I'll be perfectly fair though, picking up Asaunte Samuel was big. I don't care if "experts' think he's a product of the system, to me he's still a premiere, lightning quick cornerback.

From watching him its safe to say he's not a Champ Bailey kinda back, he's not a shut down corner. I'm not saying he's not good, but I think the Eagles are gonna get less than they paid for.

I don't think he does anything better than Bailey but it's going to be interesting to see who's got the best 1-2 Punch at CB in the league? Oakland, Philadelphia, Baltimore or Green Bay?

Asomugha, and Hall, can't count out Bly and Champ though.

I'll take the nickel defense of Samuel, Brown, and Sheppard over any tandem in the league, and it's not even close.

The way I see it, is we can either trade Sheppard now for some 2009 draft picks, or continue to pay his relatively cheap salary for one more years and get some quality defending out of him, then trade him next offseason for some 2009 draft picks. It's pretty obvious what Reid is going to do. We're going to have one of the top-3 secondarys in all of football next year.
