THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT?Last night, well early in the morning… was a little crazy. So much had happened in such little time that Cassadee was exhausted. She didn’t even bother changing into her pjs, she just fell sleep on her bed with her jeans, sweatshirt, and converse still on. All she did was pull a blanket over her. She had slept through her alarm clock and that rarely happened. The loud music of Harvey Danger’s Pandora radio’s blasted through the speakers of her iHome. It continued to blast for an hour waking up the jobless foster father. Andrew wouldn’t have it. He began to bang on the locked door and yelled at the top of his lungs. That woke up Cassadee. Hazy and apparently sleepy Cassadee was able to turn off the music. “Jesus fuckin’ Christ.” Cassadee groaned letting her head hit the pillow again. She could still hear Andrew cursing at her but she ignored him and when the yelling stopped she got off of her bed and began to look for her cellphone. She searched everywhere—nothing. She pursed her soft pink lips and turned on her laptop. Maybe Jimmy had seen it, she would IM him to… ’Oh, how lovely. Jimmy has my cellphone.’ She assumed by the nice black dialog box that had opened up. He would steal her cellphone. ‘When the fuck is 19:00?’ She never was one for military time. It just wasn’t her thing. Besides, she lived in America not England or something where they went by military time. She did know the trick though, she just subtracted 2 from 19 and got 17—meaning it was 7 pm. Well, she fucking hoped she was right, if she wasn’t she’d be a complete idiot showing up at his apartment at the wrong time. She quickly googled it just to make sure. Yeah, that was right. Wow, well then, maybe Cassadee wasn’t a complete idiot after all. After she got dressed in a different pair of jeans, a plain white t-shirt and her pair of low top black converse she walked downstairs. Andrew went back to bed but Alice had left the newspaper on the table. She found an article about Juan.Cassadee poured herself a glass of orange juice and began to sip it while reading over the article. She knew all the information in it except for the last line. Juan stabilized and his doctors are predicting a full recovery. Cassadee grinned at the black ink. It still could go either way, sometimes doctors were fucking completely wrong—but she had hope. She downed the last of her orange juice and looked at the time. It was two in the afternoon. She had obviously slept in. And now—she had five hours to waste. She got up from the table and placed her dirty cup in the sink running the water to fill it to the top. She’ll wash it later. What the hell was there to do? She was off from work for the rest of the week, she couldn’t go in… she didn’t want to spend money… she didn’t want to clean her room… She stared at her hands and saw her chipped nail polish. She began to remember how nervous she was last night/early in the morning. She took a deep breath and made her way to the bathroom and took out the nail polish remover and some cotton balls. She made her way back to her room.Closing the door she went into her desk and pulled out teal nail polish. She sat on her bed and removed the last of the chipping black nail polish. Her mind began to wander as she started to paint her nails. She started to think about school and how she missed it though would hate writing stupid essays. Maybe she could buy herself a few text books for the hell of it. She could be her own teacher, it wasn’t that bad. She did once want to teach grade school—if that’d happen she would have to be a good teacher…therefore she should teach herself. The thought was kind of amusing. She didn’t exactly have the time to teach herself. She had been so busy working and accumulating money that she had lost sight of what she actually liked to do. She loved to learn, she loved history of all subjects… She loved reading… she also loved stealing but maybe that was going to change now. She had… made a promise to a being may or may not exist. “Fuckin’ A.”She needed to let loose, it had been a while since she actually went partying, or clubbing for that matter. Tonight, after she got her cell phone from Jimmy she could go out to Sway, the bar Paul said he worked at. It wouldn’t be a big deal… fuck he offered! But who knew, maybe Jimmy would occupy her for more than just a cell phone pick up. That’d most likely happen, he was just so complicated…everything with him was complicated now. Sure before there was that underlining complication that came with liking him but now that Jimmy knew Cassadee liked him and he liked Cassadee back the two of them were having a complication party, so it seemed. Cassadee didn’t know whether or not she should act on her feelings, she didn’t want to frighten the boy off. That was the whole reason why she kept it inside of her before that kiss. That kiss, god. Cassadee tried to keep on telling herself it was only a kiss, only a kiss, but her heart wouldn’t have that. It obviously had meant something to her—and Jimmy had done it, but maybe he was just frightened of the thought of losing her to some other guy. ‘Wouldn’t that mean he likes me?’ Damn it even now it was confusing the younger red head. She pushed all the thoughts about Jimmy out of her head for the time being. They would rush to her once she saw him, and once she stared over his features such as his enticing sky blue eyes, kissable nose…even more kissable lips—Cassadee had finished one hand and went to work on the other switching her hands. When the deed of painting her nails was done she laid back down on her bed and stared at the ceiling. Her mind began to wander again. This time however it was over stupid shit that really didn’t hold significance in Cassadee’s life. It was good, it was something that didn’t matter, something that didn’t cause the girl to brood. She could deal with thinking about this stupidity forever if she could. She closed her eyes for a second and like clockwork her peacefulness was disrupted by the sound of Andrew’s god awful voice. “Cassadee, you’re almost twenty fucking years old. Clean up after yourself.” He said through the door, “And for the sake of God, do something with your time and stop sleeping!”Why did everyone think Cassadee did nothing with her time? She was really beginning to get pissed off with those fucking words. She was doing the best she could! “Fine.” She growled loud enough for the unemployed man to hear. She sat up and looked at her semi-dried fingernails. She then looked at her clock she had wasted an hour and a half painting her nails. She got up from her bed, walked out of her room and went downstairs to wash her fucking cup. She went back to her room and pulled her laptop to her and grabbed a random dvd from her book shelf/night stand. She was pleased to see that she had grabbed ‘The Godfather’ from her collection. She slipped the DVD into the drive and began to waste time watching one of her all-time favorite movies. She was kind of glad too—it was nearly three hours long, it was a perfect distraction of not only time but of her thoughts. She had the urge to name her unborn—not conceived yet son, Sonny… Actually that wouldn’t really happen. She was always fond of Alexander as her son’s name. She wasn’t sure why, she assumed it had something to do with Alexander the Great. And well… watching ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ made her kind of love the nickname Xander. Yeah…but it was mostly because of Alexander the Great. He was badass, too bad he died young. When one of the greatest movies ever made was over Cassadee took out the DVD placed it back into its case and closed her laptop. She grabbed her leather jacket from her desk chair and slipped it on. Her wallet was in one of the pockets of the jacket so she figured it’d be okay if she didn’t bring a bag with her. She stretched a bit and her stomach rumbled. She contemplated eating before she left but decided against it. She could grab a bite to eat with Jimmy or maybe raid his fridge. It all depended. She grabbed her iPod from the dock, plugged in her headphones and placed them in her ears before she walked out of her room closing the door on her way out. She walked down stairs and to the kitchen where Andrew was.She grabbed a bottle of water before she headed out to the front door. “Where are you going?” Andrew asked and the red head just shrugged her leather clad shoulders. “Tell me.” He demanded.“I’m going out. I don’t have to tell you where, as if you care.” Was what she said as she walked out of the red painted door. She heard Andrew calling after her but she didn’t listen, she just continued on her way to Jimmy’s.She turned on the music on her iPod and continued on her way to Jimmy’s apartment in Brooklyn. She had a few minutes to spare once she got there so she paced a bit. She wanted to do the Harvey Dent method to figure if this was some in and out situation or not. She took a deep breath and stood in front of the door. She took out a quarter and balanced it on her bent thumb.“Okay, heads—in and out… tails—spend some time.” She spoke to herself before flipping the coin. She caught it in the palm of her hand and closed her eyes. She never flipped the coin after it landed, she wasn’t entirely sure why. She opened one eye and saw the eagle. “Seems as if I’ll be spending time with Jimmy boy, as long as he lets me.” She murmured before knocking on door. She turned off the music playing and wrapped her headphones around the electronic device. She knocked on the door again. There she goes againRacing through my brainAnd I just can't containThis feeling that remainsJimmy could hardly sleep after he sent that message to Cassadee. Sure, she had come over to his small studio apartment countless times before and she was his best friend, but there was an added weight to the invitation after what had transpired between them the night before. He liked her, she liked him, why did it feel so much more complicated than that? ’Maybe because she deserves better than you could ever give her, Donovan,’ he chided himself mentally. He knew he would have to do something to redeem himself after the awful display of douchebaggery the previous night. He would not even be half surprised if she stopped by to retrieve her cellphone and immediately walked out of his life forever after having some time to think about the way he treated her. He was going to have to pull out the big guns on this one. He would prove to her that he was not just some scruffy nerdherder- or that he was trying not to be one at the very least. Being completely inexperienced when it came to wooing “normal” girls, Jimmy set to work on figuring out how he could show Cassadee how truly sorry he was for acting like a jerk and that he wanted to give any possibility of a romantic relationship a fighting chance. The problem with his inexperience and shortage of friends he could actually go to for advice about this sort of thing was that the internet was full of false information and suggestions that just seemed…questionable. One thing that kept cropping up was cooking a nice meal. Jimmy had never really cooked anything more complicated than hot pockets in the microwave. In the few years he had been living in New York City he had not used his stove a single time, though he did recall that the previous tenants had left some pots and pans behind when they moved out. But really- how hard could it be to cook a nice meal? Harder than it looked, apparently. Jimmy told himself that if the stove and oven had been electric rather than gas he would have had an easier time of it- but the truth of the matter was that the last time he had cooked on the stove he was nine and managed to botch simple macaroni and cheese. His Chicken Florentine never stood a chance. He was going to end up screwing this up like he screwed up everything else in his life. He had a little over an hour to figure out another meal and make himself look presentable. He rushed down the stairs to the Chinese restaurant on the first floor of his building and ordered some lo mein, fried rice, and general tso’s chicken. While waiting for the food, he caught sight of a flower vendor outside. He was already trying to win Cassadee over with greasy Chinese, flowers could only help. After the kindly old woman behind the counter handed him his bag of food, Jimmy ran across the street- nearly getting himself run over in the process- and bought a small bouquet of roses. Girls liked flowers, right? By the time he made it back up to his studio, it was 6:45 and he still looked like a slob. He did not own a suit- or tie for that matter- but Jimmy combed his dirty blonde hair to the best of his ability and put on a dark blue button down shirt that “brought out his eyes” as the girl at the store had told him at the time. By the time he had finished setting out the dinner, there came a knock at the door that sent Jimmy’s heart straight up into his throat. He ran his fingers through his hair one more time before grabbing the flowers and opening the door for Cassadee. ”I’msorryforbeinganidiothere’ssomeflowers,” he slurred into one sentence and shoving the roses toward the red head. The state of the studio behind him was still it’s usual chaotic mess of wires, fans, and computer monitors, but the big difference were the presence of dirty dishes as evidence of his attempts at cooking and a neatly laid out greasy Chinese dinner on the small round table near his kitchenette. THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT?Cassadee was introduced to a nice bouquet of roses when the door opened. It was safe to say that the girl was a bit shocked. “Whaa—” Without thinking she took the roses in her hands and stared at the beautiful flowers. She took a short sniff of them. A grin crept over her face as her shock ebbed away. They were so beautiful and so out of the blue. Out of habit the girl pressed a finger to one of the thorns. She never understood why she always did that but she had a fascination with how something so beautiful had a defense mechanism built into its beauty. Pulling her attention off the roses, Cassadee held them a little lower so she could see Jimmy better. It seemed as if the grin had doubled in sized. He was wearing a button down shirt that happened to be dark blue. Cassadee had never seen him wear something like it before. It was new, different, but she liked it. He had even combed his hair! Cassadee had the urge to run her hand through the dirty blonde hair to make it messier. Well, there would be room for that later on.She looked passed Jimmy to see dinner laid out on what she would call the dining table. It seemed to be Chinese. How funny, Cassadee questioned if Jimmy had a psychic ability because it seemed that way. Cassadee was hungry before she left and here was dinner laid out for the two of them. At this point, Cassadee wished she had a psychic ability, if she did she would’ve worn something nicer than jeans a t-shirt and a leather jacket. It seemed as she had walked into a date. She wasn’t complaining. Jimmy obviously put a lot of effort into the entire thing and Cass felt her stomach fill with the good type of butterflies. “Wow, Jimmy Donovan, you did all of this?” She questioned fighting a girly giggle from escaping her mouth. This was obviously all unexpected—she had assumed she was just picking up her cell phone… Then again he did set a time. That should’ve been a clue. It didn’t matter though, Cassadee was not a detective. She was just a girl whose heart was beating a little bit faster than it normally would. “If I didn’t know better, I’d think this was a date.” She teased but leaned in to kiss him on his cheek, “I love it all.”Cassadee pulled back and pursed her lips. What could she do with the roses? She quickly slipped away to Jimmy’s kitchenette. She suddenly noticed the dirty dishes. She couldn’t help but to grin again. He had tried to cook a meal from scratch! He truly did go all out.She placed the roses on the counter before she quickly made her way back to Jimmy to hug him this time. “I promise I won’t forget the roses,” she began as she hugged him tightly rubbing his back a little, “I just had the urge to hug you. What can I say, you’re a huggable guy.” She pulled away winking a little. She couldn’t really hold in her excitement and she felt very girly for doing so but Cassadee giggled and did a small jig in place. It’s been a while since felt like this. She was truly happy and then some. She could not describe the feeling very well but she enjoyed this feeling. It made all the doubt she had felt melt away. “I think you’re psychic,” she chuckled as she grabbed his hand and pulled him to the round table. “I was going to ask if you wanted to go out to eat—I didn’t really eat anything yet.”She smiled tilting her head to the side, “You’re really awesome, Jimmy. Thank you.” She stared at the Chinese food. Her stomach rumbled just staring at it all. General tso’s chicken happened to be Cassadee’s favorite Chinese America fast food dish. She took a seat at the table and waited for Jimmy to sit.Her mind was still reeling for all of this. Her mind had trouble wrapping around the idea it all. It wasn’t a bad thing, Jimmy had basically mind fucked Cassadee in the best way ever. Thinking about this entire scenario made Cassadee want to giggle and just giggle. With all of this going on, Cassadee had a feeling she was actually going to forget her cellphone; the reason she had come by in the first place.TAGGED FOR Jimmy / 753 WORDS / NOTES *dies of cuteness* / OUTFIT.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

There she goes againRacing through my brainAnd I just can't containThis feeling that remainsA blush crept across Jimmy’s nose as Cassadee accepted the flowers and seemed to approve of the lengths he had gone to for the surprise date. ”I know…pathetic, huh?” he smiled sheepishly. ”This may or may not be my first date…ever,” he confessed in a shy tone. All of the girls he had ever been with had not really been the “dating” type, preferring to “hook up” instead. He did not know very much about relationships or romance, but he did know that he wanted to do things right with the vivacious red head standing in his studio apartment. Jimmy hugged Cassadee back tightly and gave her a small kiss on her temple. ”I’m sorry about the mess…cooking is apparently harder than I thought,” he apologized and shifted his weight shyly. It was so unlike him to be this nervous around a woman- especially someone he was already so close to- but Jimmy wanted her to like him, even if she did already know most of his flaws already. If most other people were to enter Jimmy’s home they would think he was some sort of internet terrorist with severe mental illness, which was only partially true- though Jimmy never really considered the things he did with his powers as all out terrorism and while some people had suggested he might suffer from depression in the past he was far from a complete basket case. He hoped he was not a complete basket case at any rate. ”Be careful what you say, it might go straight to my head,” he teased as he sat down across from Cassadee. He liked that he could make her smile like this. He distributed the food, making an effort to give the young woman sitting across from him the best bits. That was how being romantic worked, wasn’t it? Jimmy had begun to eat his dinner before he remembered the entire basis of how he got Cassadee to come over in the first place. ”Oh! Your phone!” he jumped up excitedly. ”No offense or anything…but your phone had some issues,” he winced as he pulled the mobile device out of a drawer near his computer. ”So I hope you don’t mind that I fixed some stuff. You should have better reception and it should run faster now,” he added as he handed her back her phone. Usually when he would clean up or fix phones or computers for people, Jimmy would do a bit of harmless snooping out of curiosity or for minor blackmail, but now that their feelings for one another were out in the open, he had been conscientious of not reading her texts. The last thing the technopath wanted was to start getting jealous over something silly like text messages with an old boyfriend or some guy she just met. He had never been the jealous kind of person, much to the chagrin of pretty much every girl he had ever been involved with, but the thought of Cassadee having other admirers actually made Jimmy feel a bit uneasy. She probably had a throng of men who cared about her the same way he did, only they were better looking and not perpetual screw ups like himself. ”You look really nice,” Jimmy mumbled and offered up a shy smile. He hated to think how screwed he would have been if she had known this would be a date and dolled herself up. Pulsing through my veinsDESIGNED BY NODDING.ACQUAINTANCE OF CAUTION 2.0

THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT?First date ever? Cassadee felt her cheeks heat up. Yes, it was Cassadee’s first date too but she would never admit it. She had once told Jimmy that she had went out on dates with her first boyfriend… Of who didn’t entirely exist. Her first ‘boyfriend’ was just her date to her junior prom. Carl Fredrick was just some horny teenager who happened to get Cassadee all flustered on the inside—and because of that Cassadee thought he was so great and gave him what he wanted. Sure, she’ll never get that back but it happened. He had sucked, and only lasted about thirty seconds. He had no idea what the fuck he was doing and Cassadee regretted doing anything with the ass. It was the past though and she got over it. Then again there had been other guys in the past as well... She had needs, it really wasn't her fault, though she regretted that too even if it was far better than Carl's performance. There was no need to think about the rich playboy now though. Looking around she just chuckled. “Never apologize for a mess, you’ve seen my room. Besides, there’s a really sweet reason why there’s a mess.” Well, she couldn’t help it. She was just fucking flabbergasted with all of it. She was not sure what he was trying to cook but he didn’t have to go that far. She hoped he understood that he didn’t have to do all of this. Though, it was truly nice, Cassadee would not expect this all the time. She didn’t want this all the time. She wanted Jimmy Donovan, uncensored badass and all.She stared at the food and began to eat peacefully until Jimmy stood up quickly. Confused she dropped her fork and stared at him. It took her a second or two to understand what was going on. She just laughed, “Right. I probably was going to forget it.” Yeah, she knew she would’ve. “Remind me not to forget the flowers.” She mentioned before taking her iPhone. She was curious whether he had looked into anything. She trusted him though, he probably didn’t. Even if he did she had nothing to hide. It wasn’t like the girl sexted or anything. She was a simple girl who didn’t really get sexual unless given enough booze—or really in the moment. “Thanks for making it run better, you know how it is with iPhones, they’re full of bugs and shit.” She rolled her eyes. Everything had something wrong with it, she had never come in contact with one thing that was flawless and perfect—and frankly she was glad. Perfection itself was flawed and she was sure if she did find something flawless she would be a little… freaked out. He went back to eating trying her best to eat like a lady. She really just wanted to scarf down the food since she hadn’t ate anything but she controlled herself, surprisingly. She ate quickly and quietly. She was in mid chew when he complimented her. She finished chewing and looked at his smile. “Thank you,” she couldn’t help but to laugh. This sure was a side of Jimmy she had yet to see. It amused her. Why would he be so shy around her? Maybe it was the fact that this was a new playing ground for both of them. Cassadee liked to think that nothing changed between them. They were still best friends but had this added idea about them. The idea was the idea of kissing and hugging more often, possibly some sexy time things as well but Cassadee wasn’t sure how Jimmy felt about said sexy time things. She assumed he wouldn’t want to rush anything. His ‘relationships’ consisted of one night stands… chains, basements, and bruises. He probably wanted something better.“You know, you don’t have to be tense. Nothing really has changed.” She told him, “We’re best friends still but there are sexy undertones to it all now.” She smirked before taking a sip of her drink. She went back to eating before she thought about asking him about his wounds. “Are you feeling any better? I could heal you some more, if you’d like.” She hated the idea of her best friend hurting. She had the power to fix that and by god she would. She cared about the guy, it was pretty obvious by now.TAGGED FOR Jimmy / 690 WORDS / NOTES / OUTFIT.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

There she goes againRacing through my brainAnd I just can't containThis feeling that remainsIt was true, Jimmy had seen Cassadee’s bedroom, albeit very briefly since her foster parents set his teeth on edge and he had been careful to not get his friend in trouble with the problematic Mr. DeAmico over having some hoodlum hanging out in her bedroom. He had only met the man once, very briefly, and knew that he was no good. In a lot of ways, Cassadee’s foster father reminded him a lot of his own deadbeat dad. ”I suppose it wouldn’t be possible for me to turn into a total prince charming overnight,” he chuckled and scratched the back of his head sheepishly. He would never be a “neat and tidy” kind of person, his desk at work at the beast in the basement being littered with beer cans, candy wrappers, and various fast food wrappers attested to that much. His home was cleaner in the sense that he actually threw trash away, but his computer set up made his small living space look like a jungle of wires, monitors, tubes, and fans. ”Well if you forget anything I’ll just use it as an excuse to get you back over here again sooner rather than later,” Jimmy smiled. He was certainly an interesting sight to behold, with his wild dirty blonde hair semi-tame for once, the black eye he scored from fight club, the cut on his bottom lip that stung every time he smiled, and the neat and clean button down shirt. He actually dreaded going in to work the following day because of all the comments the other heroes would make about the state of his face. No one seemed to understand why he enjoyed getting into fights all the time- why he needed that release. ”Yeah, sometimes I think I should be using my powers to make better electronics or something. You know…something I could actually make good money doing,” he sighed. Being a superhero was great in a lot of ways, he was supposedly making a difference in the world, though he was usually kept at headquarters and hooked up to the beast. Besides, running a company would mean that he would have to wear suits and ties everyday and play nice with investors, and that was far from Jimmy’s scene. He would probably screw that enterprise up pretty quickly. Jimmy had no idea why he was acting like so awkward around the red head. She was still his best friend, she still new more of his dark secrets than anyone else, he still knew things about her that most other people did not know about either. He supposed it was his own low self image that caused his anxiety. It was much more comfortable to let loose around her when she was completely out of his league and not interested, but now that he knew she was interested- he wanted to make himself better for her. It was taking just about all of his willpower not to rip her clothes off with his teeth like he had been thinking about all day. He needed to do this right, he needed to take things slow. She was not like all of the other girls, Cassadee Skylar was a lady. His face fell slightly when Cassadee said that they were still friends only with an added sexy undertone to their relationship. Did that mean that she just wanted to be friends with benefits? Of course that would be all she wanted from him, how could he have been so stupid? Girls like Cassadee Skylar did not pursue serious relationships with guys like Jimmy Donovan. ”Ah…I see. Just friends…being sexy? I can uh…I can do that I guess,” he stammered. He felt embarrassed, of course they were just friends and nothing had really changed. He was Jimmy freaking Donovan, this was how all of his relationships with non-related women went. When she asked about his wounds he shrugged his shoulders. ”I’m just about as sore as I always am the day after a fight,” he replied. ’That’s right, tough guy, don’t act like your ribs are killing you right now,’ he chided himself mentally. ”But uh…if you wanted to give my ribs the once over that would be nice,” he muttered into his drink."So uh...what are you up to tonight?" he asked curiously. He did not want to be some weird clingy freak, but Jimmy did want to spend as much time with Cassadee as she would allow him to. Before he had admitted his feelings for her, he would not have felt so pathetic about wanting to spend so much time with the red head, but now he was super sensitive about everything he did. THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT?“Hey, helping people is better than just bettering electronics.” Cassadee said after taking a sip of her drink. “I could always become a cosmic taxi, take people all over the world for a charge but do I? Nope. I don’t like the idea of commercializing on an ability, seems lazy to me. Then again, who the fuck knows maybe Steve Jobs was a tecnopath.” The idea kind of made her chuckle. It could be considered a conspiracy theory—there were a lot of supers out there. There was no doubt in the girl’s mind that someone who held importance in the world was a super. She could have sworn the President of the United States himself had the power of persuasion. It would be argued that one must have that power to win over the support but hey it didn’t matter much. Cassadee was not in her AP Government class anymore. She stared Jimmy down. Her hair was far too neat for her liking, but his shirt was nice. It was different from his usual long sleeve shirt with a t-shirt over it. The navy blue really brought out his eyes. “Did I mention you look nice? You may want to,” She brought her own hand up to her messy red hair and messed it up some more giving him a hint to do the same to his hair. “Your hair looks better messy.” She flashed him a quick grin before stabbing a piece of chicken with her fork and bringing it up to her lips.Cassadee face palmed when she saw Jimmy’s face fall. She should really word things correctly. Obviously what she meant was lost in translation. “No, no, no, no, no… no. Holy fuck I am such an idiot. I didn’t mean it like that.” Maybe she would have to be like Jimmy and more timid with all of this. If she was timid like him she would not have said something that sounded like friends with benefits. “Fuckin’ A, Jimmy. I didn’t mean it like that.” She repeated herself feeling her face heat up completely at her own stupidity. Her right hand inched to her left and her nail began to try to chip her freshly painted nail polish. She had a lot of trouble believing her stupidity. Well, actually… she knew she did stupid things all the time—call it a form of rebellion or a personality trait but she liked being reckless—but when it came to Jimmy… she didn’t want to be reckless and apparently the words she had uttered were recklessly confusing. “What I meant was...” She took a deep breath and pursed her lips before she continued. “I want a relationship, but it doesn’t have to be a stuffy relationship filled with gifts, expensive dates, and other stupid shit that obviously you and I are not into. I dunno, I guess what I’m trying to say is that… it’d be a serious relationship but our form of a serious relationship.” She said, “Does that make sense?” She winced at her own words before hanging her head to stare at her plate. She began to play with her food. She moved her chicken around her plate like it was some train. The rice were now built into mountains and the lo mein noodles became the tracks all in a quick minute. She couldn’t help but to continue to brood on how stupid she was. She took a deep breath breaking a ‘cart’ off her train dipping it into one of the rice mountains and bringing it to her mouth to meet its maker. She took her time chewing this piece. It was not for the sake of savoring the flavor. It was more of the idea of keeping her thoughts at bay. If she kept her thoughts at bay clearly thinking before she acted. “When we’re done with dinner I’ll bring you over to the bed and heal you.” She said after she finished the piece of chicken she had in her mouth. She went back to playing with her food. It’d be easier to heal him while he was lying down. It helped with the healing process, somehow. His words brought her out of her mind. What was she planning on doing tonight? She thought about going to Sway but now that this was a date Cassadee could just hang out with Jimmy. She had no idea what he wanted to do though. She just shrugged her shoulders. “Do you wanna do something tonight?” What could the two of them do? They could stay at Jimmy’s, they could go out to drink, they could do something stupid, they could go looking for trouble…the list went on and on. Cassadee figured as long as they were together they could do almost anything and still have some fun. There she goes againRacing through my brainAnd I just can't containThis feeling that remains”With an attitude like that it’s a wonder that you aren’t in the Legends and I am,” Jimmy chuckled. He had always considered Cassadee to be a much better person than he was. One of tech guys he worked with in the basement of the government offices had described the super as being ‘chaotic good’, whatever that meant. Jimmy had never played dungeons and dragons, nor had the desire to start up- citing “being too busy having sex with girls” as the reason he always turned down the offers from his co-workers in the IT department. ”I dunno…maybe I could make more of a difference creating new technology for the people rather than working for the man,” he shrugged his shoulders. Not that he would ever have the guts to go out and do anything on his own like that. There was too much risk of actually succeeding at something and perpetual failure was so much more comfortable for Jimmy.”Oh it does, does it?” he smirked, bringing his rough and calloused hands up to his head and ruffling his dirty blonde hair a bit. ”I’ve been told that I should make more of an effort. Apparently hoodies and old shirts make me look like a bum,” he rolled his light blue eyes cynically. All of the other supers, especially the other members of the Legends team, seemed to have nicer supersuits than his, but Jimmy had always found anonymity and comfort to be more important than looking cool- not that he spent much time out on the field since his powers were best used remotely. ”Though I don’t think I could make this an everyday thing, gotta keep you on your toes,” he winked. He was not sure what was worse- being just a fuck buddy to Cassadee or attempting a serious relationship with someone he felt was too good for him to begin with. ”You want a serious relationship with me? Like…being my girlfriend?” he asked, a small quiver in his voice that teetered the fine line between excitement and outright panic. He smiled brightly and leaned over the small table to give her a kiss. ”A girlfriend who doesn’t expect lots of gifts and fancy things I know nothing about…” he thought aloud with a sigh. He had never even had a proper girlfriend before and he was used to women expecting a lot more from him than he was ever able to provide. ”Well that makes things a hell of a lot easier,” he grinned. Things had fallen into more comfortable territory and then Cassadee mentioned having him lie down on the bed for her to heal him. They had done that numerous times before, but things were different now. He would actually have to use his incredibly weak willpower to continue with his plan to take things slow with her. ”Right…the bed,” he squeaked, stealing a side glance at the mattress he kept in the corner of the studio. He was doing such a great job of being a gentleman thus far, what was to say he could not keep it up for the rest of the night? He shoveled the rest of his food into his mouth in an attempt to buy himself time to get his mind straight. ’You’ve done this a million times before with her and nothing happened then, you can keep it in your pants at least one more time,’ he practically chanted to himself mentally. He stood up and took the five steps to his old mattress and took a seat. ”Ready whenever you are, Cass,” he nodded seriously. When she asked if he wanted to do anything tonight Jimmy perked up. She actually wanted to spend time with him? Of course she did- they were still Jimmy and Cassadee, only their relationship had been taken to another level. ”We could hit up a bar and see how much free stuff we can get,” he suggested with a mischievous twinkle in his eye and a devil-may-care smile. One time he managed to convince people he worked at the bar and actually made money from tips, securing his victory over that particular game with Dylan. THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT?There was no arguing with Jimmy’s logic. If he created a device to keep someone alive then obviously that would not only be using his powers for good but well… obviously it would’ve helped the person who was going to die. It wouldn’t stop an evil technokentic asshole from killing said person by fucking up their device. Cassadee just shrugged her shoulders. “I guess you’re right, sometimes the man blows…” She was never into conspiracy theories and maybe she was a little naïve when it came to the government but she like the thought of it protecting the kind citizens of America made her feel like she had a purpose in her life. Oh yeah, Cassadee was definitely naïve at times. A chuckle erupted passed her lips when Jimmy messed up his own hair. “Whoever told you to make more of an effort is an idiot. I wasn’t aware looking badass made you a bum. Comfort over whatever the fuck the other word is.” She gave him a goofy smile before beaming at the guy in front of her. She really liked him, and probably always will—unless he did something completely shitty to her…then again she probably would still forgive him. It was complicated. Or maybe Cassadee didn’t want to think about it too much. “I wouldn’t want it to be an everyday thing. I like you just the way you are.” she sung a few lines from that Bruno Mars song and once again shot him a goofy smile. She wasn’t a fan of the man but the store she worked in played the track almost every time she had a shift. It was pretty bad—but that was how she knew the lyrics to some songs she didn’t like. She wished she worked a better clothing store… not annoying-teenage-girl-central. She was a little confused on why Jimmy was so surprised to learn that she wanted to be his girlfriend. Was it so hard to believe that she wanted him? Was it pathetic that she wanted him? Well she hoped it wasn’t because that’s what she wanted—and she’d hate to think of herself as pathetic (though really she hit that description a lot…it just depended on the day). She felt her face heat up at his kiss and she beamed afterwards. It seemed all shame she had for fucking up her words earlier melted away with the simple pressing of his lips upon hers. “I’m not some high maintenance bitch; I’m pretty easy to please.” She winked with a smirk on her face. Cassadee blinked a little and then laughed shortly. “Yes, the bed.” She mocked his squeak. “If you’re afraid that I’ll jump your bones—I’ll try my best to control myself, Jimmy.” Her tone was light hearted but… her words were pretty sincere. She may have had the idea of feeling him up while healing him in her mind when she mentioned the bed. The bed now seemed to mean a different thing now that their feelings for each other were out in the open. Although she had healed him on his bed countless times before, now it was some new territory that seemed a little taboo, for now—at least. Then again, Cassadee was pretty recklessly stupid, who knew what she would do. She downed her glass and stood up once Jimmy sat down. She cleared her throat and made her way to his bed. The red head raised an eyebrow. “Lie down,” She told him pushing his shoulders somewhat hard so he was now lying on his back. “Oh I’m sorry, I’m being a little aggressive… It’s because I’ve got all this sexual tension and I can’t release it because you’re afraid I’ll jump your bones.” She snickered a little. Her hands moved from her shoulders to his collar bone down to his ribs. She could have easily taken her hands off of him and placed them on his ribs but this was much more fun. It amused her. It was Jimmy’s fault, Cassadee was going to bust his chops now because he had shown what she thought was a little discomfort when he had squeaked before. She took a deep breath focusing her mind on healing and her hands began to feel warm. Then came the blue color of her healing power. She closed her eyes focusing all her energy to healing the broken ribs he had. When she was nearly positive his ribs were healed she sat on the edge of her bed and brought a hand up his to his busted lip. She smiled down at him and ran her glowing thumb over the gash a few times until it seemed to disappear like it just a dirty spot. “All better, and yeah… maybe I can get the bartender to believe I’m a waitress again.” She smirked. It was always fun getting free things. She pulled her hand away from his face and rubbed his arm a little. She never really understood something. He always wore long sleeve shirts. He wore them to hide the marks he received when he was electrocuted but it wasn’t hideous to her. She grazed her nails over the skin through the fabric of his shirt and sighed. “Why don’t you like your markings?” She never really got to see them, but they were lovely in their own special way. He probably disliked it because he wasn’t fond of lightening…but it was how he got his powers. She thought about moving but she’d wait till he sat up to pull away from running her hand along his arm over and over again. TAGGED FOR Jimmy / 937 WORDS / NOTES / OUTFIT.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

There she goes againRacing through my brainAnd I just can't containThis feeling that remainsSo he had a girlfriend now…Jimmy had never really had a girlfriend before and the prospect of being in an actual committed relationship excited and terrified him all at the same time. ”I’ve never been anyone’s boyfriend before, so it’s probably a good thing you’re easy going- otherwise I might disappoint you,” he wrinkled his nose. Referring to himself as anyone’s boyfriend- even Cassadee’s- felt strange, but good. He had done a pretty bang up job of being her best friend, a boyfriend was pretty much a best friend with sex wasn’t it? Jimmy was fairly sure he could handle that. ”Hey, I’m pretty sexy and quite vulnerable!” he raised his hands in mock surrender. ”If I were you I’m not so sure I could control myself,” he added with a chuckle. He had imagined a similar scenario countless times before, though when the possibility of hooking up with the red head became a very real thing it seemed like such a scary proposition. She would probably want him to take off his shirt and even though Cassadee had seen the scars on Jimmy’s arms once or twice before but only for fleeting moments, he was still quite hesitant to show them off to her anytime soon. When she pushed him onto his back, Jimmy let out a small ’oof’ and pouted. ”Hey, I’m trying to be a gentleman and do things right. You keep talking trash like this and I might have to teach you a lesson,” he teased, though it was quite true- he was only flesh and blood after all.Whenever she healed his broken or cracked bones it was always an interesting sensation. It was neither painful nor pleasant, but it certainly beat the alternative of healing like an average schmuck on the street. He had not expected her to heal his split lip as well, but he had also forgotten about that particular injury. His face was broken and bruised so often anymore that he actually felt strange without the tightness in his bottom lip or swelling in his face. ”You’re too good at flirting with the guys at the bar. I might get jealous,” Jimmy laughed and sat up. ”Not that I didn’t always get a little jealous when you’d pretend to be a waitress and flirt with guys to get tips,” he added with a shrug. He did not really have any room to talk- Jimmy usually managed to win the game by flirting with as many bachelorette parties and sorority sisters as he possibly could. Jimmy was confused for a moment when Cassadee asked him why he did not like his markings. No one really mentioned his scars, then again- he was sure most people had no idea they even existed. He pulled away slightly and cross his arms over his chest defensively. ”People stare and ask questions. I don’t really like to think about the accident or school or what ‘could have been’,” he replied tersely, hooking his fingers into air quotes. He had not returned home and rarely spoke to any of his family with the exception of letters and occasional phone calls from his incarcerated nephew, Mikey. Home just reminded him that he was on a completely different path than he had originally set out for and until recently it had not been going very well. To Jimmy, his accident just proved that there was really no “potential” for him to live up to because he was destined to fail at everything he tried. ”I dunno…almost everyone else I’ve met was born with their powers, I suppose it’s hard for people to understand what it’s like to just have your computer start talking to you one day,” he sighed and relaxed a little. He had always been good with computers and possessed a certain “understanding” of technology, but talking to computers as if they were people had taken a little getting used to. Sometimes he forgot that no one else could hear them like he could and Jimmy had been on the receiving end of more than a few strange looks while out in public. ”I- Do you want to see them? My marks?” he asked with a small wince. He worried that she would be repulsed by the tree-like markings that covered his arms, but if he could really show them to anyone it would be Cassadee.Pulsing through my veinsDESIGNED BY NODDING.ACQUAINTANCE OF CAUTION 2.0

THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT? “Teach me a lesson?” Cassadee questioned with a chuckle. The proposition of it all was kind of hysterical in her mind. She knew what he had meant but decided to take it in another way. “You know what…you could, I suck at math.” She stuck out her tongue at the young man lying down. She thought it would’ve been best if she calmed down her slight urges for a bit and when he sat up she took that as a sign and stopped all together. All Cassadee did was sit down beside her best friend…boyfriend. ‘Holy fucking hell,’ her voice in her head was filled with shock. ‘James Patrick Donovan is my boyfriend. I have a boyfriend—it’s Jimmy. Holy Hell, Jimmy’s my boyfriend. Fuckin A.’ She had no idea why it was so hard to grasp onto that concept but she assumed it had something to do with the fact that it was all new. New material, new situations, new conflicts…Normally the girl hated change. She assumed that was half the reason why she was nearly twenty and still living with her foster parents. That’s why she didn’t steal from banks, she was just too afraid of what would happen to her when she left the shitty familiarity of that house. Apparently not only did Cassadee suffer from a case of pyrophobia but she was also afraid of change. Maybe… It didn’t make too much sense because she was welcoming the prospect of having Jimmy as a boyfriend. Was it the fact that in her mind she already figured Jimmy to be close enough to be her boyfriend? ‘Nah, that’s creepy.’ She answered her own thought, ‘It may be the fact that not much has changed… except now I’m allowed to get jealous-er over shit.’ She nodded inwardly.“Oh pulease!” Cassadee rolled her grey blue eyes. “Flirting with nearly middle aged men and stupid ugly twenty somethings shouldn’t make you jealous—not even a little. You go after the pretty hot sorority bitches and those bridal party shit.” She shook her head. “If anyone should get a little jealous it should be me.” Her hand reached up and played with Jimmy’s dirty blond hair for a few seconds before she tugged on it briefly. She let her hand drop to her lap.She began to play with her hands. She was really just twiddling her thumbs listening to what he had said. It seemed his entire demeanor had turned on a dime when she had mentioned his electrical scars. She couldn’t help but to frown at the crossing at his arms. She hadn’t meant to offend him in any way—she was just curious. “Only stupid people ask stupid questions.” She said staring at him at the corner of her eyes. The redhead took a deep breath and pulled him closer to her in a warm tender hug. “I don’t blame you. I hate thinking how things could’ve been if the Jenkins did not die in the fire twelve years ago.” When she did think about it (mostly in the past when she was in high school) she would go through “emo” spells as she called them. The brooding got so bad at points that she hated, completely loathed, herself. She would’ve died along with them If she didn’t have powers. “What ifs suck.” She murmured rubbing his back lovingly. When she pulled away she offered him a hopeful small half smile. “Over the years I decided to believe in that fucking cliché line: ‘everything happens for a reason.’ I feel it makes it easier to cope with it all.” She felt like she was horrible at consoling. She never had to do it before for the only person she needed to console was herself—even then she just ended up punching and kicking shit. She wasn’t even sure at this point whether Jimmy wanted to hear her words or not. Fall all she knew he was thinking about how stupid she was and she knew that Jimmy didn’t like stupid people—or at least the people he found stupid. He was a really smart guy and probably heard her words so many times before. Yet she went on, “Maybe you had a set plan… and it was all supposed to happen” She winced at her words, “You never know and you honestly may never find out. It’s one of those big huge questions of ultimate meaning: ‘why am I here?’ All I know is that I have no idea why I’m here… probably just to look pretty and bust shit up.” She shook her head and laughed. Well that’s what she though, people went on live journeys to find out why there were put on earth and well she just didn’t have the time to ‘find herself.’It wasn’t fun thinking about Ultimate life questions—especially when one isn’t entirely religious. If Cassadee was religious she wouldn’t know that she was one of God’s children and put on earth to do good deeds and ultimately go to heaven—that was only if she went by her catholic upbringing. She lost faith in god but found faith in others and in the universe. She thought it was better than worshiping a single entity and blaming shit on him when things went awry. She blinked as his voice pulled her out of her thoughts. She thought she had heard wrong. Was he really offering to show her his marks? She tried to think of a way to say it that didn’t make it seem like she was begging to see them or something but decided to be as forward as possible. That way he wouldn’t take it the wrong way if she played the game and beat around the bush. “Yes, please.” She nodded. She inhaled deeply and turned to him. She tucked her legs under her so she was sitting Indian style on his mattress. She tried her best to wait patiently to see the tree like marks in better detail. She was rather excited and had to stop herself from taking a peak. “Then we can head to the bar.” She nodded basically telling him he didn’t have to show her for too long if he did not want to. There she goes againRacing through my brainAnd I just can't containThis feeling that remains”Haha, funny!” Jimmy teased and rolled his pale blue eyes playfully. The funny thing was, Jimmy Donovan was actually really good at math. If Cassadee ever went back to school he could easily help her out with math, science, hell- pretty much anything except for art. That had actually been the one subject in school he was never very good at. He had always wondered if he should just use his powers to register her for classes. She would never have to pay a dime for her education. Then again, Cass was too proud to accept his help like that, though maybe now that they were together he could talk her into it. Some other time though, when things were a little less raw. Then it hit him like a ton of bricks. ’Cassadee Skylar is my girlfriend. I have a girlfriend.’ He had never considered himself the monogamous type, though the red head sitting beside him was the only person Jimmy could imagine wanting to be with at the moment. Dylan would give him such a hard time about it when he found out. Jimmy’s closest male friend had been harassing him about “not tapping that” for quite some time now, and he dreaded the teasing he would get when Force Flux discovered that Jimmy and Cass were together now and taking things slow- or at least Jimmy was trying to take things slow. ”Hey! I happen to be one of those ugly twenty somethings!” Jimmy replied incredulously. ”Besides, You’re way prettier than any of those other girls I flirt with. Pinky promise,” he added and leaned into her touch. He liked having his hair tugged, though Jimmy was unsure what that said about the kind of person he was. Sure, he had gone out with some women who took things too far, but hair pulling was nice. He offered her a shy smile when she pointed out that only stupid people ask stupid questions. Unfortunately, Jimmy thought that most people were stupid. He ran his fingers through her long red hair as she held him close. He let out an indignant snort. ’Everything happens for a reason- right.’. ”I dunno…I guess I’m better off now. If I hadn’t had my accident I would have graduated college, done well for a few years, and then worked for the government- though not on my own terms like I am now,” he shrugged his shoulders. ’Not to mention that when Mikey got out of prison he’d talk me into one of his schemes…’ he thought to himself. He never really talked about his delinquent nephew with anyone, and no one knew the full extent of trouble Mikey had dragged Jimmy into in the past. For all he knew, his best friend from childhood would find him after he got out of prison and drag him down all over again. He smiled at Cassadee sadly. He hoped that maybe she would be enough to keep him on the right path, though that was asking a lot of her. ”Well…I do like busting shit up,” he chuckled.Jimmy nodded his head and unbuttoned his shirt enough to pull it over his head easily. He did not have a particularly muscular build, but he was thick and his arms were strong from all of the fights he got himself into. From his clavicle all the way down to his wrists was a web of light brown branch-like scars from when he had been electrocuted a few years back in the lab he was working in. ”I think they’ve gotten darker over the years,” Jimmy grimaced. After the accident the marks had been an angry bright red color, but as he healed they turned white. He was unsure if using his powers made them stand out more, of if that was just the way the scars were, either way he hated them. THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT? “Trust me, you’re not one of those ugly twenty somethings.” She shook her head with a smile on her face. “I think you’re quite an attractive one, Jimmy Donovan.” Something about him was different that the regular ‘hansom’ types. He was raw, real, refreshing. Cassadee liked that better than the fake hansom she would see on the TV screen or even at the movies. She couldn’t help but to chuckle a little at his promise. “And I promise that you’re way more attractive than those who I flirt with.”Cassadee nodded when Jimmy figured he was better off. “You just gotta make the best of it.” The redhead sighed. “I think you’re doing pretty fucking well now.” She grinned, “You’re actually receiving pay checks… you still fight. You’re still the same ol’ Jimmy yet improved in areas which add to the awesomeness that is you.” Cassadee lifted and finger and poked Jimmy’s nose. “And trust me, if you start to divert from the path of awesome… I will knock some sense into you. And yes… I may have to end up busting you up.” She stuck out her tongue in a playful gesture before her fist moved to press against the young man’s jaw. “Okay?” Sure, she was being optimistic and a little bubbly but she figured it’d be better to be this way then to be broody right now. When Jimmy began to unbutton his shirt her playful demeanor dropped. It was inevitable. A cloud of seriousness had hovered over the two of them. Cass bit her lip a little anxious when Jimmy pulled off his button down shirt. Then her eyes landed on his bare arms. Her lips parted in awe. It was her ignorance thinking how beautiful they looked. They seemed painted, starting from his collarbone and ending at his wrists. “I like them.” She said boldly running a hand down his arm once before she took her pointer finger and began to trace the scars. She did a few times before she decided it was better to stop—she hadn’t entirely asked permission to touch Jimmy…and it was kind of rude to just burst his personal bubble like that. Although, she had burst his bubble quite a few times in the past. It was different this time, Jimmy didn’t like the tree like scars. “Gee,” Cassadee sighed before bringing a hand to the back of her head. She scratched her scalp a little out of some awkwardness she was beginning to feel. Sadness began to settle in. It was more because of the fact that Jimmy hated his scars. She assumed it was because he believed that they were ugly, and because he resented the accident that had given him his powers. Cassadee didn’t know what Jimmy was feeling, and she believed she probably would never know. He was a guy, they were usually reserved and quite about matters of emotions. Because she did not know how he was feeling all she could was assume (making an ass out of her and Jimmy at this point). Maybe he felt out of place because the accident granted him powers. He wasn’t born with them, he was a half super. She wondered if he ever felt alone when he thought about how his powers came to be. She gave him an abrupt hug holding him tightly against her. “Thank you for showing me them,” she kissed the side of his face before closing her eyes.TAGGED FOR Jimmy / decent amount of WORDS / NOTES / OUTFIT.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0

There she goes againRacing through my brainAnd I just can't containThis feeling that remainsJimmy knew that women found him attractive, and he supposed it had more to do with the confident way he carried himself and his bad boy attitude more than being traditionally attractive. Though he had always been told he had a nice smile and beautiful eyes. Despite this, it would be hard to convince him that people would not wonder what a girl like Cassadee Skylar was doing with a guy like Jimmy Donovan. ”As long as you promise I’m more attractive than they are then we’re okay,” he sighed melodramatically and offered her a lopsided grin.”Looks like we have a badass over here,” he teased the redhead sitting beside him and raised his hands in feign surrender. ”I don’t think you have to worry about me straying from the path of righteousness for at least a few years,” he nodded solemnly. If Mikey served his full prison sentence- and why should he not?- it would be another three years before Jimmy’s former partner in crime inevitably tracked him down and tried to use his powers for evil. Hopefully Cass would still be around to keep him on the straight and narrow. Jimmy knew his colleagues in the Legends might try to help at first if anything cropped up, but they just did not seem to understand him like Cassadee did. He kissed her gently on the cheek. There was no way she could know just how much she had saved him from himself since moving to New York City. He would probably be in jail or dead if he had not met someone as kind and honest and brilliant as her.He shivered slightly when she traced the dark branch-like scars with her fingers. ”Really? You don’t think they’re ugly?” he asked, his eyebrows arching up in surprise. Sure, the few other people who had ever seen his scars were bordering on psychotic, but those women had always told him how disgusting his arms were because of the scarring. Then again, none of them had ever asked him about how he got them- they never even asked him to take his shirt off in the first place. He wrapped his strong arms around Cassadee tightly and kissed her softly on the lips. ”Thank you for being…well…for being you,” he smiled and rested his forehead against hers. So here he was- shirtless and sitting next to a beautiful woman in his bed. In any other circumstance Jimmy would have been excited, but at the moment all he wanted to do was run away. He could not mess things up with Cass. They were going to take things slow, because this was supposed to be a “for real” relationship- whatever that meant. He slipped his shirt back on over his head and buttoned the top few buttons again. ”So are we going to show this town what we’re made of or what?” he asked with a cheeky grin.[OOC: cray cray work schedule has calmed down a bit. THEY SAY THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIPSO WHEN THE WORLD ENDS WILL GOD GO DOWN WITH IT?Cassadee thought back to when she made sure she did not come in contact with Jimmy. It was right after he had joined the legends. She really had no idea what she did with her time. She had become a hermit for that period. She did things by herself and began to reflect on her life without Jimmy. She had only come to one conclusion; it completely and utterly sucked. She wasn’t even sure how she did it for so long, and it made sense that she seemed to forgive him right when the hung out last night. Jimmy made her happier; he made her feel as if she belonged. Everything was easy going with the guy, and although they’d probably hit some bumpy roads in the future she had no doubt in her mind that nothing could destroy their friendship.Nothing. No hurtful words. No hurtful actions. No one could come between the two of them. Nothing and no one. It was that simple. At least, that’s what the hardheaded redhead believed now that she stared into her best friend’s, no, her boyfriend’s eyes. He had just kissed her softly and she returned the short and sweet kiss. She felt her cheeks grow hot at his words as a large smile plastered itself on her face. Cassadee gave Jimmy am Eskimo kiss and happened to giggle softly in their close proximity. “I don’t think anything about you is ugly, Jimmy. I never will.” Sincerity laced itself within her words as they fell from her mouth. As the words entered her own ears and bounced around her head she realized how intense the words sounded and she found herself wanting to just pull back and take a deep breath. She had to stop herself from saying things like that. Things like that made people run away, and she did not want Jimmy to feel the need to run.Her smile weakened a little when she unwrapped her arms from his body and pulled away from his tight hug. While watching him pull his shirt back on she tried to battle the doubt that was flooding into her mind. She had never been in a goddamn relationship before and she knew she was going end up fucking this up somehow. Maybe they were better off as just friends…’No, Cassadee… you better fucking listen to me. Calm the hell down and stop thinking so goddamn pessimistically! You won’t do anything stupid to fuck this up.’She sure as hell hoped that the voice in the back of her head was right. Standing up at Jimmy’s words she stretched a little. A hand grabbed onto his and she pulled him up. “Oh you fucking know it!” she grinned feeling happiness flow back into her system. “Where do you feel like going? Oh… um my flowers!” she pulled him over to the counter where she had placed them. She pursed her lips together and tilted her head upward to stare at the ceiling. “Eh I can always pick them up after our shenanigans.” She turned her head to Jimmy nodding as if to finalize the thought.Moving to the door she pulled Jimmy along before releasing his hand. Turning around to face him she placed her lips on his cheeks and gave him a kiss. When pulling away she eyed the table of food that was left out. She couldn’t help but to laugh. “Okay, you think about which bar we’re plunder first and I’ll clean up—and don’t give me that ‘no, I’ll clean up, Cassadee’ idiocy because… I want to clean, so there.” She stuck out her tongue and walked passed him and began to clean up the Chinese food. TAGGED FOR Jimmy / decent amount of WORDS / NOTES finally... I am so sorry it took over a month to get this out! / OUTFIT.NICK @ ATF & CAUTION 2.0
