1. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Just in case you missed that, I'll put it again. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. RESPECT. Now that you know the word, I'll expect you to show it. And not just to staff. If ANYONE disrespects another member in ANY WAY they will receive an IMMEDIATE, PERMANENT BAN. If you have a problem with that, stiff bickies. It's not my fault if you can't control yourself. HOWEVER, if the person being disrespected retaliates in the same way, they will also be banned. Same goes for flame wars or anything else like that. I don't care who started it, I'm finishing it. All participants will be banned.
2. Spelling and Grammar. I really don’t want to have to be too strict on this, but having to decipher posts. For goodness sake people, use COMMAS, FULL STOPS and QUOTATION MARKS. DON’T simply put speech in bold, PUNCTUATE PROPERLY for goodness sake. We’re not a bunch of idiots, and we don’t want to seem like a bunch of idiots. If you have trouble with spelling and grammar, use a spellchecker. Spell-check.net is a good one. Don’t be lazy. A few typos are fine, everyone makes them, but too many is just stupid.
3. PLEASE type in proper, understandable, English. If, In-Character, you absolutely MUST use a different language, make sure you have an English translation. Netspeak, chatspeak, l33tspeak, or any other speak will NOT be tolerated. Netspeak and chatspeak is just plain laziness on a forum, especially an RP one. I can understand in a chat room, but on a forum? And as for l33tspeak: how many people can actually read it easily? I can’t, and to decipher it is a waste of time. So just type in PLAIN ENGLISH.
4. Register with your character name. That means FIRST and LAST. It helps to identify people. If your character is called Joe Schmoe, register as Joe Schmoe. Not Joe. Not Mr. Schmoe. And definitely not Peter Pan. Joe Schmoe. Got it? No numbers, no underscores. They’re not needed. Also, you’re character’s name has capitals, so your username should too. It shouldn’t be joe schmoe; it should be Joe Schmoe. You do only need one account, however, you can link all your characters into that signature. So, register with the first and last name of your MAIN character. If you have a character called Billy Blob as well as Joe Schmoe, who you registered as, but you use Billy more, PM me and I’ll change your username for you.
5. You MUST be at least thirteen(13)years old to be a member on this site. This is not my rule, it’s the law. If you had read the Invisionfree Terms of Service you would know this. As such, if I find ANY accounts owned by users under the age of thirteen I will be deleting them without notice. That’s right, if I have to delete your account I won’t care and now will I tell you about it. Seriously, I have to obey the law. And so should you.
6. When creating your character biography, please have the topic title as your character name, and your race as the description. It just makes the Character Biographies forum look a little neater, and helps people who are looking for ideas try and find things that aren't too similiar to their own. Really, this doesn't need much more explaining does it? Also, although it is fine to post an incomplete character biography, don't forget about it. I will be deleting any incomplete character biographies that aren't updated within a week. Kapeesh?
