In the arena you can battle against an NPC or another member of the site for levels, and, if you wish money.

In both cases, when you sign in for a battle, your current Pokémon’s statistics will be saved, so that anything occurring in your journey won't affect them. The experience gained from the fight, instead, will be added to your Pokémon as usual.

The amount of experience gained will be the same as if you have fought against a trainer in the main RPG.

You can come in the Arena as long as you have reached Celisay Town, from that point onwards it won't matter where you are or if you Pokémon are engaged in a battle or not, you will be able to use any of them as you wish, provided you follow the rules, obviously.

Battles can be one-to-one or two-to-two. In the first case you can use a maximum of three Pokemon for each, else you can use up to six Pokémon.

Before the Arena battle, all your Pokémon will be considered Healthy, but this doesn't mean they will be healed in your main profile. Same thing if your Pokémon faints in the arena, in the main RPG its health won't be affected.

You can have only one topic at time, and after you finish the battle, you have to wait a week before you can make a new one. After 15 days, if you have not replied to the arena topic, it will be closed.

In the arena, all the forum rules are still in effect, so no less than three lines posts, no SPAM etc.

NPC Battles mechanics

This fight works as a normal trainer battle, but you will gain only experience from it, unless the moderator found your fight so good to make you deserve an extra reward.

The Opponent’s Pokémon, and its gender will be chosen randomly.

For the level, the number will be random as well, but you can choose between three options to set the range.
Easy: The opponent's Pokémon level will be ranging from your Pokémon’s one to maximum three levels above. The Exp your Pokémon receives doesn't change. It is the pre-set level if you forget to state otherwise.
Medium: The opponent's Pokémon level will be ranging from your Pokémon’s one to maximum six levels above. The Exp your Pokémon receives improves of the 20%
Hard: The opponent's Pokémon level will be ranging from your Pokémon’s one to maximum nine levels above. The Experience your Pokémon receives improves of the 50%

It is mainly a matter of much you are daring, as if you choose the Hard option with a Lv. 5 Pokémon, you can either be lucky and get a Lv. 5 opponent, or be unlucky and get a Lv. 16 one.

Members Battles mechanics

For set a battle against another member, you can contact him/her by PM or make an announcement in the right section.

The two members will post their attacks as usual, and then a moderator will reply stating which ones hit and how much damage they did.

The members will have to use the same amount of Pokémon, meaning if one has two, the other can't use three of them. In case the opponents want to use more than one Pokémon, the starting ones will be chosen by the Moderator at random, so to keep the fight as fair as possible.

When a Pokémon faints, the opponent will have to choose to change his current Pokémon or keep it, before the other member send out the next fighter.

Double Battles mechanics

Double battles can be fought with both NPC's and other members.

Here are the available modalities:

You with a NPC vs another member paired with an NPC
You and another member vs a couple of NPC's

As you can see, in a double battle there has to be two members and two NPC's, no matter on which side they are. The posting order and number of Pokémon allowed (no more than three) are the same of the regular Member Battles. If the two members are on opposite sides, all the other rules applies as well.

The NPC's are randomly created by the staff, but their level is greatly influenced by that of the strongest player, so pairing with a way stronger member won't mean an easy win, on the contrary, your own Pokémon will risk a lot.

The difficulty level (hard/medium/easy) can be applied here as well, but will influence the levels of all NPC's in the field, opponents and allies alike. Be sure to agree on the difficulty chosen by the other member, because you can't change it at your whim.
