I think it basically says that she playing sister to Ray Winston's character???? okay-just found this new article from reuters: LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Joseph Morgan, Emily VanCamp and Stephen Campbell Moore will star in "Ben-Hur," a four-hour miniseries set to air on ABC in 2010. Steven Shill, helmer of surprise box-office hit "Obsessed," is directing the adaptation of the 1880 Lew Wallace novel from a script by Alan Sharp ("Rob Roy"). Morgan will play the title role, immortalized by Charlton Heston in the 1959 movie -- a wealthy Jewish youth in the time of Jesus Christ -- who is seeking revenge and reclaiming his identity after being betrayed by his friend Messala (Moore). VanCamp plays Esther, the daughter of a slave and Ben-Hur's love interest. Also in the cast are Ray Winstone as Ben-Hur's adoptive father, Kristen Kruek ("Smallville") as his sister and Hugh Bonneville as Pontius Pilate. Alex Kingston, Lucia Jimenez, Miguel Angel Munoz, Marc Warren, Art Malik and James Faulkner round out the cast of the Alchemy Television Group project, which is budgeted at north of $22 million. The mini, which is competing against the memory of the William Wyler-directed Oscar-winning classic, will include the famous chariot race, which will be filmed in an oasis in the Moroccan desert. Morgan is best known stateside for his work in "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World." VanCamp stars on ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" and next appears in "Carriers" opposite Chris Pine. here's the link: http://uk.reuters.com/article/televisionNe...E5430J820090504here is the link: http://www.ecranlarge.com/article-details-11796.php

Yeah it hasnt really been specified yet (and for the love god, will someone please spell the poor girl's name right? I cant believe still think her name is Kristen Kreuk) Im assuming its true. I dont know how to feel about it just yet. From what there were discussing on Kryptonsite the character is somewhat of a minor role and she ends up being a lepper ( ), someone said its a thankless role but I hope thats not true and she can do something in that little time she has. On one hand Im glad that she'll be working with Ray Winstone closely but the bad news is its being directed by the guy who made Obsessed (if thats what the yahoo article states). Its an improvment over Street Fighter, I just hope they give her character some solid lines and she does a good job delivering it. Assuming she has the part...

K-site is a Lana bashing site. The guy who heads K-site hates Lana and makes it a point to promote it. He pimps Durance. Haven't you seen the K-site reviews, everyone of them is hostile to Kristin and bashes the Lana character, [EDIT: FOR BASHING KRISTIN'S CO-STAR/FRIEND]

Because of the Asian features of Kristin, I think Kristin should choose roles like that of a Chinese or Asian character that is going to put her as the leading character like that of Mulan, the warrior daughter or a remake of Butterfly Lovers. Mulan, I think Mulan is being remake already by Zhao Wei, a Chinese Actress, in China and it going to shown next year. If Final Fantasy would be made into a movie I think Kristin Kreuk would also fit to play a part of this genre. The only problem is that Kristin should learn to speak more fluent in Chinese maybe in mandarin. I think Kristin mother is a Cantonese cause most of the Chinese in those Regions in Indonesia are Cantonese. Most of the Canadians Chinese are also Cantonese. For me, it is very hard to learn Cantonese. Mandarin is much easier to learn cause their is a system in learning it and it is widely spoken in China market. The phrase Kristin spoken in Chinese in Chun li was a mandarin and from the way she speaks it I think she really needs to keep on practicing to be able to gain the proper accent, grammar and fluency. I think she could also play Wonder Woman if she gain a little bit weight just like when she was starting of her role in Smallville and her gorgeous long hair before really portray that of Wonder Woman character. She should find roles that portray her as a lovely and adorable woman but at the same time portrays a independent, strong willed character. I wish Kristin the best of luck in her life and I'll always be her loyal fan and friend in all of my lifetime.

I agree she should pursue Asian roles but its gonna be tricky. For whatever reasons there's a sect of people who feel she wasnt "Asian" enough for Chun Li (which I thought was ridiculous and screamed of paranoia) but she may encounter that same problem. I would love to see her get roles that reflect her ethnicity of someone of mixed race. But as you said with her Mandarain dialect, she needs to really really take on and research a role to the point of solid convincing. She does a bit with stuff like Partition but obviously the role needs to be convincing.
