It was a cool and chilling morning. The trees rusteled in the soft breeze coming from the sea and the wet grass stroke against the stables. Deamond came out of the dragon-stables, brushing the remainings coal and ash from his cloths. It was hard to handle a dragon with a cold... but he was used to it already...

"Stupid dragon..." He sighed and nodded his head aside. With a look at their house a smile returned to his lips. It was time for breakfast and after this night he really needed the food...

"Are you aklright, Dea?" Deamonds mother stroke her son through the hairs looking at him a little worried. A frying pan with eggs and vegetables was in her hand and she made her way to the table while keeping an eye on her only child.

"Yes I'm alright, mom... don't worry. The dragons just ... were very hard to handle tonight. One of them has a cold by the way. I will go and collect some herbs later in the mountains if you don't mind." He smiled softly and sat down on the table. The smell of the food was so delicious... he couldn't wait any longer for the last missing person in the dinner-room -his father- and started eating.

"It is okay, but please be careful! There are some really frightening rumours about a dark dragon appearing on the northern part of the continent... It is just a rumour but it sents a chill down my spine!" She shook her head. A tall man with blonde-brown hair entered the room. Deamond's father was a very tall man. He was even much taller than his son who was a pretty tall boy already... He joined Deamond and started eating.

"You talking about the dark dragon?" He looked up from his plate. "I heard a drak dragon has appeared not too far from here as well. A village only a day-trip away from here was totally destroyed..."

Deamond felt how he slowly grew cold all over... a horrible feelng took over his mind

[OOC:Finally, we really need some bad guys though. By the way, this part takes place in another nearby village. Improvised~ I noticed a bit late it was "already destroyed" XD]

The village was ablaze, people running around frenetically without regard for others. Women were tossed aside and children trampled over as everyone tried to escape. One small boy was knocked off his feet by a charging steed; the town guard was abandoning them.

Eva stepped out of the ashes, looking around with an expression of untold horror. She saw corpses strewn all over the earth, families separated by death, and one shadowy, looming figure that resembled a dragon in the distance. She squinted her eyes for a better view, and noticed there was a small contingent of soldiers clad in dark armor surrounding it. Something like an alarm went off inside her. Slipping her hand to her coat's inner-pocket, she gingerly touched the yellowish orb, as if for good luck. She then removed her hand and silently sped off towards them, building up momentum and rage with every step.

Deamond stood up from the table and got ready to set up for the mountains. He had to search for a rare plant to increase the health of their farm-dragons...

After packing his back-pack with something to eat, card, compass and dagger (just in case) he left the house. He waved his father good-bye who was leading the healthy dragon out of the stables to the planes.

After A few hours of walking on the mountain, Deamond felt the exhaustion... He sat down on one of the rocks, calming down and looking around. It was only a short trip left until he reached the place where the herbs grew.


Suddenly he spotted smoke coming from behind a southern mountain.

"What the-!!" He hopped up and ran towards where he knew a little village was supposed to be.

[Nemo]

"Sir, we finished looting the dead and their homes," one insignificant soldier reported, then smiled lewdly, "And managed to capture a few young women. They're quite beautiful."

His general nodded, the only movement he made. His eyes gazed off into Oblivion; he seemed detached from the present. Suddenly, he jerked to the side. With near-lightning speed, he caught a small, but remarkably edged knife, which almost caught the colossus dragon in the head.

"Show yourself!" he growled, and no one answered, only another flying dagger. Before he could react, the dagger bit into the reporting soldier's back. Screaming in agony, he clutched the dagger and fell to the ground. He turned all around as fear slowly set in, making him feel naked and helpless. Then out of the ashes flew a shadow--or maybe a demon--whom stabbed another of his soldiers with two slender, curved swords, a double-thrust to the shoulders, arousing the attention of all the rest.

"You'll burn in Hell!" the demon screamed, when suddenly a black dragon knocked it off of its feet.

[Dragon Commando]

Kobayashi sat on a tree branch, looking out upon the landscape with a notebook, sketchbook, and other observational supplies packed in her bag. She took out a pair of binoculars to look out a little bit further. Smoke. Rising, and pretty fast, at that. She threw everything into her bag, dropped out of the tree, and as soon as her feet hit the ground she ran toward the source. Fire could never be considered good. Ever.

Kobayashi ran as fast as possible, her feet began to hurt after a while, but she pressed on, determined and stubborn, unwilling to admit defeat.

[OOC: Just so you know, there's some things to read about this in the discussion topic. I too started out with my dragon, but apparently that's not how it's supposed to be, Deamond told me. She said it's alright, but still everyone can't do it. You'll be at more of an advantage, though, considering we have to let our dragons age.]

It was a woman, they soon discovered. She flailed her limbs to keep them at bay as she tried to pick herself up again, but they were coming in fast. Eventually her back hit a wall--it was the end.

Surprisingly, the general barked orders for his troops to dismiss themselves from the pursuit. They all backed off hesitantly until he began to toss them aside. There he stood, alongside his great obsidian serpent, hovering right before her feet, which ceased to move, frozen in place. Slowly, he knelt down to her eye level. Upon noticing her glowing red and yellow eyes amidst pools of black, he instinctively fell back. The dragon grumbled softly, closing in on her.

An otherworldly and saintly aura poured from inside her jacket then, the bright, golden rays seeping out. She reached for the orb, brining it out just as it became consumed by that light. In the blink of an eye, the light dissipated, and all that was left from that ordeal was a small and mysterious white dragon.

Kobayashi was getting closer, and she could hear yelling and blood spatting on the ground. A village was coming up, and she could see a bunch of soldiers ordering other soldiers to burn everything. Shocked, she snuck into the village, zipping up her jacket. It may have been hot, but it added to stealth. Silently, she crept along, seeing a group of soldiers, a large man she assumed to be the commander, and a young woman with a small white dragon in front of her.

Kobayashi reached into her bag and took out a notebook, writing down her observations to come up with some sort of plan. Noting the skill of the young woman in combat, she put her notebook away and drew the rapier hanging on her waist, ready to fight if necessary.

[OOC: Alright, and don't worry, I got all embarrassed when I did. I was like "ZOMGRETARDLOL?"]

"Wh-wha?" the dark-clad elf stammered as the little white dragon appeared, as if from Nowhere. It's little wings expanded as it settled itself in a short, downward flight. Just as it tapped softly on the ground, it's eyes began to glow utterly white, and it released a powerful of beam of light from it's mouth. Taking everyone by shock, as all this took place in a matter of seconds, the little dragon struck the black behemoth full-force. The giant howled as it fell back, half of the flesh from its face quickly dissipating into the air. The general did not hesitate this time, he unsheathed his longsword and plunged ahead. By the time, Eva was up and ready, but was outnumbered by far.

[Dragon Commando]

Tired of watching, Kobayashi dashed out to the young woman's side. Clearly outnumbered, Kobayashi sighed and wondered what she got herself into.

"Follow my lead," she whispered to her new 'partner'. "Stay focused."

She held her sword in front of her, in a fighting stance, ready to fight.

[OOC: Uh, well forget the PM I sent, I'll put it here. Let's make this the last post before someone else joins in, before we know it we will have finished the scene and Dea will come in after all the action.]

From under her shady hood, the woman smiled in gratitude, "I'm ready." Unfortunately, the commander had not slowed in his charge. Picking up last second, Eva ducked just as his sword passed her, burying into the rocky wall behind her. She drew out her twin weapons in a flash, slicing his arm as he futilely attempted to bring the sword out. He fell to the dirt, but he wasn't done. Taking a small knife from a pouch in his boot, he cut her leg as she tried to pull away. She grunted as blood began to trickle.

Nearby, the small dragon of light soared high to escape the swarm of soldiers. It was only a baby; its beamed sucked out most of its energy. Still, it tried its best to help in the fight, sending out small beams that decently injured them. But it couldn't keep it up, they were outnumbered about 3 to 20.

OOC: Time to make my grand entrance XP

Li walked on the dirt path, the few precious belongings he had in a bag on his back, his sword at his waist. He hadn't eaten anything in a while, and his stomach was starting to growl. As he continued, he saw smoke and the tell-tale colours of a fire. " That village...was it attacked?" he mused, as he started to run, if there were any survivors left who hadn't been killed by the attackers or captured, he would help them, no one deserved that kind of fate. He reached the already smoldered entrance to the village, and pulled out his sword, as he advanced cautiously, the last thing he needed was to be ambushed himself. " Over there!" he heard a voice shout out, as a two soldiers ran towards him. He turned his gaze to face them, his piercing blue eyes emotionless.

" Prepare to burn in hell..." he muttered, as he dropped his bag behind him and charged at the soldiers. He slashed at one, making him cry out in pain, and the other one he parried his attack before kicking the guy in the gut, sending him sprawling on the ground. The first guy he had injured had gotten up, albeit bleeding like mad. " Yo...You'll pay for this!" he screamed, charging at Li, but Li turned to face him and in one quick motion, had sent his sword right into his gut, and quickly pulled it out, making the guy gasp before he died. The second guy had tried to pull a sneak attack, but li hadn't forgotten about him, and slashed at him, making him bleed like mad. As he collapsed, Li walked back to his bag, and picked it up. " I hope I'm not too late." he thought, as he walked through the blazing village, reaching the area where a battle was already taking place.

[OOC: Well...we don't want all of the characters to meet at this point. That wouldn't leave much interest for the future. Just remember that, we already got half of the character met, basically. Or if someone other than me, DC, Lloyd and maybe Dea wanna hurry and jump in, maybe just not into the battle, but simply starting off their story with a head's start?]

"I have you!" the general cried with glee, when suddenly his life was ended by the tip of cold steel. Before he had the chance, she had thrust her sword into his temple, right above the bridge of his nose.

With that threat no more, Eva shifted her head to notice the warrior charging from the distance, jian in hand. She stared harder, becoming cognizant of his expression: cold, but obviously hiding a building level of rage behind it, the flame rising up to melt the ice. Also, he attacked the dark-armored soldiers. 'Just as the saying goes, the enemy of your enemy is your friend,' she thought, and with that, she dismissed him as a threat and continued to fight on alongside the other female that jumped to her rescue. Only then did she realize she was slipping, and that she had to be more careful to keep up with them.

OOC: WOW! xD You were damn active!!!! lol xD Okay, but I think you are right... if anyone just meets not it might become really... weird xD So.. lets see...

Deamond ran as fast as he could to make his way through the mountains. Exhaustion caught him... he stopped and breathed deeply for a few seconds, looking at the dusty ground. What did his father say...? Dark dragons appeared? Maybe the village was attacked by them.. but why should wild dragons do this!?

He looked up. His eyes grew wide and he tried to rush behind a tree as fast as he could. Three giant dark dragons were flying his way. On their backs were saddles with dark clawed knights sitting on them. Deamond's heart nearly stopped beating as they flew over his head only a few meters away from where he was hiding. He could feel the air-pressure of the mighty wings on his whole body as they rushed past him.

A few seconds past before he dared breathing again. Leaning on the tree Deamond tried to bring his thoughts back into order... what was happening? Who were these knights? What are their intentions? Where are they heading towards?

!!!

"Mom! Dad!!" They were heading towards his home! Deamond dropped his bag with the supplies and ran as fast as he could back to the farm. He had to hurry! No time for exhaustion anymore!!

[Dragon Commando]

Kobayashi focused as she practically glided forward and struck. Her hair flowed behind her and out of the corner of her eye she could see a white-haired male warrior taking action. Brushing it off, Kobayashi smoothly and swiftly stabbed one of the enemy soldiers, in the general area of the chin. Without saying anything, she sighed and pulled her gold-hilted rapier out to raise it up closer to her face and start rubbing on the blood that trickled along the blade.

"Jeez. That'll take a while to clean." She wasn't even paying attention to what went on around her, but she knew better. When another enemy tried to jump her, she couldn't use her rapier fast enough. Instead, she ducked and reached into one of her jacket's front pockets to draw a small switchblade, which she preferred for incredibly close-quarters.

Instinctively, she turned over onto her back, belly-up, and grabbed the soldier's arm as he passed over. With a glint, she slit his throat, one of the only parts of the body not covered by armor. She squinted as some blood dropped onto her face, standing up and heaving the body at another set of men. Brushing her hair out of her eyes and wiping her face off, she figured that she had gotten dirty enough and started to walk away, assuming that the others could effectively fend for themselves.

Sorry for abandoning you, she thought, looking back. But I think that you'll be fine.
