This is the place where plots, large and small, will be posted, mkay?

It is the Marauders' Fifth Year. Sirius Black, James Potter and Peter Pettigrew have long known (since Second Year) that their friend Remus Lupin is a werewolf, and in their Third Year they started to do something to help. It is this year that they finally complete the process to become Animagi and first transform halfway through the year.

Lily Evans still has absolutely no interest in James Potter, much to his dismay.

The Dark Lord is beginning to recruit followers. Perhaps a few of the more sinister Slytherins will express their intention to join him, though never too openly. Rumors are sure to spread around the school as he slowly gains power.

If you have any plots going on, contact Shannon and she'll put it here.

Peter, Sirius and James stay in the dorms over the Christmas brake where as Remus finds himself home for the holidays. The timing seems right as for the first time the three marauders attempt their transformation in the shirking shack. Sirius is found to be the worry wart, thinking that they can and will explode. Peter believes that becoming animals is nothing more then a dangerous situation ignited by fire (the unsure one). Although big headed, James seems to be the one to keep his focus and remind the other two that it is all for helping the friend.

Yes they are successful; they are the marauders after all. They spend the rest of the brake trying to find a way to tell Remus, knowing that he could or could not take the whole situation very well. When he returns they treat it all the same, trying to steal Remus’ Chocolate Chip cookies because James didn’t go home to get any from his mother.

Classes start up again and about one weekend in and two weeks away from the full moon; Remus heads off for the library. Alas, stupid Remus dropped his wand and it flew over near Sirius’s bed. Approaching his wand he finds a pile of books, in which he regrets to read the title but proceeds to see if they are over due, which they are. Knowing that they would sit there for another week, he piles them on top of his own and makes his way to the library.

Forgetting to drop them off first, Remus makes his way to window sill and begins his work. An essay later and two books read, Remus opens one of the books that he picked up from Sirius’s bed. He disgracefully finds one of the pages creased or “marked” and opens each book to fix each corner. It is not until the last book that the chapter name catches his eye, “The Dark Ingredients.”

Three books later Remus shakes his head furious and gathers up his things. Dropping most the books off with the librarian, Remus moved quickly into one of the many short cuts that the marauders have found. It is there where he finds and attacks Sirius, yelling in anger of the actions the three of them had made. As he tightly makes a fist, Remus noticed his wand underneath Sirius’ chin and stomps away before hurting Sirius any longer.

Instead of finding the other two, Remus goes low key for the remainder of the week. Avoiding the marauders at all costs, including most meals. He writes to his grandmother for advice without keying her on the full details. It isn’t until Remus’ chocolate stash goes missing does he speak to the marauders again. In the past Sirius stole Remus’ chocolate stash when Remus wouldn’t speak to them after they found out his secret. It was the one other time that he let the marauders see him angry, because Remus Lupin does not get angry.

James admits that he had taken it out of fear through the threats Remus raises. They do corner him the next week finally allowing their side of the story to be heard. Although Remus does not accept it, he allows them to help him during the full moon.

Noticing that Remus will no longer be around to heal them after the full moon, Peter becomes very good at healing spells. They soon stop going to the hospital wing or stop waiting for Remus to come out of it. Never do they tell him what he did to them, and it will take till next year for Remus to be comfortable knowing he is placing his friends in danger.

we all fall down ;

If these were to be the best years of a person's life, then Hogwarts' students weren't sure they wanted to see the worst. It seems that every teenager's battle cry is to live it up, but times are getting harder and harder to do much of anything without watching your back. Hogwarts was once a safe sanctuary from the outside world, a shield from the boiling madness of what was going on beyond the four walls the castle offered. But people are coming to realize that the water they had been treading in for years just got a lot deeper- and someone turned up the heat.

Dark times are slowly but surely falling upon the wizarding world, and terror is spreading like it's all the rage. Rumors circulate through officials, which spreads down to adults, which goes through families and winds up in the ears of students- and we all know Hogwarts. Word spreads like wildfire, and before they know it, people are splitting up into alliances before the teams even form. Now that the Dark Lord is slowly rising to power, the threat of a war is looming directly overhead. Violence is about the last thing that the students need, what with the usual pressure of homework, tests, friends, family, and relationships.

Familes pressure their kids into joining one side or the next, friendships are torn apart, and house tension rises quickly. Amidst the chaos and confusion, people are looking for somewhere to turn to. A place to go. Somewhere they know they will be safe and looked after; somewhere they can rely on with people they can trust- or, at least, count on. Thus begins secret groups of students- underground societies, if you will. People being joining together in their own little cliques or societies, judging on what side they're on, what house they're in, and what type of blood runs through their veins. Still, trust is a rare thing to find. Although promises are made, everyone knows it's every man for himself. Students are forced to choose a side- or else a side will be chosen for them. How can these delicate relationships stay in balance when everyone is so ready to whip around and stab someone in the back?

Things become less and less feasible the same time they become more and more believed. The air is buzzing with the latest Daily Prophet article: "WIZARD IS KILLED - CAUSE IS UNKNOWN" states the headline. Nobody wants to believe it, but everyone does. Lord Voldemort is back, and he's looking for fresh blood to either coronate or kill. It seems that one Hufflepuff student has indirectly fallen victim to the latter, because the entire house is mourning the death of their classmate's father. The case does not improve as many of the Slytherins can't help but smirk behind everyone's back: the Dark Lord has come, many of them are saying, and they just can't wait to be part of his crew.

The Ministry, no matter how stupid some would like to think they are, is not oblivious to the outside influence some students have fallen under. The Ministry, along with some of the staff at Hogwarts, are concerned that some of the students will be converted to the dark side- and worse, may act out upon their beliefs. Things become more restricted and restraints are unwillingly put into place as security becomes tighter, but will Dumbledore stand for this to continue and his school to become more and more like a prison?

The dragon dung hits the fan at the end of the year; some people just can't take it anymore, and a push literally becomes a shove. Before anyone can even blink, a full fledged brawl starts out in Hogsmeade, and the whole school is invited. True colors begin to show and loyalties are proven, but there are cases of false and honest deciet as the question of whether some "accidental" friendly fire is really all that friendly at all arises. When the smoke clears, things will only become more confusing. Who has been hurt? Who has been killed? Who is really on what side? Who has really won? Who can you trust? And who are you really?

There's no way out of it: stoop and be stepped on; stand and be shot at.
