Addison had left Los Angeles to get away from Sam and now he was standing outside of her hotel room door. She'd have to yell at Naomi later for ratting out her location.
She paces back and front of the door, looking through the peephole only to see that he was still there.
"Addison, I can hear you pacing back and forth in there," Sam called through the closed door.
Addison opened the door and looked at Sam.
"What do you want, Sam?" Addison asked.
"We need to talk," Sam told her.
"We have nothing to talk about."
"I think we do."
Addison gave in and stepped aside to let Sam inside. She shut the door behind them before sitting down on the couch opposite of the one Sam was sitting on.
"So?" Addison started.
"Why did you leave?" Sam asked.
"I have my reasons," Addison answered.
"Was I the reason why?"
"Yes, but you weren't the only factor. It was everything; Pete, Lucas, you, the practice. It all became to much to handle. The only solution I saw was to leave. I guess that didn't do me any good," Addison said.
"You should have said something," Sam said as he moved to sit next to her. He placed his hand on her bare knee. "If I had done something wrong, you should have came to me and we could've worked things out. I'd do anything for you."
"I know, I was just scared. And I didn't want to hurt Nae's feelings. She's been my closest friend for so long and I didn't want to lose her. I'm not sure what I would've done if I had. I also care about you too much to lose you."
"You won't lose me, though."
"You don't know that for sure. I've fucked up every relationship I've been in and I didn't want that to happen to us. I wanted us to work, but I didn't want to break you. I would've never been able to forgive myself."
"You won't break me and we can work. All you have to do is trust me. Trust that you will let me love you and that you won't let your fears hold you back from loving me. I love you, Addison, and I will wait for you no matter how long it will take until you let yourself love me back," Sam promised her.
"What if I never can?" Addison asked in a whisper.
"Then I will still be there by your side, holding your hand and giving you a shoulder to cry on. But I know you and I know that eventually you will lower your walls enough to let me in, and I will be with you every step of the way until you do."
"I do love you, Sam," Addison told him, her hand caressing his cheek.
"I love you, too."
They sat in silence for a few minutes just staring into each other's eyes.
"I want to kiss you," Sam said in a soft whisper, his eyes neve leaving Addison's. Addison nodded, her blue eyes sparkling with approval. Sam leaned in slowly until his lips met hers.
Addison let out a soft moan as their lips moved together. She opened her mouth slightly and invited Sam's tongue in. Her hands wound around his neck, pulling him closer to her.
They pulled away when their lungs started screaming for air.
"Take me to bed," Addison whispered, her forehead resting against Sam's. Sam obliged, standing up before lifting her into his arms.
As they made love that night, Addison knew that she had found the one who she could give her heart to.
