Felicia Hardy

Birth Name: Felicia Jane Hardy
AKA: Black Cat
Age: 22
Race: Human
Occupation: Photographer/Artist, Cat Burglar
Hometown: Queens, New York
Affiliations: none

The night was aged to three am, and even New York city had moments of rest, as rare and odd an occurrence that might be...it happened. It was the perfect time to gallivant outdoors and fatten her pockets with jewelry she really didn't need. Black Cat had been taking more than what was necessary these past days. When she'd first started robbing homes and stores, she took only enough to pay her rent, bills and to put groceries in the fridge to last a month or so. However, that had changed. It slowly morphed from the easily justified means of survival to an appetite for thrills. And it was only when she met Gambit, and agreed to be part of his little heist, did it dawn on her that somewhere along the way she had truly become her father's daughter - more smitten by the fact that she could, because she was so darn good at what she did. Heck, not even Spider-Man was able to apprehend her. But where did that leave her as Felicia? Well, more torn than ever, so much so that she'd don the Black Cat outfit more regularly. It would be easier if Felicia went away, but if Felicia went away...who would Black Cat be?

Her silhouette moved rapidly across the rooftop as she ran with enhanced speed. So much was going on in her life. both of her lives. She'd have to soon accept the likeliness that she would never find the person who made her this way, embrace the fact that she was a hard criminal, and understand how greatly at risk she was at leaving no possible means of turning back for Felicia. Whilst as Felicia, not much free lance work was available, she had no social life...she had no life. And that was one of her major problems. She couldn't or didn't know how to integrate Black Cat's confidence, sexiness and strength into the woman without the mask, leather and claws. If she could do that, if she could learn to be that woman without the alias, then life might be less complicated...less conflicted...less dangerous?

She bounded over the side of the roof, her legs together, her arms spread wide as she fell through the air towards New York lights. She caught the rod of a flag jutting off the side of a building. She swung once and catapulted her body over the side of another building, landing gracefully on its roof. With a sway in her step she calmly and coolly walked to the ledge where she sat and crossed her legs. Pulling a granola bar from between her cleavage, she proceeded to unwrap it. A working cat burglar still had to make time to eat, or something like that. But before she could take a bite out of the sticky, honey coated bar and savor the delicious roasted nuts and dried berries, a commotion caught her attention.

Black Cat looked below her at a stumbling girl taking a short cut. "Tutt, tutt, never a good idea..." she muttered, biting into the granola. But maybe it didn't matter. After all, she was grabbed off the street not an alley. Something else caught Black Cat's attention. Two men entered the alley from behind and two appeared ahead, blocking the girl's path. Drunk or not she knew she was in trouble. With nowhere to run she pushed her back against a wall and begun to plead.

"Looks like someone needs a hero," said Black Cat to herself, taking another bite of the granola. "Guess I could add heroics to my repertoire." She chewed slowly as she watched the men get closer and closer. She swallowed. One of the men took a syringe from his pocket and Black Cat froze.

It came rushing back to her just like on the night she encountered Sebastian Shaw. She was walking, the night was cold, and then a hand had clamped over her mouth and from the corner of her eye she'd glimpsed the needle before it sunk into her neck.

In a matter of seconds she was on the ground, rising up behind the man with the syringe and his partner beside him. "You know, Craigs list makes it a whole lot easier to find willing women." Without a moments hesitation, Black Cat struck the man with the syringe. Her fist buried into his stomach causing him double over. She rolled over his back and extended a leg into the other man's chest. He stumbled back but she was on him before he could recover. Swinging her leg in one swift and forceful motion, she connected with the side of his head. He collapsed.

"Then there were two..." she said cockily, turning to face the remaining men and the girl. However, she wasn't expecting that they would have already closed the distance. "Oh..." she managed to say before she got clocked in the jaw. Clearly, heroics don't agree with me.

"You're the sexiest arachnid I've ever met. I smell how much you like me.
But it doesn't take my delicate nose to know that. Your tights are tattling."

One of the men reached down to grab the syringe, clearly ready to use it on this feline 'savior'. Before he could, however, Wolverine reached around the man, pulled the syringe from his hand, and jabbed it into his neck. The man stared at him wide eyed before collapsing to the ground, drifting off to sleep. Normally Wolverine wouldn't just inject someone with a random syringe in a fight, but he had smelled that it was a sedative before he even grabbed it, and it seemed like the easiest (and funniest) way to handle him.

Wolverine cocked his head to the side, having heard the other man pick something heavy up off of the ground. He clenched his left hand into a fist, popping his claws, and swinging them out towards the man. His claws tore through what turned out to be a piece of 2x4 the man had planned to use as a weapon, though that plan didn't work out so well. As the pieces of wood clattered to the ground, the man could only stare in horror at the man snarling in front of him. He dropped what remained of the 'weapon', and simply winced, waiting for the final blow to come.

"Not so lucky, kid." Wolverine growled with a smirk, grabbing him by the front of the shirt, and tossing him rather effortlessly to the ground, right at Black Cat's feet. "We need you awake to answer some questions, and they won't be fun." He walked over to the man while he was still on the ground, and rested his foot on the man's back. He didn't have to push down on the man, instead letting the weight of his adamantium laced skeleton rest on him, easily pinning him in place.

"Not used to the hero stuff, I take it." Wolverine said to Black Cat, smirking a bit. "Not as easy as rippin' off some rich old fart, huh?" he asked jokingly. He knew who she was; he had read the headlines about the 'Black Cat Thief', and if she wasn't supposed to be 'Black Cat', she might want to consider a costume change. "So what brings you down here? Never pegged ya for the 'rescuin' damsels' type." Wolverine asked her casually, as if he wasn't pinning a grown man to the ground with a single foot.

The punch to her jaw swung her the other way. He'd squarely landed that hit but Black Cat remained standing. She teetered in her high heeled boots before quickly steadying like a feline recomposing gracefully after a rather embarrassing misstep. She could taste blood in her mouth, salt and iron which she spat onto the floor. A retort was in order, something along the lines of "my grandmother can hit harder than that and she's been dead for years", but when Black Cat turned around she found another player had arrived on site. And just like her, he wore a mask and yellow, blue and black outfit she kind of liked. With the increase of vigilantes, villains and wannabes, there was also an increase in tacky, cliched attire.

The man's costume was flattering. It pulled, stretched and contained all the good parts of his body which also included areas other than his crotch. He didn't waste time at all, jumping into the action by quickly dispatching the goon with the syringe. In a desperate act, the remaining bastard grabbed the nearest thing he could use as a weapon. The 2x4 was nothing against the claws of the newcomer. Black Cat also wasn't expecting those long, sharp knives to rush from the man's knuckles. She didn't think they'd work for her, far too brutish, but that didn't prevent her from feeling a twinge of envy.

The guy landed at her feet. Conscious, which was good. Black Cat didn't budge, but continued to watch as the man with the lengthy claws coolly strode forward and rested his foot on the goons back. He spoke to her then and a small smile played on her glossy lips. Oh, it's time to get acquainted, she thought.

Apparently, he already knew who she was. Of course he did. "Rescuing damsels type, no not really...but I like diversity, trying new things," she replied, glancing around his broad frame at the girl. Black Cat nodded to her to get going, and she complied after uttering a few stammered thanks.

"Seems like I'm running into a lot of you lately," she continued, referring to the likes of Spider-Man and others who now opted to don capes, cloaks and aliases. "Convention in the city?" she teased, being an absolute hypocrite in the process. However, a person who didn't know who she was might only think that she was into fetishes and BDSM. Lose the mask and she was just a hot, kick-ass chick in leather. "So what do people call you, huh? Cutlery? Super Blades? Wolf-man?"

Her blue gaze briefly shifted to the man beneath Wolverine's feet. If he knew something, anything that could be a lead about her abduction, did she want this...hero around? Black Cat looked up at Wolverine. "You know...I can take over from here."

"You're the sexiest arachnid I've ever met. I smell how much you like me.
But it doesn't take my delicate nose to know that. Your tights are tattling."

"People seem to be callin' me Wolverine, guess it's 'cause of my nasty disposition." Wolverine smirked at the woman in the catsuit, seeing that she had a bit of a snarkiness to her. He liked that, even if her motives were unclear to him at the moment. Didn't matter, though, if she had anything against the people who were behind all of these disappearances, then she was on his side. He felt the man weakly try to pull himself out from under Wolverine's boot, but it was futile. Though he had to admire his persistence in the matter, some how thinking he could escape roughly a couple hundred pounds of metal resting on his back.

"Thanks for the offer, but you're not the only one with questions for this douche bag. In the past month alone there have been about three disappearances, all of them involve people leaving one place, and never arrivin' at their destination. Two of those three people turned up dead in alleys, their bodies showin' signs of 'scientific' tamperin', includin' a thin needle mark in the sides of their necks. Roughly the gauge of the needle stickin' out of that poor 'sods' neck, over there." Wolverine told her, nodding his head towards the thug laying unconscious on the ground nearby.

This whole thing stank, a very familiar stink that struck a very particular chord for Wolverine. He knew the horrors of forced experimentation all too well; how else do people think he got an indestructible metallic alloy bonded with his skeleton? Hint; it wasn't natural. So to hear that innocent people were possibly being snatched up off of the streets, screwed with, and tossed out like junk when things didn't go as planned clearly didn't sit well with the hero.

"I'm perfectly fine sharin' this info with you; if you want to figure out what's happenin' to these people as much as I do, then I wouldn't mind the help. But I ain't leaving this one, not after the stuff I've found." Wolverine told her honestly, having nothing to hide from Black Cat, as far as this situation goes. "If you wanna ask the first question, be my guest; I think he's already startin' to bruise." Wolverine smirked, even as the man beneath him looked absolutely horrified.

Black Cat wasn't interested at all in what questions Wolverine needed answered, but as he continued to speak that slowly begun to change. What she had failed to find in the last couple of days, until this night, he was aware of for months. Other people had been abducted. She never thought to look for such a pattern, to consider disappearances in the city. All she'd been focused on was herself. Someone had grabbed her from off the street and tossed her like garbage when they were done, but how self centered she was to think it could have only happened to her. Her scope had been limited.

The mention of scientific tampering and needles lingered on her mind. In a quick flash she recalled the night she'd left the birthday party. She was on route to her friend, Talia's place when the sensation of being followed shivered along her spine. Before she even had a chance to turn around, hands were on her, she saw the needle and felt it pierce her skin before she was swallowed by darkness. They'd stripped her of her clothing and strapped her to a cold table. Her limbs were heavy, weighed down by the very numbness that blanketed her entire body. There was pain, lots and lots of pain. She wished for it to end but it went on for what felt like forever. Eventually, thankfully, it stopped. There was nothing. No fear, no breath, no feeling until she awoke in an alley. Black Cat idly brought a hand up to her neck to touch where the needle had punctured her. Realizing her action, she played it off by combing her fingers through her hair.

Her gaze shifted from Wolverine to the man beneath his boot. It seemed more likely that he would be the lead she was hoping for all along, and therefore had a common interest with the bloke standing next to her. That was alright, Black Cat knew how to share a ball of yarn and when to stop. She also knew when to pick a fight and fighting 'Knives' over the situation didn't seem like a good idea, as much as she'd have enjoyed a little wrestle solely to get her hands on what appeared to be a very honed body. Heroics and diet were really working for these men.

"So, ladies first, is that it?" she smirked at Wolverine. "Proving that chivalry isn't dead after all. That's lovely as a bag of diamonds, but if you insist..." Black Cat stooped slowly, sexily she got on her all fours and whispered into the man's ear whilst she stroked his cheek with a single claw. He didn't hesitate to tell her what she needed to know, or the fact that he was a dead man now. That wasn't her problem though.

She gently ran her hand through his hair before gripping a handful. Swiftly she smacked his face into the ground and knocked him out. "Men and their jewels. Can't think without 'em, can't live without 'em." Black Cat stood up and looked at Wolverine. "Oh, right! You wanted to speak to him." She shrugged her shoulders and begun to walk away. "Well, no need. Do you have a car, or shall I steal one?"

"You're the sexiest arachnid I've ever met. I smell how much you like me.

Wolverine watched Black Cat do her thing; a little different than his approach, though a very similar threat to sensitive places was thrown in. He couldn't help but smirk; he liked this kid, even if she had a bad habit for taking things that weren't her's. She knocked the guy out before he had the chance to ask any of his own questions, though he got all the answers he needed. Thanks to his keen sense of hearing, he got all he needed when she interrogated the man. He smirked at her, finally taking his foot of of the man to walk past her.

"I've got it covered. Got reputation to keep, can't be seen ridin' around in stolen cars." Wolverine told her. He stepped out onto the sidewalk just outside of the alley, ignoring the stares he received from random civvies passing him on the street. He quickly moved over to a sleek, black Yamaha V-Max parked nearby. He threw his leg over it and started it up, the engine roaring to life. Admittedly, this bad boy was the main reason why Logan's co-workers always saw him walking from place to place. This thing had cost him a pretty penny; got it used in some ads, but poured most of his cash into upgrading it with 'nifty' new features. Needless to say, worth every penny.

Wolverine pulled the bike up to the entrance of the alley, revving the engine to get her attention. It was quite a sight, seeing him sitting on this beast of a bike. Even if the color didn't quite match his yellow suit, the bike itself fit him like a 'glove'. He still wondered what her stake in this was; she had basically insinuated that she was 'bored' and looking for something else to do when she attempted to save the woman's life. Wolverine didn't buy that for a second, and not just because he was a human lie detector. He also noticed the way she had touched her neck when he mentioned the needle. He wondered...but it didn't matter. Her motives were her own, and he of all people should know to respect the secretes of those that truly wanted them to remain secret.

"Good enough?" Wolverine asked her, nodding for her to hop on. Though his work on the 'case' had only started not that long ago, there was a lot of evidence pointing to other missing persons cases being linked to these same people. If that was true, then there had been plenty more people to experience rather unfortunate, tragic ends in the name of some perverted idea of science. He wanted this over with, the sooner the better, so that people didn't have to worry about ending up like the two bodies he saw.

"Ready to punch some nerds in the junk?" he asked her with a wicked smirk, obviously enjoying the idea of 'physical assault' far more than he probably should.

This Wolverine guy neither flirted with Black Cat nor stared at her exquisite assets. He even marched ahead of her, talking about his reputation instead of lingering behind a bit to enjoy the round, apple bottomed view. That was new, kind of refreshing and kind of curious. She doubted that he played for the other team, not that it would be a problem but it could explain his otherwise...gentlemanly and disinterested behaviour. In her nights out and her days in, she didn't think there existed such a man - a man with self control, unlike Spider-Man. She grinned at the thought as she followed Wolverine. "I have a reputation as well and if you're driving a Pinto or a Prius, I'm gonna have to object..."

However, there wasn't a reason to object. Wolverine's ride was, for the lack of a better word, sexy. She'd never ridden on a bike before and she soon felt Felicia's insecurity and fears gnawing at her stomach. "Good enough? It's better than I expected," she replied, but still hesitated to hop on. She eventually did as she reigned in her nerves after convincing herself that a bike was neither a lesser or greater danger than the stunts she pulled by leaping from building to building.

Flipping her long platinum mane, she climbed on behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist, leaving her hands deliberately close to his crotch. "More than ready..." She pressed closer to his body. She was going to make it the most uncomfortable ride of his life. Black Cat rested her chin on Wolverine's shoulder, her lips poised at his ear. "You know...my mother told me not to take rides from strange men."

***

They'd arrived at an old factory, apparently closed down but acted as the base of operations for whatever it was that was being done to those abducted. She had no recollection of the place, not the outside but Black Cat figured that something on the inside might trigger a memory. Either way, she deeply felt that they, or she, was on the right track. She was close to getting the answers she needed, and making those who kidnapped her pay for what they'd done. As much as she enjoyed her powers and loved the confident moments, Black Cat couldn't ignore the fact that they'd experimented on her against her will, targeted her probably because she looked weak and easy, and then got rid of her when they thought she'd died.

Easing out of the vent, she landed in a crouch. Staying positively still, Black Cat surveyed her quiet surroundings. With her enhanced senses she could tell they weren't alone but the immediate area was clear. Satisfied that no-one was near, she stood up and quickly strutted to a blue door that lead out to the loading dock where Wolverine waited. She unlocked it, turned the knob and stood aside. "Aren't we cat burglar's handy?" she whispered, as she gestured Wolverine in. "Keep that in mind if we're ever on the opposite side of a... disagreement."

"You're the sexiest arachnid I've ever met. I smell how much you like me.

Wolverine looked up as the door opened, standing over three unconscious guards. While Black Cat was sauntering about in the ventilation system, he was busy discreetly taking down some guards that had happened upon his position. He shoved one of the men through the door, before dragging the other two in by their arms. He shoved all of them into a corner, glancing over at Black Cat with a smirk.

"Ditto." he retorted. Wolverine was all for stealth, and he was very good at it. It was just that his definition of stealth had a way of being different than other people's. Regardless, they were inside, and that meant that it was time to get moving. He took point, able to sniff out potential obstacles, and clearly very well trained in these sorts of things. Wolverine gestured for Cat to stop, and he peaked around a corner to see a guard coming their way. He lowered his head, listening to the foot steps draw closer, his eyes closed as he counted the paces. Closer, and closer, until...

Wolverine reached out, grabbed the barrel of the guard's rifle while he still held it, swung him around, and slammed him head first into the wall between himself and Black Cat. The guard slumped to the ground immediately, not even having time to 'yelp' before being knocked into submission. Wolverine picked up the rifle, expertly dismantling it and setting the pieces down by the unconscious guard. He then gestured for Black Cat to follow, before moving around the corner.

They were clearly at the right place, at least, considering the kind of firepower and armor these 'guards' had. Certainly had something to hide, though knowing this town, it could be a completely different secret facility performing illegal activities that require armed mercs for guards. As they moved through the halls, they came upon a pair of double doors. He quietly moved up to one of the doors, peaking through one of the small, round windows on it. One the other side, were two guards, both standing on opposite sides of another, larger door. This was apparently the only way into that part of the facility, and that meant taking out the guards.

"I got the one on the right." Wolverine told her. He began to count down from five with his fingers. Once only his fist remained, he slammed his shoulder into the right door, and charged up to the guard on the right. He grabbed onto the rifle, shoving it forward to slam into the guard's face, before using it as leverage to flip the man over onto his back. Wolverine quickly dropped to his knee, and slammed his forearm into the guard's head, knocking him out cold. He glanced over his shoulder, seeing that Cat was finished taking care of her target, as well. Wolverine faced the rather large and imposing door, seeing that they apparently needed some kind of key to get in.

"Screw that." Wolverine snarled, claws popping out of his right fist, which he quickly stabbed into the lock mechanism of the door. There was a large spark, and the door slowly slid open. "...skeleton key." he muttered, before the claws popped back into his forearm. The duo entered the new hallway, which was lined with several empty rooms. Each room seemed to have a bed and hospital equipment, even though there didn't appear to be anyone in any of the rooms. That is, until they reached the last door on the right, which was actually closed, unlike all of the other, open rooms. There was a sign on the door, which simply read 'Subject: 149'. Wolverine glanced over at Black Cat, shrugged, and 'unlocked' the door.

The room was pitch black, though the lights flashed on the moment Wolverine stepped into the room. Straight ahead, was yet another bed, along with hospital equipment, just like all the other rooms. However, this bed wasn't vacant; apparently asleep in the bed, was a young man, roughly in his early twenties, black hair, chin and mouth covered with thick stubble, clearly deprived of a razor for a little while. The man was out cold, and his arms were apparently strapped to the bed, though judging by the size of the muscles on the man's arms, Wolverine had to wonder just how much use they would be if he was actually conscious.

"....guess this is the only bastard lucky enough to survive the 'tests'." Wolverine guessed, distinctly smelling something 'off' about him. He walked over to the man, looking him over. He wasn't just asleep, he was in a heavily sedated state. He could smell the sedatives in one of the IVs attached to his arm, the dose high enough to suggest that it would take a lot to knock him out, and keep him out for extended periods of time.

"They've basically got him in a coma, makin' sure he doesn't wake up before they want him awake." Wolverine grunted, before carefully pulling the IV from the man's arm. "Oops..." he said with a smirk. "Alright, it's probably gonna take him a bit to wake up. I'm going to try and figure out the best way to get this guy out of here. If you're looking for something specific, I'd try one of the other two rooms. I need to go get somethin'..." And with that, Wolverine left the room, heading back the way they had come from.

"Ditto," he retorted. Black Cat smirked and looked at the men he'd knocked out and then back at him with a raised brow. She probably couldn't have done it herself, she still had a lot to learn in combat but frankly any bloke with a bit of skill and cutlery coming out of his arm could do what he did. Time didn't permit her to point this out in a way that would definitely irritate him but amuse her. She eyed his blades as he moved ahead. They were like shiny reminders to the fact that he could make her bleed. And not in the good way either. Not that she would know.

Black Cat watched Wolverine as he sniffed the air like an animal. The display hinted at further abilities, and she couldn't help but think that they were similar. He had kitchen knives extending out of his hands and she had claws, he possibly had enhanced senses and so did she. Her lips pursed as the obvious thing registered to her. Aside from the similarities in abilities, they both had an interest in the abduction and experimentation of those victims. She was one of those victims, was he as well?

Wolverine signaled for her to stop. Someone was coming their way. With perfect timing, her partner for the night, grabbed the guard and it was lights out for the man. He couldn't have known what hit him. If she had a pen and some paper she would've left him a note, 'It was this --> wall, lol. xoxo' Being completely thorough, Wolverine dismantled the rifle and Black Cat made yet another note of his possible skills. Who or what was this man?

She stepped over the unconscious guard, pausing only to rummage through his pockets. He had two hundred dollars and thirty five cents. Black Cat left the change and slipped the bills into her cleavage. She moved on with a smile on her face.

When the duo came upon a pair of double doors, a wave of de ja vu struck Black Cat. All the while she'd been hoping that this was the place that would give her the answers she needed, and not a waste of time. But now as the ominous feeling grew, there was a faint certainty that she had been in the facility before. She remembered a pair of doors that looked like the ones in her path. Wolverine's voice barely reached her as she stared ahead. Hazy images filled her mind, distracting her. Slowly, her gaze shifted to Wolverine who had begun a count down. When the last finger went down and only his fist remained, he sprung into action, and by reflex, so did she.

Directing the rifle upward, with her enhanced strength, she used her other hand to break the guards arm. Then in a swift move, she planted both hands on the floor, and swung her leg from behind into the guards face. Black Cat stood with her hands on her hips when Wolverine glanced her way. They both turned to face the other door which needed a key. It was nothing she couldn't handle.

"I've got this," she said. "Screw that," was Wolverine's snarled response as he jammed his claws into the the lock mechanism. The door slid open.

"You definitely did..." she replied, as sparks flew from the mechanism. He muttered something else, and she shook her head. She didn't get the reference though. They moved through the new hall way which was lined with several rooms...all empty except the final one that Wolverine, yet again, so gracelessly unlocked.

Black Cat hesitated before she stepped into the room. Lying in the lone bed was a poor soul, naked and connected to wires and an IV. She lingered some distance away until she saw his chest move. Moving closer, she touched the straps that bound him to the bed. She'd been strapped down as well, but there'd been more machinery, more noise, and pain. The sleeping man, handsome even with thick stubble, looked at peace. Black Cat looked around the room. I know this is the place, I don't recall this room but I know...this is the place.

"....guess this is the only bastard lucky enough to survive the tests," said Wolverine. Black Cat looked at him but said nothing. She thought about the empty rooms, she thought about the darkness that engulfed her on the metal table and the flat lining sound that pierced that darkness. Wolverine proceeded to pull the IV from the man's arm before leaving to establish a route out of the facility.

"Be right back, don't you go anywhere..." she said to the unconscious man. Black Cat briskly moved from room to room until she found one with a large cabinet tucked to the wall. Quickly flipping through the files she found one labeled, Subject 149, along with a date. It was no doubt the file on the man in the other room. She scanned it quickly but it was all scientific gibberish to her and no details about who the man was. She put the file on top of the cabinet and continued her search. She soon came across a leather case at the back of the third drawer.

She unzipped the case. There was a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. She stole the lighter and proceeded to skim the dates on the files. In a matter of seconds, Black Cat spotted the date she'd been grabbed from the street. Again there was nothing she could understand, except for the description which sounded like her and one line at the end of a report - 'test failure, subject deceased'.

Black Cat held herself together. There would be time to process and fall apart later. With both her file and Subject 149's, she headed back to the room. He was still unresponsive. "You've no idea how lucky you are," she whispered. "How lucky...we are."

"You're the sexiest arachnid I've ever met. I smell how much you like me.
But it doesn't take my delicate nose to know that. Your tights are tattling."

Wolverine knew it wouldn't be long before the 'troops' would be mobilizing, if they weren't already. That meant time was most likely short, and they would need to get what they need and get the hell out. But now it wasn't as simple as wreaking things and waltzing out of the inferno they left in their path; they had a survivor tagging along. An ass naked one, at that, and for his own decency and Wolverine's comfort, the first thing on the list was to get the unknown man some pants.

He moved out of the hallway, back to the entrance of what appeared to be the 'testing' facility. He looked over the two unconscious guards, gauging their sizes compared to the man in the other room. He chose the one that seemed to be the closest build and went to the unpleasant business of stripping him. The kid in the other room didn't need anything fancy, just pants and maybe a shirt, just enough to keep his decency. He cuts the kevlar armor off of the guard with his claws, making his access to his shirt easier. After collecting that, he moved to the pants, and pulled them off quickly.

"...Commando? Not the wisest choice, kid." Wolverine muttered, pulling the pants all the way off. He started to walk away, before using his foot to roll the mostly naked guard over onto his chest. "....yeah....really not smart. Just tell them the floor was cold." He made his way back to the room with Black Cat and their unknown friend, and was glad to see that she had already finished with her fact finding mission. He dropped the clothes onto the bed beside the unconscious man, quickly looking him over.

"Hope you found some good stuff, we'll need whatever we can get to bring these assholes down." Wolverine commented. "Kid's still out of it, but we gotta get him up quick. We ain't gonna have much time before this place get's flooded with more guards."

Black Cat looked at Wolverine with a raised eyebrow. She didn't respond to him but retrained her gaze on the naked, unconscious fellow. Without another moments hesitation, she struck him hard against the cheek and said, "Wake up!" Wolverine just watched her, his raised eyebrow hidden by the cowl he wore.

"Uh...pretty sure that ain't gonna work, darlin'. Probably give him a helluva headache when he wakes up, though." he stated with a smirk, sniffing around for anything that could help. It was a lab setting, it wasn't impossible to believe there could be an adrenaline shot around there somewhere.

Perhaps Wolverine had a point. Pushing her streaming hair behind both ears, she leaned in and lightly brushed her lips against the man's mouth. She broke the chaste kiss and shrugged her shoulders. "Guess it only works when a man does it." She glanced at the vigilante.

"...Try hittin' him again." Just then, the man on the bed began to move, clinching his eyes closed tighter, as he started to regain consciousness "Thank god...." Wolverine muttered, quickly moving to undo the man's restraints. "You alright, kid?" The young man finally started to open his eyes as his hand was freed, which almost instantly moved to rub his now sore face.

"The...hell....?" the man muttered in a groggy tone, apparently still feeling the 'love tap' Black Cat gave him.

"No time to explain, kid. Right now we just need to get you dressed and out of here....do ya even know where ya are?" Wolverine asked as he helped him.

"...honestly I had hoped I'd wake up in my bed and all this would have been a dream. Guess I'm not that lucky." the man stated, glancing over to notice Black Cat nearby, groaning in irritation. "...also not lucky enough to have pants on when one of my rescuers is a lady."

"Well, I got ya covered there, at least." Wolverine told him, trying his best to keep him from being completely visible to Black Cat as he helped the dazed man into the procured pants. "What's your name?"

"...Ben...Ben Reilly." he replied, pulling the black tee shirt on over his head. He was about to say something else, when suddenly all of the alarms began to sound. Wolverine turned sharply, already hearing the sounds of quite a few people moving around the base. Ben tried to stand up, but nearly stumbled to the floor doing so. Wolverine helped to stabilize him, realizing he wasn't going to be moving very well on his own just yet.

"Alright, time to start movin'. We go back out the way we came, if we run into any more goons we take care of 'em." Wolverine told Black Cat, then looking over at Ben. "You hide in a corner or somethin' if that happens. I don't know what they did to ya, but you'd probably just get yourself killed if you tried to focus on anything other than stayin' awake. Let's go." Wolverine threw Ben's arm over his shoulders, and started walking with him out of the room, ready to be done with this place.
