So this is the first chapter of a book I'm writing. hope ya'll like it.

The Prophecy


A man, holding a candle, walked into the dark bedroom. Trembling from head to foot he walked slowly toward the bed. Why did he have to be the one to wake Zenor? The only reason Tom could think of was because everyone else knew what would happen to the one chosen to wake him. If only Jared had done as he had been told Tom wouldn’t even be within ten yards of Zenor’s room. Jared had been the first chosen.
Tom had now reached the bed. Shaking like crazy he stretched out his free hand to wake the man. His hand was shaking so much that just touching the man shook him wake.
“What?” he shouted as he sat up, causing Tom to jump back from the bed. His stood there cowering under Zenor’s gaze.
“Master, sh-she’s about to to have another one. As th-the l-last one wasn’t recorded correctly we thought you m-might want to hear it.” Tom swallowed hard as he waited for Zenor’s answer.
Zenor began making growling noises as he flung the sheets from his body. He stood and walked over to the wardrobe where he mumbled to himself as he pull out his robe and put it on. He then turned and followed Tom out of the room.
Outside the door a handful of servants were standing with there ears pressed to the door waiting for some sound of Zenor’s rage. When the door opened they jumped back, embarrassed to be caught eavesdropping.
Zenor stared around in disgust at the servants. Pulling his robe closer he continued down the hall talking to himself as he went.
“No privacy.” he grumbled as hs green eyes flashed with fury. Tom led him to the library.
The room, as most libraries are, was full of books. Bookcases lined all but one wall. that one wall was covered with a long tapestry. At intervals along the tapestry were placed several soft arm chairs.
A man and woman stood in the middle of the room. Behind them was placed a chair. The man was bent over with the strain of keeping the sleeping woman on her feet. When Zenor entered the room he stood as straight as he could.
“As soon as you are ready master. But you must be patient once she is seated for it takes time for her to fall into a deep sleep.” Zenor moved to one of the soft arm chairs and lowered himself into it.
“Proceed.” he said as he relaxed in the chair. The man lowered his burden into the chair, made her comfortable and then backed away. The woman's head fell back so that her nose was pointing up. She stayed like this for a few minutes.
Just as Zenor was about to get up and leave her head came up. Her eyes were wide and blank and her mouth hung open as if she were about to speak. She stayed frozen like this for a minute and then it began.

A mad man was banished, his son was sent with him. His son will return to the surface for ten years this night, to bring back a red head, the first one he sees. She will stop a plot to reach for the sun. Her name will be Emily, the chosen one.

The woman's eyes rolled to the back of her head and her head dropped back so her nose was once more pointing up. A minute later she opened her eyes and stood up.
“I must be losing my mind. I do not even remember coming here.” Her eyes then fell one Zenor. “Oh master. I did not know you were here. I am so sorry.” Her voice was high and she talked slowly. “I shall go now and leave you in peace.”
“One moment madam.” Zenor stood and walked to the door. He called in the two guards who were posted out there and then went back to his chair. The guards stayed by the door.
“Do you see this woman?” Zenor asked the two men. They nodded and Zenor continued. “I want her thrown in the dungeon!” The woman’s mouth fell open.
“What! Why! I did nothing! You can not do this to me! I am innocent!” The guards each grabbed an arm and dragged her from the room. As she left Zenor’s sight, she screamed one last question. “What have I done to deserve this?”
This last question rang through Zenor’s head continually. What had she done. She had reminded him of his past and told him of his future. She had said that a girl, a red headed GIRL would ruin his plans to reach the surface. It was true. He HAD been banished to a world under the crust of the earth and all because he was getting to powerful. His son HAD come with him. He was desperate to get out and WAS planing to escape.
“Frances. Find the man by the name of Tom and throw him in the dungeon. Then find Don and James. Tell them I need to see them.” the man who had supported the woman, left the room. Once he was gone, Zenor began writing something on a peice of paper. once he was done he sat back in the chair and waited. When the two men finally came he asked them to come stand before him.
“Don. I need you to gather some of your men together and go arrest my son. James take this to my spys. Now go.” As he watched them leave he wishpered to himself. “I can’t have them ruining my plans.”
Behind him the tapestry fluttered as the secret door behind it closed.

The way you were descibing it, it kind of sounded like Zenor was going to claw Tom's voicebox out. But instead he got thrown in the dungeon. Other than that, It's pretty good.
