A new defensive line has been established in the Shuddering Wood. Captain Fox, veteran of the Battle of the Western Wood, was in charge of the initial construction. When Captain Sarlonis arrived, he took command until General Oreius was healed and arrived with his troops.

This comes after the loss of the Western Wood and Lantern Waste to the efreet, Augoron. The two territories have now been demolished and reformed, and a new mountain range stands between Narnia and the occupied lands.

Rumors have been flying about new weapons to be used against the efreet, but none of them have been substantiated.
