Peter es el hijo del Doctor Walter Bishop. Es un genio expulsado de la universidad con grandes deudas de juego con la mafia. Su presencia suele ser necesaria para mantener a su padre lucido y cuerdo. Es tambien responsable de mantener a su padre en una institucion mental pero comienza a sentirse culpable por ello una vez descubre que no su padre no era como pensaba.
