For those of you new to the concept, Last Link: Digital Transmission is a “play by post” style forum morpg (Multiplayer Online RPG). To play the game you develop a character with personality, story, and background. You gain levels, items, and power by writing out lengthy stories called “quests.” You can also do quests with other players. The stories are judged by staff members who put the quality to a criteria. The work is judged based on length, quality, spelling, grammar, plot, and over all effort placed into it. The higher quality your writing, the more power you will obtain.
The basic rules of play go as follows:
-Submitted material may not be copied from another source and must be original. Using copied material is a bannable offense.
-Material used by you in previous works can not be recycled. Quests done in this manner will merit no rewards.
-Your own plot does not have to follow a linear progression but you must abide by a logical time line that is merit to the level and power you have obtained.
-When in a quest you are “In Character.” Using out of character comments or playing in an “Out of Character” manner will cause your work to suffer demerits.
-A level of literacy is inherent with the ability to perform highly in this forum. Those below the standard will suffer in not being able to achieve everything they might want to accomplish. When the literacy level is too far below the standard staff has the ability to refuse rewards and null the events that have passed in your quest.
Though these basic rules may seem strict, this is a site for play by post enjoyment with many people just wanting to have fun with character interaction or to expand their writing ability. Try to enjoy the site to your fullest but remain with in the bounds of the ToS, show the same courtesy you would in a real life social encounter, and respect the rules of the site.
If this sounds like the type of game you'd like to play, this thread should give you a decent idea of the story around here... If you like it, come on and jump on in!
