This community was started by a Skeptic, Atheist, and general Non-Believer. I hope you fit into at least one of these categories, but if not, or if you're not sure, you're certainly welcome here as well. This is a place for learning, thinking, and even socializing.

If you're still not sure if you're ready to join, then think about this: Does every decision you make have its own effect on the greater outcome, or is everything predetirmined? Do you really have control over what happens to you? Would your life be the same 20 years from now if you dropped everything, got on a bus, and didn't get off until you ran out of money, as opposed to going to college and majoring in computer science? If your fate is already predetirmined, then it shouldn't make a difference, but if we do have control over our own destiny, then the simple decision as to whether to eat at the Italian resturant over the Chinese joint will have an impact on what happens tomorrow.



Some people see the glass as half-full. Others as half-empty. But if you look at that glass and say "Who's lying," then I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here.
