LET'S DO THE TIMEWARP AGAIN.LIBERTY ISLAND INCIDENTFALL OF 2006The highly publicized event now dubbed “The Liberty Island Incident” was the first known mutant confrontation with humanity. Earlier in the year, the Mutant Registration Act was presented to the United States Congress, which was applauded by anti-mutant humans and caused wide spread panic among the mutant community. Doctor Jean Grey’s appeal to Congress that ‘mutations’ were the next stage of human evolution and there was no reason to force them to expose themselves fell on deaf ears. Senator Kelly was an outspoken supporter of the new bill, which also made him a number one target for the then unknown terrorist cell of mutants called “The Brotherhood”. After Magneto created a machine that forced mutations on humans, The Brotherhood kidnaped Senator Kelly and used the Machine on him. Barely a day later, Senator Kelly died. The Brotherhood’s plan was to turn government figures who were at a ceremony near the Statue of Liberty into mutants, to make them more sympathetic to their cause. The group who stopped the attack and Magneto’s names were not released, and the Mutant Registration Act died in Congress. Recently, it was discovered that the forced mutation would have broken down the human DNA, eventually causing death.DARK CEREBRO (ALKALAI LAKE) WINTER OF 2007 The attack on the President, though severely downgraded by the then Administration, will be an attack remembered by both human and mutant kind. It sparked the reemergence of the previously rejected Mutant Registration Act and placed it back on Congress’s table. A few days after the events at the White House, there was a raid on the mutant school known as Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, which revealed the school’s secret identity as a safe haven for mutants to certain government groups and the military. The initial attack on all mutants with Dark Cerebro by a brain washed Charles Xavier outted many from their secret lives and they fell to the ground in pain first, but the attack soon reversed and humans were targeted. Tensions between humans and mutants rose to an all-time high, but a public announcement of the event and that the entire fault did not lie in mutants hands and that both sides had suffered tremendous loss did nothing to ease the tensions.THE CURE SPRING 2008 A mutant gene suppression drug, dubbed ‘The Cure’, was released in early spring 2008. By taking the blood of a mutant, code-named “Leech”, Worthington Labs was able to create the drug and soon replicate it. The idea of a cure was a salvation for some mutants, but to the rest it brought sheer horror and panic that humans would turn this ‘Cure’ into a weapon. Riots broke out all over the country, but after a few months of hype, the idea of a ‘Cure’ has just become common knowledge and the United States Government has made no move to turn it into a weapon. (We are forgoing the Alcatraz Island event and that the government made the ‘Cure’ into a weapon.) Proclaimed to be the largest scientific discovery since uncovering (the still highly controversial) art of cloning, STOR Pharmaceuticals produced (with the help of its silent partner Muir Island Genetic Research Centre) a solution to life's greatest mystery; aging. The age-reversal drug can revert the human body on the cellular level by as many as 20-40 years. More information about H2207 can be found HERE.THE MUTANT REGISTRATION ACT FALL 2011 Many mutants and humans would say that this was a long time coming; war. The war, humanity would argue, began when an unknown event swept the Earth for the second time in five years. The ‘big headache’ as it was described, killed over two thousand and left countless others in comas or permanently mentally traumatized. The United States government called for the mutant responsible to come forward, but no one did. The attack was made by Emma Frost, the White Queen of the Hellfire Club who wanted to see a war between humanity and mutants and believed that such an attack would finally push humans over the precipice – she was right. Only a week later, the President of the United States went to Congress and urged the Senate to pass the once dead Mutant Registration Act, which would force mutants to have to register themselves and what they can do. Along with that, he also urged for more money to be spent into the widespread development of the ‘Cure’ – both passed in early November, 2011.RISE OF THE LEAGUE OF HUMANITYSPRING OF 2015 In the Spring of 2014, the League of Humanity struck the city of New York with they most radical movement yet. While previously calling themselves D.O.M.A.I.N. (Department of Mutant Affairs Inclusively National) and working as a government agency to keep the peace, the League took everyone by surprise when they bombed the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Mutants, initiating a three-part battle between the League, the Brotherhood, and the X-men. Many mutants and humans were killed in the battle. This event marks the beginning of the Black Watch, as this was the last time Calder Rattray was a part of the Brotherhood. BLACK WATCH DEBUTFALL 2016In the fall of 2016, Calder Rattray and his closest followers launched an attack on the League of Humanity, severely damaging their Headquarters and killing several innocent bystnders. They were not fought against by the humans and by the time the X-men had arrived they were long gone. "You humans had your chance," Rattray was quoted as saying. "Our mercy ran out when you began killing the innocent."CURRENT TIMEFALL OF 2030 The world lives in constant fear. The humans worry about their lives being taken at any moment be an angry mutant.
