out of character; anyone welcome to join; let's get this place active with roleplayingness. x) ..Once Upon A Time..
It happened too quickly. As if this was the end of her life and the beginning of her death, Takara began to look back at her life and savored the memories for the "remaining" few seconds as the crate fell. Every little detail of her life, all the faces that she had met, and all the good or bad times flashed before her eyes. She then realized that life was too good to waste, that it had to be cherished as each millisecond is ticking by. Her breath was held as the crate and ground collided, eyes squeezing shut. The door flew open, and a yelp was emitted from the female as she stumbled out of the container. Somewhere, it hurt, but she was still in a daze at the thought of being alive.
Four powerful paws stepped forward into the unfamiliar territory, her right hind foot slightly limping because of the injury. Emotionless eyes scanned around the strange place, realizing that it was a neighborhood. Was the kennel going to reside here now? No; she had recalled that the trip would be long. It had only been one hour or so.. At the thought of her master and fellow Golden Retrievers, she wheeled around towards where the large truck was headed. The street was empty, and not a being was around. Where was she? Where was she supposed to go? What was she supposed to do? How was she supposed to live now?
Tassle remained limp against her hindquarters, motionless except for the occasional twitch. Takara collapsed down into a sit beside her crate, too dumbfounded to sort out her thoughts just yet. Several minutes ticked by, and an uncaring driver honked at her and swerved away. She, suddenly afraid, trotted over to a tree in someone's front yard and sat down again. The door of the family's house opened and out ran a ten-year-old girl, surprised to find a gorgeous golden dog in her lawn. "Mom! The human pup shouted, leaving Takara outside looking on for a few moments before running out again with her parents. She was used to humans, but wasn't exactly comfortable with this strange family.
"We should feed it at least.. I have some extra dog food from Bitty's. I'll go get it, Dad." The child was saying. Takara slightly tilted her head, watching the two adults cautiously and now on her feet. "Easy there, precious.. We won't hurt you." The man of the family, probably the most dominant, crouched down and patted the ground in front of him. Her ears flattened against her skull as he did so, and tail slightly tucked between her hind legs. All four legs barely crawled forward, and rough tongue slid across her mouth. "There, there.." Now the woman was stroking her head, and then their daughter skipped out with a bowl of food and disappeared to fetch the water.
Takara carefully ate all of the food and drank the water, but the family decided to let her go on her own, hoping that she’d find her way home again. Little did they know what had happened because, in all of the excitement, they hadn’t noticed the crate in the middle of the road. Instead, the threesome had scurried inside and let her walk down the street by herself. The lonesome Golden Retriever padded/limped down the pathway, still in the vicinity of the neighborhood, but no longer within the area of the incident. She finally stopped and emitted a silent sigh, desperate to find a fellow canine. What was she to do until then? This didn’t seem like a place where dogs would wander, but if she was lucky..

'Where am I? What happened to my.. my.. house?' The rather young husky cross spoke to himself, shaking his head lightly and fixing himself into a more comfortable position. 'Did I ever live in a house? Where was a born? How come I can't remember?!' He groaned, pawing up at his maw in annoyance. Kenji was in a laying position in a small and narrow alley. His fur seemed oddly dirtier and scruffy, looking almost as if he's been lying in a pile of dust for days. Actually, that's what happened. For about two days now, Kenji was laying in a distant corner off to the side of the dark and narrow alley. He was just recently bashed in the head with a rather large chuck of metal, and now he was being forced to find himself again; no matter how hard that would be, he had to do it. What moron would walk around and not know who he was? Kenji was working on that mission, and hopefully, would conquer it soon.
His brownish hazel eyes drifted slowly up to the sky, eyeing it suspiciously. So he was outside, huh? With a rather loud groan, he lifted himself up to his feet. He was weak, yes, but lying there would only make him weaker. His weak looking eyes shifted around the dimly lit alleyway boredly, trying to figure out what had happened and why he was here. He would have been thinking a whole lot harder if his head didn't hurt so much. Wait a minute- why did his head hurt? He whined softly to himself, batting up at his head in a miserable manner. A loud sigh was heaved from deep within his chest as he shook his body, ridding himself of some dirt. While he wasn't still clean, he wasn't as dirty anymore. Dust particles flew freely in the air, causing Kenji to sneeze. He gasped for breath once he was through, reclining to a sitting position. Another sigh was heaved as he gazed down at his feet, shuffling them while he lost focus and drifted into though. His vision became a blur and he was totally unaware of his surroundings.
'"God damn you, Sarge," a gruff voice threw out at a rather large looking dog. "You’ve done nothing but ruin my whole fucking life. Just leave already!" The same male called out again, stepping forward and snapping his powerful jaws in the other's face. The other dog, who seemed to be a German shepherd, simply growled and snapped back, stepping forwards. "Ah, you deserved it, ya moron." The shepherd spat back in a slick accent, lowering his head and challenging the other dog. "Shut it, you bastard," The other shot out, lowering his head as well. "Go fuck er master..." He narrowed his eyes in a challenging way as he stepped forwards onto the shepherd, lunging soon after. The two got mixed into a fierce fight, battling out and thrusting each other into odd and unlikely positions while they snapped and clenched for each other's necks, hoping to strike a vein and cause death. How bloodthirsty they seemed.'
And that was the little daydream that Kenji had. 'Who were those dogs? Was it just me, or did one really look a hellofa lot like me?' He spoke inwardly, shaking his head softly to regain his full sight. His erect ears twitched softly as the male mix sighed and stood up. His tail hung limply next to his hind legs, not moving at all except for the occasional breeze that would force it to sway just slightly. He licked his lips to moisten them, to make them wet instead of dry and crusty. He gazed around to see if anyone was in the distance, someone to ask where he was and how he could get out of here. Realizing that his sight wasn't that great, as most dogs' weren't, he lifted his nose into the air and sniffed to scence any dogs. Nothing. Well, except in the vast distance, and that was really faint. And that's when he heard a crash.
He threw himself into a crouched position, just slightly alarmed by the whole crashing sound. So he was dealing with personality and problems with himself, and now a whole obnoxious crashing sound? Ears perked back as a cool and steady breeze whisked past. His nose was lifted into the air as he picked out the parts; female, and seemingly, a retriever or some kind. A sigh was heaved as he shook his pelt once more, ridding it once again of the dirt and useless particles that got trapped inside of them. Tail gave an involuntary wag as he sneezed again and began to pad off and out of the alleyway. Eyes were emotionless and his expression was excruciatingly hard to read. The poor guy was so drawn into his thoughts about who he was he didn’t even know what to do about the situation he was in. He could either meet a new dog and make a friend or simply push aside that oppertunity.
He slowly padded his way out of the alleyway. His pink padded paws colliding with the ground with every single step he took. His tail shuffled involuntary as he walked, his movements causing his tail to sway just slightly behind his gentle frame. What was he to do now? Walk up to the golden that was walking down the street or simply ignore her and walk the other way? For the first few minutes, he figured he should just turn around and walk the other way, but this feeling got the best of him; he wanted to play. He wanted to get out there and bounce around, to spring about and be joyful. But for now, he gathered that within himself and padded towards the well-groomed golden. Hazel-like eyes showed mild interest as he gazed her over.
He panted quietly as his rouch, pink tongue rolled out of his mouth and down the side, lolling out in a puppyish manner. He would have bellowed out a loud and sharp yip, but he hadn't really realized he was meant to be playful yet. Erect standing ears perked forwards and then slightly back before tilting back to their normal position. Just as he was about to cross the rather deserted looking street, a small greyish looking car zoomed passed, missing Kenji by a few inches. He threw himself back, alarmed and scared. His hazel eyes were opened wide before relaxing again. Few. That strong gust of wind that blew through his fur caught him just slightly offguard, and now he was slightly shaken.
With yet another soft sigh, the mutt strut over to the golden, his head held somewhat high. Tail gave an involuntary flicker as he trod next to her, matching her pace. "'Ello there, miss," He spoke in a kind and gentle tone, unsure of which he should use. "The name's Kenji... you?" He asked, tilting his head slightly and gazing forward, focusing on the pavement before gazing back. Perhaps he'd make a friend. Perhaps not. All he knew is that he'd have to atleast aim for the starts, because if you never try, nothing will be accomlished.

out of character; yush, I like your postie. x) now to come up with another long post. –hides- ..Once Upon A Time..
Takara didn’t know what to do; she hadn’t a clue of what to think right now except for the thought to find her master. She missed his gentle smile and the way he patted her head lovingly. She missed his sense of security and the fact that she’ll always be safe with him there. She missed, and so dearly missed, how he would be able to comfort her whenever possible. But now, her lips curled back at the thought of how foolish she was, to let him cage her up. He should have let her sit beside him on the passenger seat, so that none of this had to happen. The young female could be lying on that seat right now if he hadn’t had to crate her up, but it happened anyway.
If you could always comfort me whenever possible…why aren’t you here to comfort me now, master? Takara heaved a heavy sigh, closing her eyes for a few seconds and stopping to take time to clear away her cluttering thoughts. With an abrupt shake of her head, she managed to erase them for the time being, just as her emotions were now washed away from her eyes. Speaking of which, both pools of piercing eyes reflected nothing whatsoever, no kindness, no warmth. Instead, one could practically sense a cold gleam, but anything else was hardly noticeable at all. She resumed her walking, or trudging, if you wish. Nothing could possibly cheer her up at this time.
Gradually, another being’s foreign scent lingered around her nostrils and alerted her of a stranger’s presence. Takara began to sort out what she could through judging the smell: it was another dog, a male one. His breed wasn’t too clear through scent, but most likely a larger breed.. and probably some sort of Husky too. She shrugged the possibilities away and only focused on the thought of meeting someone new and unfamiliar to her. How should she react? This other being.. this male.. he didn’t seem to carry a threatening sense to him. Hopefully she wouldn’t have to make a new enemy.. but time could only tell in a situation like this.
Takara continued padding onwards, though staying on-guard of anyone who would approach her. One vehicle whizzed by, causing her to flinch and freeze, but carrying plenty of smells in its breeze. The other dog’s scent was stronger now, but she didn’t notice anyone yet, for the car caught most of her attention. Soon enough, however, the clicking of claws against the pavement brought her ears to prick forward and her head to turn. Her two eyes rose to find a Siberian Husky-like canine coming towards her. He had a black-and-white pelt, and the intricate features of a Husky.. but his buff form hinted of Alaskan Malamute too. Whatever the case, he seemed friendly enough, though she was still cautious enough to be wary of his presence.
"Ello there, miss." The stranger’s voice broke the silence between them, although Takara was still walking at the same set pace. His tone of voice seemed gentle to her ears.. and kind, too. "The name’s Kenji… you?" Indeed, there didn’t seem to be any intentions of harm, so it most likely wouldn’t hurt to offer her name.. would it? She kept her empty expression, though gave a hint of friendliness with a wave of her flowing tassle. "Hullo m’lord.." Strong jaws parted to speak, and her voice clearly contradicted her cold expression. "I be blessed with the calling of Takara. Pleased to meet you, Kenji." The Golden Retriever chose to speak respectfully, and kept her ears slightly relaxed to show no threat.
Despite her empty eyes and her missing smile, Takara’s voice was perfectly normal, with a soft, kind tone that was easy on the ears. At least that and the little wave of her tail would prove that she wasn’t hateful in any way. Besides, it was just after the big crash did she start acting so paranoid. Slightly slowing from her rather quick walk, she began to just step forward in a casual manner, each step in a rhythmic beat. "What brings you to this neighborhood, m’lord? Anywhere specific that you are heading to?" She spoke again, this time carefully thinking out conversational questions. "Might you know exactly where we are located, Kenji?" That was where her voice ended, for she didn’t want to push him with too many questions now, would she?

The occasional car whizzed past, roaring slightly as it brushed rubish across the paved street. Each time a car would pass his way, the mix would slant his right ear back and eye the street causiously, not wanting to be caught off guard by something unexpected. His fluffy tail flickered back and forth unvoluntarily. A soft and even pant was shed from the male's vocals with every other step he took. His chest and stomach area beated in rythm with his even pantings, almost as if they were working side by side; together. Kenji's strong brown eyes glistened slightly as the sun caught them in an odd, yet peaceful way. The young husky mix was somewhat peaceful, yes. It was hightly obvious that he wouldn't do any damage to Takara, that was for sure.
'A large pool of blood stained the marble flooring. Humans gathered around with awed expressions on their faces, one holding a gun in hand, another on the brink of tears. "Sar-SARGE!" The man close to tears called out, tears now streaming from his black eyes. "Ah buddy, don't leave me! I love ya, pal!" He whined in his manly voice, patting and comforting his cop dog and assistant. The cop with the gun in hand knelt down and patted the cop's back. "It's alright, Howard. We understand how you feel. Sarge will make it; we promise." He spoke in a tender voice. Animal control eyed the dog over. "Sorry sir, we'll have to take him now. He doesn't look so good. That bullet seemed to strike a pretty large vein. He'll bleed to death for sure." The AC officer said, hanging his head and lifting his hat off of his head. "Terribly sorry, he's to be euthenised. Please sign this form." He spoke once more, having the cop sign it.
Howard did so, a few tears staining the clipboard. "There," He spoke in a miserable voice, kissing Sarge on the cheek once more before walking off, head hanging. Sarge's ear twitched slightly, and that was his very last move. Meanwhile, a husky watched from outside of the window. He chuckled evilly, shaking his head and lifting it in dominance. Tail curled over his back as he ran off, not wanting to get caught by the Animal Control. He ran and ran, for what seemed like days. Before he knew it, he was in somewhere totally different.' That's when the daydream stopped, that's when Kenji's eyes grew less foggy and he regained conciousness. He trod on, making sure to match Takara's even pace with his own. His tail flickered slightly, curling just gently over his back half.
"Takara, huh?" He inquired, quirking a brow questioningly. Tail gave a short, unvoluntary wag as he looked over to her, head slanting sligtly to one side. He didn't know exactly what he was doing or what was going to happen next, all he knew is that something inside of him told him what to say and when to say it, without his full consent; it just seemed to happen. His perked ears flapped gently back and foth abd twitched a few times, giving him an innocent puppyish look. His partially decent looking fur gave off a stunning glisten as the spring's sun hit it in an extrodinary way, reflecting off of it just marvolously. His paws flowed with steady ease over one another with each step he took, gently sliding infront of his frame. His movements were swift and easy, gentle and spunky.
Where were they? He had no clue, and that was the full truth. His eyes shifted slightly to gaze out infront of him, to look at what was coming. His gaze strayed from that to gaze around at his surroundings, trying to pinpoint where they were. Everything seemed so familiar, yet still so distant. Head tilted lightly as he shrugged the best a dog could. "To tell you the truth, Takara, I have no clue." He sighed out lightly, looking to the floor, "I was lost just a few minutes ago. I was acutally hoping that maybe you could be of my assistance, but perhaps we shall just be lost together, huh?" He groaned siltently, making it least noticable that he was slightly agitated. He wanted to figure out where he was, to get somewhere safe. He wanted to figure out who he was, and why he was here.

out of character; sorry for not replying earlier.. been quite busy with recent goings-on (my sister’s birthday, my own birthday, and Christmas). I’ll try to stick around for the winter break from school. >D I apologize for the shortness of this post. ..Once Upon A Time..
As each strange car drove quickly by, her muscles would tense and her ears flattened. It wasn’t too pleasant to be walking down an unfamiliar sidewalk with a newly-found friend without anyone else familiar to console with. A shiver ran down her spine. Not of cold, but of fright. Where was she to go? How was she to survive in this foreign place? At least she had befriended someone for the time being, or so she assumed. It was nice to know that there was at least one other canine companion to look to and accompany. Where were they heading to, though? The Siberian Husky mix also seemed to be lost, but she didn’t want to skip to conclusions yet.
"Takara, huh?" Takara brought her attention back to Keiji, listening attentively now that he was talking in response. Her gentle eyes now flickered over to him, just to find a puppyish look on the creature. A smirk brushed across her velvety mouth and her well-groomed tail gave a wave. She brought her pace from a slow stepping to a swift trot, imagining that they were in the show tournament that week. The shows were marvelous with plenty of new dogs to meet and scents to figure out. And then there was the actual ring where the entered dogs were to be shown. She would trot in at an easy gait, then let them handle her and walk around once, maybe again if need be.
Snapping back to the present walking, Takara emitted a silent sigh and continued on, throwing a glance over to her friend once in a while. Ears pricked forward as he parted his jaws to speak, listening to his every word. "To tell you the truth, Takara, I have no clue. I was lost just a few minutes ago. I was actually hoping that maybe you could be of my assistance, but perhaps we shall just be lost together, huh?" She offered a kind smile and giggled at his last sentence. “I guess so, Keiji.. What do you think we should do, though? I seriously have no clue.” Those were her words to reply, thoughtful and sincere. As they breezed by a bush in someone’s front yard, a rustle caused her to freeze for a couple of seconds, only to resume her trotting after finding it was just a bird.
