Another one of my poems and a fore warning my teacher (it was a homework assignment) said "its an bit dark" and "it evokes alot of emotions":
Bloody
The smell of blood fills the air, There is no end to the battle which wages, And all I can do is keep fighting, This sword and these hands are stained with blood, And yet all I can do is stain them more, My blade seems to scream for more, Yet my heart can bear no more, The sight of death clouds my eyes, I can’t escape this misery, I feel so dead inside now, I feel I belong on this battlefield, Struck down like the others, But all I can do is stand there and fight, I must fight on, there is no alternative, I must protect the ones I love even if it means my death, A sudden darkness comes over me and I only hope its death, But then I realize its only night and not the end, I pray for death now on the battle field though it never seems to come, The blood shed does not end, And the smell of blood fills my head like a poison in my veins, And yet I still fight on, An endless bloody war.
