Can someone please help me?, Brawl's being a bitch.

Okay. so one day, my Wii just decided that I wasnt allowed to play my favorite game, Brawl, anymore. I thought the disc might be dirty, so I cleaned it. Still wont work. So then I put in EVERY Wii and Gamecube game I own. They all work EXCEPT BRAWL. So I ordered a brand new copy of it.

The Brand new copy DOESNT WORK EITHER. I thought my Brawl Data might be corrupt, so I erased it. STILL NOTHING.

If anybody has any advice, please for the love of god, help me =<

...and if any of you motherfuckers say 'Clean the disc', I swear to GOD I will strangle you if I ever meet you in person =/

If I recall correctly, this was a major problem with many copies of Brawl early in it's release. I'm not entirely sure how it was corrected.

I was gonna say, fuck with the lens. But every other game works. so, I dunno.

Have you tried cleaning the disc with toothpaste? it usually works for me, if your disc is scratched.

Step 1: Dab toothpaste on paper towel.
Step 2: rub toothpaste towel on disc in a circular motion.
Step 3: Wash toothpaste off disc extemely well.
Step 4: Dry disc.
Step 5: ???
Step 6: PROFIT!

Seriously, try it.

Gouka, since you know what you're talking about, can you do research on that and tell me what you find? I'll make it worth your while, I promise =<

And to Kristen; that would make sense to try... if the brand-new copy worked =/ None of it just makes any sense.

If what Gouka was saying is true, I think that could be the problem.

But then this brings up another question;

Why would it work before... but not now?

And no, I have not updated my system hardware in forever. And I dont have the ability to, either.

Hope this helps, if you need me to I'll do some more research, but I think the first link sums up the problem pretty well. As to why it worked before and not now, it's possible that the disc reading lens was clean enough before to play it, but was recently contaminated. As both links clearly state, don't attempt to clean it yourself. Again, I hope this helps.
