By Eloria Newell James, community@leadercall.com

The family of a former Jones County resident is asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Roland Earl Plymale, who would have turned 58 years old on May 9th, has been reported missing by his family.

Barbara Watts, Plymale’s sister, said she needs to locate her brother, who was last seen on Sept. 2, 2008.

Plymale, originally from Soso, reportedly worked for the Jones County Sheriff’s Department several years ago. He later moved to Smith County and was reportedly staying in Forest in Scott County at the time of his disappearance.

Watts, of Arkansas, is in town this week searching for answers.

“I need to know what happened to my brother,” she said.

Watts said she has been in contact with the Smith County Sheriff’s Department, officials with the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, and the Newton County Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone with information concerning Plymale’s whereabouts can contact any of the agencies involved.

SOSO, MS (WDAM) - The family of a missing Soso man is hoping the public can help them find out what happened to him.

Roland Earl Plymale was last seen at a friend's home in Scott County in September of 2008 when sheriff's deputies asked him to leave after an altercation.

Three months later, in December, Pylmale's truck was found in Scott County on a rural road.

Family members said people in the Smith and Scott County areas have claimed Pylmale was killed and fed to alligators at a pond in Newton County.

If you have any information, or know the whereabouts of Plymale please contact your local authorities.
