find something comforting to say, but he came up with nothing that would aid him, so instead he decided to move her mind away from any negative thoughts, "So, how are you able to know about herbal remides?"

Gwyn turned her head to him slightly and continued mashing the herbs until they were slightly liquidy. "My mum taught me... a bit anyway," she said, looking up at Blake with big blue eyes. She handed him the mush and looked at David. "I didn't get to learn too much but she said it was in my family... that and witchcraft, but I never believed that," she added, picking at the grass beneath her feet.

Blake listened quietly and took the medicine when she handed it to him. He turned his gaze towards David, giving him the liquid as she continued to speak, and when he was finished he turned his head back to her, "witchcraft? I thought that was only in story's..."

Gwyn smiled and looked at Blake with her china blue eyes. "Well I said I don't believe it... but Mum always did hint that Alice was a witch... but both think the other is dead... so Alice must have had talent young," she said, looking at the grass again.

It had really only taken ten minutes to make it to the camp, but Patrick still felt exhausted. He wondered if it was simply the new territory or the fact that he was truly alone here, regardless of the number of people. Suddenly he noticed a number of people, predominately David, Blake, and Gwyneth and his eyes widened. "Ah... hello," he said, looking at them all intently, but especially Gwyn, who looked so much like his daughter.

Gwyneth jumped slightly and hid behind Blake as Patrick spoke.

Patrick took a step back but then smiled, crinkling his eyes. "Oh no, don't be afraid... I'm a good guy," he said, taking a few steps forward. "I'm Patrick Simon," he said, extending his hand to Blake.

Blake turned his gaze back to David for a moment, then towards Gwyn once more, his brow furrowed in a quizzical fashion, but before he could speak his attention moved to the sound behind him of someone approaching, he turned around to see a man coming toward them. Blake smiled and was about to greet the stranger back but then was distracted when Gwyn suddenly got up and hid behind him.
His head turned back to the man as he stepped forward, introduced himself and then stretched out his hand. "Hello..."Blake got up slowly, careful of Gwyn behind him then stared at the hand for a moment, his head tilted a fraction as if in those few moments his mind was trying to figure out what was going on, then quickly it was over. He lifted his hand up to meet Patrick's, then hesitating a little, till he subconciously caught on to the body language and what was expected of him and then made contact and shook. This made him look at a glance as if he was not accustomed to shaking hands, or had never done so before. He smiled pleasantly, "My name's Blake, and this," he smiled warmly now looking down at Gwyn to reassure her, "is Gwyn."

Suddenly Karah reamurged, a bit scruffy with some dirt on her pants and a few light shallow scratches. She had a wild fire in her eyes, one of accomplishment. "Hey, I'm back." her voice started out rough before becoming quite chipper. She eyed the medicine that lay on the ground, "I've made a place where we can store these and more." she stated proudly while pointing to the meds, "Gwyn, want to help me put them away?" she now gestured to the area she had just come from.

Patrick shook Blake's hand and noted how he seemed unsure of what to do at first. He wondered if he simply hadn't had much human contact or if it were something else. He noted Gwyn's dress and smiled. "Oh, I believe I met someone related to you... at least she had similar features... your aunt perhaps?"

Gwyn didn't move at first but slowly moved out from Blake's leg. "Auntie Alice?" she asked.

"That's the one. If I'm not mistaken you haven't known her that long, a day or two perhaps?" he said. He shrugged and noticed as Karah appeared. "Hello there!" he said, waving at the girl.

Gwyn saw Karah come back and ran over. "That's another new person... his name is Patrick," she said, looking up at the older girl. "And yes I'll help," she said, picking up some of the makeshift medicines she helped create.

Blake, after Patrick turned his attention to Gwyn, knelt back down to David. He didn't mind being in the company of others but for some reason he felt that he had to work to stay engaged with others. By himself he felt just more relaxed...but then his mind would always start wandering. Not that it didn't always, but some topics, like who the hell was he could be quite disconcerting to think about alone.

Karah's body immediately tensed, it was delicate- not something one could really see without looking for it- but one could deffinently read it clearly in her eyes. She stared at him for just a moment her eyes cold, and then quickly as the message made it's way through that he was not a threat her body just as quickly relaxed. And she flashed a quick smile to not be rude. Then she followed Gwyn to pick up the medicine bodles.

Blake looked over and smiled, "You'll have to show me what you made later, when David gets better."

Patrick looked surprised a moment as Karah's eyes turned cold. "Ah," he said simply and was relieved when her mind processed his non-threat. "What happened to you in the woods?" he asked, putting his hands in his pockets. "And I'm Patrick, Patrick Simon," he said, taking one hand out to wave again, but this time less energetically.

David's eyes flicked open and he looked at Blake. The pain already felt lesser and his fever must have gone down a bit. He looked at Gwyn curiously as if she had done this. Technically the medicines had helped, but he immediately thought of magic. He looked at Patrick and started and then winced as his ribs hurt again. "Oh... another person?" he asked seriously.

Patrick turned his attention to David a moment. "Why yes... I'm Patrick," he said smiling. "Injured before arriving here?" he asked, pretty sure of the answer. When David nodded he looked forward thoughtfully wondering why everyone was here and why everyone was so different.

Perhaps this place was taking people who had certain skills. He and Cicero could practically read people as if they were children's books, Gwyneth, and he assumed Alice, could make medicines... Annadell and Blake were healers/doctors, and so on... Two of each... reminded him of Noah's arc. He furrowed his brows and decided to think about it later, possibly when he met the other people on the island, for he was fairly certain there were more.

Karah gathered up the rest of the varius medicences Annadell and Gwyn had made gingerly. Patricks question caught her, naturally, off guard. She gave him a sideways glance her face blank, but other then that did not ecnolige his question. Then when she could gather all she could, before walking off to put the medicences away she turned her gaze to him, "Nothing. Nothing at all." she finally answered before she returned her attention to Gwyn, "Com'on I'll go show you where it is." she smiled, "It's not to far at all." and with that she walked with Gwyn out of all three men's sights. Rounding the shellter she walked about 10 feet over to the other edge of the campsite where a makeshift- but seemed sturdy enough- group of shelves stood. It looked almost like a bookshelf of sorts.
"I was think'in" Karah spoke aloud to Gwyn, "Maybe when Ryan gets back we could build another shelter- for like the sick or something."



Blake smiled wholeheartedly, "Well David, you seem to be doing better!"

Patrick smiled slightly and looked at the sky through the trees. "Now lying isn't good," he said, closing his eyes and leaning against the tree behind him.

Turning to Blake, David nodded. "It seems that way... I still hurt... what did you give me?" he asked, wondering what in the world could have made him feel so much better in such a short time.

Gwyn didn't know what to say and so she followed Karah in silence. She looked at the shelves and placed the two coconut bowls filled with medicine on one of the shelves she could reach. She looked at Karah who happened to be holding the rest. She smiled when Karah mentioned the sick-shelter. "That would be a good idea... but where is Ryan?" she asked, looking up at Karah with her wide blue eyes.
