[Charlie Rhodes]

Charlie squealed as she hurried through the front door of the retro thrift shop. She had spotted a pile of neon coloured legwarmers in a neat little wicker basket as she and Ida had been passing by. The colours were fun and vibrant!

As she looked up she saw knee length brown and pink paisley skirt hanging on a rack near by. She picked it up too.

'Ida!! This place if fabulous!!!" She giggled as she began to load her arms with items from through out the shop.

The smell of patchouli stung her nostrils as she took in the polyester tragedy that had befallen the store.
"Yes, darling... actually no, ghetto-fabulous is too good for that. Charlie, what have I told you about the 80's? They aren't back, and they are never coming back, and there is a reason for that.... Dynasty. Do you want to unleash Dynasty on the world again? Think of the consequences of your act... OOOOO!" Ida stopped mid thought as she passed by the most spectacular 6" stilettos she had ever seen. They shone like a rescue flare in the middle of a natural disaster, she needed to have them.

She checked the label, and to her delight they were Prada! 'I can't believe it!' she thought to herself as she tried them on. They were the perfect fit.

"Oh, Char! Look, they're beautiful. They do wonders for the legs!"

"Dynasty wasn't so bad. The fabulously elegant clothing, and lots of gorgeous jewels... and fights! I loved watching the fights - slapping and yelling." Charlie giggled.

Charlie watched with a grin as her already tall friend stood to model the new shoes. The effect was spectacular to say the least. Ida towered over Charlie, who was 5'10", by at least a foot. And with her hair style, Ida's head almost touched the ceiling.

"Oh Ida they are fabulous!" She glanced up at her friend. "And your legs do look wonderful.... really long but wonderful."

"I now officially LOVE this place. Prada for fifteen bucks?!? I think I may have peed a little bit." Ida squealed with glee as she attempted to avoid an unfortunate hair/light fixture collision.

As she moved toward the back of the store, she found a beautiful Chanel jacket in a light teal with white piping.

"Oh, I think I'm having a clothes-gasm. Seriously, a full on, writhing on the floor, screaming clothes-gasm! Char, you are my new hero for the week!"

Charlie giggled, as Ida began to find vintage designer labels throughout the store.

"Oh my god, Ida, look at this poncho!" She picked up and emerald green knitted poncho with what appeared to be faux fur on the hem. She quickly put it on on top of short red dress she was wearing. She twirled around watching the fur flutter around her.

Her arms were loaded up with an assortment of colours and fabrics, almost all of which were not created in nature.

"Oh, Charlie you're making me dizzy, and with the amount I paid for this ass I don't want it to hit the ground from this height. Besides, you look like a Whirling Dervish's acid trip!" Ida tried to look away, but it was like a train wreck that demanded to be stared at.

"Well, I think I've picked over all the racks and commandeered the majority of the designer labels in this store. Let's go try some stuff on!" Ida said, half with excitement, and half hoping that the suggestion would stop Charlie's twirling that was threatening to make her nauseous.
