We live in the information age where there is hardly such a thing as snail mail anymore. Here you can find people's cell phones, their blogs, instant messenger, etc. Also find the sign ups for cell phones, instant messengers, and employment (due to the lack of somewhere for me to put it...)

The classrooms of The Academy are well-equipped with the latest education equipment, ranging from SmartBoards to laptops available for every single student who does not have his or her own.

The Cafeteria
Three meals a day are served in the cafeteria at Sumter Academy and everybody is expected to attend. Food is not supposed to be in the dorm rooms but, well, that doesn't work very well... Even so, if you want to talk to someone, your best chance is to find them at mealtime because, really, teenagers eat a lot

Library
Filled with a countless amount of antique books donated by alumni, The Academy's library is one of the finest in the country. It also gets new books just about every day, so there is rarely anything which people cannot find in the multitude of books.

Student Lounge
As you're not really supposed to talk in the library, there's really nowhere for students to relax after a hard day at work. So the student lounge was built by the student council. There are several couches, a refrigerator and microwave, a television, and a few additional features such as a fooseball table. There are almost always people in the Lounge so it's not the best place for privacy, however...

Sumpter Shopping Mall
Need a new shirt? Pair of jeans? New sneakers? A book? Want to see a movie? Just want to hang out? This is the place for you. The Sumpter Mall has every single popular chain store in it, including at least one Starbucks although there is a rumor that there are two, one at each end of the large mall, but that's just a rumor. There is also a movie theater which is perfect for dates.

Pie In the Sky
Yes, it's a small town. As a result, this is the only pizza store in the area, a quaint little shop where one can find a nice selection of cheap, yet delicious, food. This is also quite the hangout for a lot of the teenager's in the area.

CVS Pharmacy
Seriously, they're almost as bad as Starbucks. CVS is taking the world by storm and there's even one in Sumpter. If you need a perscription medicine, this is where you can find it. There are also toiletries, such as shampoos, soap, suntan lotion, and pregnancy tests. And for some reason, those always fly off the shelf...

Solo
The upscale restaurant in the area, this place also has a large banquet room, which is used for every medium sized event in Sumpter or can be rented out for parties. It's quite a bit more expensive than Pie In the Sky so teenager's rarely are seen there except with their families and on the occasional big date. Or they happen to be some of the wealthier students in the area.

Ultraviolet
A club which caters to just about every age in Sumpter. It allows teenagers in but cards at the bar and the owner is pretty strict about the drinking age being twenty-one, so don't even try. Well, you can, and who knows? Maybe the bartender will think you're hot. Or maybe some older patron of the club will decide to buy you a drink...
Going along with the name, most of the decor is dark purple and black, with a bit of silver and an occasional other color.

Coffee Prince
Residents looking for a rush of caffeine merely need to head to the business section for a few minutes before they see the a Coffee Prince. There are several in the town, including two in the mall.

The Hotel Grand
Don't let it's tacky name fool you; this hotel actually is pretty impressive. Five star, even. Unlike some small town hotels, this place definitely does not have hourly rates. And let me tell you, spending the night there isn't cheap either so only use it for special occasions or if you're visiting, unless you're absolutely loaded.

Sumpter Public Library
Used primarily by adults and young children, the public library isn't exactly the largest social scene in Sumpter, however it is an extremely quiet place and people don't tend to hang out there so if you're looking for some place where people won't see you...

Sumpter Park
It's an average park, with a jungle gym, a swing set, a little field for running around in and occasional soccer and/or football games. During that day it's mostly kids who hang out there but at night, well, that's when the fun drug-loving teens come out.

The inhabitants of Sumpter live in various types of homes, generally living in medium-sized to grand houses, although there are a handful of town houses and apartment buildings.
