It's currently Spring.

The harsh weathers of winter have passed and now it's warm again, or well, it's getting there. So everything isn't all too bloomy, but it's no longer gloomy. Strays finally feel safe enough to actually come out and enjoy time with their friends and family. They don't seem to mind that it isn't all that warm just yet.
The weather is moderatly nice and getting better by the second!

12/15/05- Alright, all of you people who haven't posted yet, I want to see you post. You can join a topic that is already exsisting or create a new one, just do something to make this place active. If you don't, however, I'm going to be forced to host an activity check soon. Remember to stay active and spread the word!

12/6/05- Okay, so I just wanted to say that Justified Strays is officially open. Feel free to roleplay and post your bios, get in the spirit of roleplaying. The other admins and myself will be advertising a whole lot, so be prepared to take on some new members (hopefully ^^;)!

12/4/05- Welcome to Justified Strays! We're all about roleplaying stray dogs, so better get used to that if you're joining. We've recently opened and haven't yet had our Grand Opening. We will soon, though. Don't advertise anywhere yet, because we don't really want any people coming over here until we're finished. Currently, I think the only thing that we're waiting on is Klaud with the logo. xD No rush, Klaud. Anyways, just stay posted and keep up the activity and interest!

Nervous footfalls pounded against the hard floor as the delicate female ran, her direction and meaning unknown even to her. Eyes remained wide open, looking fearfully around everywhere - For no place was safe in her eyes. She went by the calling of Laika, a fine name for any female such as herself, and she did infact take pride in it. A name famous amongst humans for their kind, anyway, and all about a dog, too. Statues were raised in her honour - The one who gave her life for their research in space.

But the husky was unaware of this. She just felt it had a 'ring' to it. Fair enough. She liked it anyway. But such un-related thoughts were not in her mind today. She had found herself out in the country somehow, and had strayed from the streets she knew so well. Being out in the open air reminded her of a tortured past, and she could see large foresrs in the distance - Eerily like the one that cloaked the hiding place of the labs - Her living Hell.

Slowling her frantic pace, she soon found herself outside the gates of a schoolyard. Young humans had been released from inside for lunch, and were running around, happy as can be, in the fresh air. A young girls attention soon drew to the silver dog by the fence, and she wandered over merrily, arms outstreached for a pet. But no, such a positiong reminded the dog of humans coming towards her in a simalar fashion, to remove her from her tiny metal cage, and take her away for more pain and misery. Fear filled her eyes, and she scampered away immediatly, leaving the bewildered gaze of the human cub behind her.

She raced around to the other side of the school, and to a much quieter area, behind many blocks of classrooms and corridors. A chill spring air ran through her coat, and she sighed. Safe, comparativly. No cubs were around here, and they all stayed around the playground side of the large building, forgetting about the dog almost straight away. Checking this new place was safe, the little female lay down quietly, resting her weary head upon her paws, and slept.
