Soon the skies will clearThe rain murmurs softlyas it soaks the earth.Lured into a deep slumberI dreamt of life—a dream I never woke from. The break of dawn pulls on my handtaking with it all my memories. We all speak of love, leaving behindtales of our struggles, in hopes to be remembered.Never forgotten. Times Square was a big place full of a lot of people. The sounds and lights were stunning and deranged; forcing her breath and heart to quiver. She was lost. Lost. Lost. Lost.Rosie often went to Central Park during the day so she would not disturb anyone. Lately she'd been getting the feeling that she was in the way more often than she was helping. Her powers were handy and strong, but she couldn't do things when they asked her to. She would just get confused and often cry. She didn't like that was cried so much now; she thought that would have stopped once she left the Monsters from her previous life. Before Legends and Angels.Yes, she often spent her days at the park for the sanity of the other Legends. She knew that she was a burden. That when they talked she would often get lost at sea and they would have to swim out to get her. She'd been comforted that she wasn't that much of a problem, but she knew better. There was something wrong with her brain.Usually the walk to the park wasn't this crowded. She never took any transport; she'd lose her way. She knew the path to the park, at least she thought she did.Now people were pushing past her, stepping on the hem of her long grey dress and grumbling at her. Rosie looked about, but she was too small to see over the forest of people. She wanted to cry. The girl couldn't do anything but keep moving through the crowds of people, hoping that she would come across the park. Where was the park? How long had she been walking? She wasn't sure. She was never sure of anything. For the briefest moment her feet left the ground. Rosie was going to float away from the crowd and find the park herself. But as soon as her feet left the ground she remembered what she'd been told by one of the Legends. She'd been told that she couldn't use her powers around people without something to conceal her identity. She wasn't sure what that meant, since she was Rosie and Rosie had powers, and there wasn't much of a reason to hide it, but she listened to those words anyway. Her feet connected with the ground again and she continued to walk. She walked with the crowds of people, being drowned in the stream of movement and noise. She wasn't a hero. She could barely walk herself somewhere, and she couldn't even save herself from the masses of people that threatened to drown her in their world. Rosie's thin hands came up to rub together nervously, trying to find something she could hold onto to keep her grounded. It wasn't easy, everything felt like liquid- dripping out of her hands before she could grip it and find some safety. Finally, Rosie collapsed. She ground her back teeth together and sat down on the sidewalk, much to the dismay of the passers-by. They didn't do anything to help her, though, they just continued on, parting around her as she buried her face in her hands and cried.Lost. Lost. Lost.533 words for IvanBEATNIK BOY ! @ caution & atf

Enemy of mine, I'm just a Stranger in a Strange LandRunning out of time...We Better Go...Go...Go!'Ah, now this was much better. New York City in the daylight hours, fully clothed and completely aware of yourself.' Was the oh so pleased thought running through Ivan's head as he walked down the heavily trafficked streets of New York City. His previous night had been a not so wonderful arrival, but then again whenever he traveled that far in time he often found that there was a lot of time-lag to deal with, which was jet-lag's abusive drunken uncle from hell. On top of that he had been immediately spotted in and taken by another super, which wouldn't have been so bad had be not been completely naked and unaware of what was fully going on around him. That who situation had just be awkward to him to say the least, and not something he wanted to deal with again any time soon. Right now Ivan had to focus on figuring out exactly what was going on in this time. Sure he had picked the date and time to arrive, but studying what happened in the past was never a perfect way to know everything that was going on, especially when not all dates and events happened as they were recorded. On top of that there were often the thousands of tiny things that lead up to major events that were more often than not completely left out of recorded history. And to Ivan those minor events were easier to deal with and much more important. 'Right. You need to get yourself a newspaper, then work on getting forms of identification...' He reminded himself. How troublesome it was to travel through time when all you could bring was the skin on your back. But Ivan wasn't always completely unprepared. After a bit of practice through other trips to the past, Ivan had made sure to set away money and other things for himself for future trips to the past...the only trouble was that he needed to have identification to gain access to said things...Not the easiest thing to obtain for someone who technically wasn't supposed to exist yet in this time.Ivan would have continued to mull over his thoughts, but soon two things grabbed his attention. The fact that he heard someone crying, and the fact that he had nearly fallen over said person, who was sitting on the sidewalk in the midst of people walking hurriedly to their destinations. This was a pitiful sight, made all the worse by the fact that no one else seemed to even care that this girl was having a breakdown in the middle of the sidewalk. But Ivan wasn't the type of person who could just bypass this. Sure if he had hated the girl for some reason or another he would have just walked by, or momentarily stopped to rub some mean words in. But this young woman had wronged him in no way. And for a moment all he could think of was his sister. He hated the sound of women crying, especially when it wasn't the fake cry of someone desiring attention."Come on little dove, let's get you out of the way so you aren't trampled..." Ivan spoke gently, his soft spot coming out for the world to see. So he now had a minor setback, good thing he didn't absolutely need to deal with things at this very second...He just hoped that the young woman didn't freak out from his attempt to help her as he reached out to help her to her feet. It was so lonely to die in a sea of people. Rosie decided if she were to die, she hoped it would not be in a sea of people. She huddled deep below the surface, scared to fly away, scared to move. She only wanted to be back home, safe in her hammock and wrapped up in blankets. She wanted her own cocoon to turn her self into a butterfly so she would be able to fly again. She felt like a caterpillar to trying to chase a bird away, only to be pecked to death. But a merman arrived in the sea of people to save her. She had been crying and crying, and then he was there, whispering to her, telling her that it would be alright. This was not the place she would die. She would not drown.Rosie lifted her head to look at the merman. He was beautiful. With high cheekbones and a sturdy jaw line. He had dark hair, and a beautiful nose. "I didn't know that you really existed," Rosie said, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. Why did this merman come to save her? was she really that lost? She bit her lip worriedly. She stood up, the dress brushing at her knees as she did so. He helped her up, and she was grateful. She wasn't sure what to do then, so she smiled brightly and wrapped her arms around his waist."Thank you for saving me. I thought I was going to die. I couldn't float and I was sure I was going to drown there." she held him tighter, though she didn't know why she felt so comfortable with him. Usually with new people she was shy and recluse, but this man was her savior. He played hero well, and she had been a perfect damsel in distress. But the word float had fumbled from her slippery lips, making her worried. She had been told not to talk about her powers or her abilities to normal people. But this person wasn't normal- she could tell by looking at him. He was special, she just couldn't figure out how he was special right then. She could barely figure out why he stopped to save her, as so many people would walk by, so perhaps that's what made him special. Maybe he was just nice. No, he wasn't nice. Nice was a word that could be used as a visage, and he wasn't trying to hide anything."You're a good person." She concluded aloud. "Nice is different than good, you know. You're a good person." Rosie smiled again at him, letting him go suddenly and put her arms behind her back. She was always doing foolish things. How could she hug a good stranger? He was nice enough to help her and she would go hurting his feelings or invading his personal space. she was always in the way. Always a burden. Always confused. Always lost. No, she shouldn't think like that. She was trying to get better. She was getting better. She just needed to focus really hard to keep her brain from flying away again.some words for IvanBEATNIK BOY ! @ caution & atf

Enemy of mine, I'm just a Stranger in a Strange LandRunning out of time...We Better Go...Go...Go!She didn't know that he'd really existed? Well that had been the first time someone had ever said something like that to him. Scratch that, there had been one time or another where someone had met a future version of himself and Ivan had no idea of who this person was. But, they didn't exactly say the had no idea he really existed. Ivan wondered briefly if this young woman had met his future self, a question he'd save for later if the answer didn't make itself apparent before then. "I am very real." Ivan smiled gently, unsure as to why he felt the need to confirm it, but reassuring her could only be good thing, right? She still looked a good deal upset, and Ivan began to wonder if she was lost. Was she alone? Obviously no one else currently around here was claiming her...This just wouldn't do at all. But she was standing up! This was the important thing! She was accepting his help and not wallowing in self pity! And...she was hugging him! Well this he did not mind at all, even if he had never met her before. It was actually quite endearing, and Ivan's smile grew just a bit more, his thoughts now turning towards wandering just how old this young woman was. "You're very welcome." Ivan nodded to her. "Couldn't leave you to die, could we?" She was certainly an odd one, he inwardly concluded, at least when it came to the way that she spoke. Perhaps she was the over dramatic type, but her words were painting a very colorful picture as she rambled on. Poetic even, Ivan would call them. Lightly, as not to make her feel trapped, he hugged her back. It would have been rude not to, right? But the embrace didn't last too much longer, as the young woman seemed to have gotten a hold on herself and moved away, slipping from his loose hug. The strangeness of her words didn't stop there, though, and Ivan found himself grinning at the unexpected words that came from her. She was odd, but he liked this kind of odd. She didn't seem crazy like the homeless men that talked to themselves, rather she just seemed different. "Ehehe. I'm glad you think so, it means a lot coming from such a sweet person." Ivan said earnestly, even after laughing slightly at first. "Did you get lost?" He couldn't help but ask her finally, the question buzzing too loudly in his mind for him to ignore it any longer. "We should probably start heading there before we're both trampled by the crowd..." Ivan commented, noticing the not so happy looks from people due to the fact that they still stood on the sidewalk, blocking the straight path of some people. "I'm Ivan, by the way." He smiled at her. "And it's a pleasure to meet you..." He hadn't exactly gotten her name yet, had he? Well now was a better time than any, wasn't it? "To leave me to die? You wouldn't, not you. Not when you're real." Rosie murmured back softly, saying the words like a chant. She had read stories about great beings like him coming to the rescue. Coming to save the day and the girl who''d fallen into peril, and there he was. As though her coming to this land of lights and sounds had made written her into a tale of life and love and made her one of those lucky girls. Lucky, she was the luckiest girl alive, even if some things were not just right."Let's go. Let's hide away from the monsters and find a new path. The stars will lead us, but I'm scared they're too shy to be here now. I got lost without the stars. I was looking for the place where flowers are. But I got lost, and that's how I got here." She shuddered, looking down at her hands. She was always such a bother. But this man was not treating her as such, he smiled at her and said things in a lovely voice. Told her it would be alright. She'd never known a person to treat her so well. She'd always been a problem. Something was wrong with her brain, see. Rosie was sick, but in a way that couldn't be fixed with warm blankets and some chicken-noodle soup. The man told her his name. Ivan. Ivan was a nice name, a little harsh-sounding for a man as nice as he, but she didn't dwell to long on it. Ivan was his name, so she would call him that. She'd be aloud to call him that, because that's how he introduced himself. She'd better let him know she had a name, too. That she wasn't a mindless girl walking around without a name."Rosie. I'm named Rosie." She made a mask with her hands, putting it over her eyes, "I'm also Charm, but that's a secret." She put her hands down, and put a finger to her lips. She shouldn't have told him that. Now he knew her secret. It was too late, her secret was gone, like a piece of litter in the wind. She realized it too late. "Don't tell anyone, though. Please don't. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't be her, too." What would the angels say if they found out? Would they make her go away? Would she be kicked from the Tower that they resided in? She didn't know. She never knew.a few words for IvanBEATNIK BOY ! @ caution & atf

Enemy of mine, I'm just a Stranger in a Strange LandRunning out of time...We Better Go...Go...Go!Scratch that. Ivan loved the way her speech pattern flowed. He had never heard anyone speak quiet like her, even in the very odd future which he came from. She was utterly unique in looks and speech and still all Ivan could do was grin down at her to keep from saying "Aww" every time she spoke. What she said was genuine to him. There were no moments of her pausing to think of what she said, oh no, in fact as far as Ivan could tell she spoke her thoughts the moment they came to her. It was a wonder to him that no agent of some sort had snatched the small girl up to help write fantastical tales. But then again Ivan was probably getting ahead of himself, wasn't he? Her adorable words were getting to him, and he really needed to pay attention to what she was saying so he could help her, didn't he.Ivan would have smiled all the more at her flow of words coming from her, if it weren't for the tone of her voice and the expression on her face. She was truly unsettled by this situation wasn't she? Lightly Ivan placed his hand on her shoulder and gave her a small but reassuring smile. "It's alright little dove. We may not have the stars, but we'll find your way." He explained, hoping to calm her nerves. But honestly Ivan had no idea what she meant by a place with flowers. Did she mean a flower shop? Or maybe some sort of special garden? There was also the possibility that she could have meant the park. Hmm. "Are there a lot of flowers where we're going?" He asked her, tilting his head slightly. "Are they inside a shop or outside?" It was better to have some sort of information to go off of. And he prayed that she wasn't looking for a flower shop, there were hundreds of those in NYC, and he wasn't exactly familiar with their locations."Rosie? I have a little sister who goes by Rosie," Ivan's face erupted with a large smile before he could even hope to stop himself, "It's a very lovely name." And while his sister's name was not exactly Rosie, she did go by it as one of her nicknames. Already the small blond girl was endearing herself even more to him, giving Ivan all the more intense desire to get her to where she wanted to be. He had all the time in the world right? Or rather he could effectively make all the time in the world for himself by going back in it. But this wasn't the only name that little Rosie had given him. Oh no. And it would seem that she'd given away far more than she meant by her actions. she made a mask with her hands, and then put a finger to her lips. She was Charm, and this didn't take much deciphering by Ivan to help him understand just what she meant. She was a super...or a girl with the largest imagination he had ever met. With Rosie he wasn't so sure. It could have been either really. But she seemed so worried once again, quickly asking him not to tell. "Your secret is safe with me, I promise." He nodded to her. "I have another name too..." Ivan found himself in a position he didn't often put himself, but what would the harm be of him telling her what he called himself? It wasn't as if she would know who he was...he hadn't told anyone from this time. "It's Aeon." He grinned to her. "Now little dove let's see if we can't find you some flowers." He'd called her that name a few times hadn't he? Hmm, perhaps it was simply going to be his pet name for her...even if he never saw her again. Motioning for her to come along, Ivan began to lead her towards Central Park. At the very least he knew where that was, and perhaps while they were walking she would find where she wanted to go, if the park wasn't where she intended to be. How hard would it be to find flowers? Wouldn't they smell nice? Wouldn't their colors be known all over the world? Wouldn't anyone in this world of concrete and metal know what a flower looked like. Flowers were beautiful and graceful, long and short, delicate and sturdy. They could be easily destroyed, yet their ghost remained always. Rosie knew all these beautiful things about flowers, but she could not find them herself. She was useless.Rosie followed next to the man named Ivan. She bit her lip while she thought about flowers. She loved flowers, not as much as she loved the stars, but she hadn't seen the stars in a while now, so she had to make them for herself in her room, on the ceiling. She made them with flicks of her wrists, and it really looked like the nighttime sky, but it wasn't, and that was the difference. It could be just as pretty, just as bright, just as lovely, but it would never really be the sky.How was she supposed to know her way in times like these? With no stars but the ones on her walls and ceiling, how was a girl fond of the heavenly bodies to find her way? How could she measure how far she had gone if not for the skies? It was as if a rainstorm was perpetually covering up the stars, but it ever rained and went away. It just floated in space, covering the beautiful skies. She wasn't sure if she liked that."The flowers are outside," she nodded, "Yes. They are on a big rug of grass," she stretched her arms out, "-and there are trees and castles and ponds and weddings. It's always pretty. Always. Like a dream." She gave a few notes of humming as he continued talking, And then her eyes widened, "Maybe your sister is me! Maybe we're the same!" She got in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. "Does your sister have hair like this?" She got a fistful of hair in her hand, and pushed it forward for Ivan to look at. "Does she have eyes like mine?" Rosie let her hair fall from her hand, pulling at her eyelids so he could see her eyeball. "Because if she does, she may be me! Maybe we can meet! I've never met myself before, have you? I bet it would be wonderful to meet myself." She gave a little sigh, smiling to herself, and she wrapped her arms around Ivan again. He was a nice person. A nice person that was smarter than she was. He knew how to keep himself from being too crazy. She didn't know how to do that. She was often lost and confused, but he was nice enough to keep her from drowning in the sea of people, and he promised to keep her secret. Her secret that she didn't know what to do with hardly ever."Aeon? Is Aeon like Charm?" She nodded, tapping her chin, "I bet he is. A knight ready to fight for the goodness of the good. I try to do that. I'm not very good. I can do this, though!" She turned her head to look at him, and crossed her eyes. After a moment she broke her silly face and laughed. "I'm good at that. What can you do?"a few words for IvanBEATNIK BOY ! @ caution & atf

Enemy of mine, I'm just a Stranger in a Strange LandRunning out of time...We Better Go...Go...Go!Her description of the flowers and the area they inhabited painted a wonderfully colorful image in Ivan's mind. He could see clearly what kind of flowery garden she was looking to find. The only thing was he wasn't so sure that there was a place in New York City that was quite as she described. The closest thing he could really think of was The New York Botanical Garden, which might had been a possibility of where she was trying to go, but first he was going to lead her to Central Park to make sure that this wasn't where she wanted to be. Her colorful speech could have just been forming something much more wonderful in his mind of what she wanted. Either way, whether she wanted Central Park or the Botanical Garden Ivan was perfectly fine with taking her to both if need be. She was hitting him in a soft spot without even realizing it, and Ivan wasn't going to fight the urge to help her. But what he hadn't expected from her was her reaction to his words. 'Maybe your sister is me! Maybe we're the same!' His lips grew into a small smile as he came to a stop when Rosie moved into his path, pointing out things and wondering if she could be like his sister. In truth there were barely any physical similarities between Rosie and Ivan's sister Roza, but that didn't stop the fondness Ivan felt growing for Rosie. "My sister Roza has dark hair like mine, but her eyes aren't pale like ours. No, there she takes after our father." He then smiled thinking about Roza, she was a beautiful super, and a highly intelligent one as well. "And her skin sparkles brightly all of the time." He spoke gently, hoping his words wouldn't upset her as he told her about his sister, letting her know in a way that she wasn't his sister. Ivan was more than happy to return her hug, not even hesitating this time to show her affection. "I have met myself before." Ivan nodded in admission as he looked down to her. "It's very..." He laughed slightly and smiled "Odd to say the least." And truth be told Ivan worried every single time he had seen his future self. It always made him wonder if he'd done something wrong and his future self had come back to warn him or stop himself from doing it. Time traveling could get rather crazy at times, but he wouldn't trade his ability for any other."Yes, Aeon is like Charm." He nodded and ran a hand through his hair. He put himself in no danger telling her this and he knew it, and perhaps that was why he was all the more comfortable with being around her even though he had only known her for a few minutes. She was seemingly no threat to him, and in fact he felt more of a desire to help her than anything else as it was clear she needed it. "Aeon is not the knight that most would like him to be, but he does try to do as much good as he can. And I'm sure Charm will bring much goodness to the world." Ivan couldn't help but inwardly laugh at himself for picking up on the way she spoke and referring to himself in third person. He hadn't meant to, the sentence just flowed out in that way."Oh you are good at that!" Ivan chuckled along with her at the silly face she had made. If they kept this up Ivan was hopeful that by the time they reached the park she'll have forgotten all of her negative feelings of being upset earlier. "I can't do something like that...but I can do this." Ivan said, turning his head to face her before he waved his right hand up and down in front of his face, changing his eye colors each time his hand passed over them. It was a simple enough trick for him and he grinned at her, hoping she'd enjoy his little display. TaggedRosie!Outfit*CLICK*Words686Notes

"Oh, she has dark hair. I have light hair." Rosie shrugged, smiling, "I guess not! That's okay, though. We could still be sisters. We are sisters, you know. You don't know, though. Not many people do. Not many people understand that we're all the same. That we're all the same, and if only we realized that, well, who knows what would happen?" She tossed her hands up, then let them fall back to her sides."Her skin sparkles? She must be magic! I'm magic, too. It's a hard gift to have." She put her fingers to her lips, drumming them against the pink flesh. "She must be beautiful. With skin that sparkled all the time. She must be beautiful like a star. I know stars to be beautiful. I love the stars."Rosie's eyes got wide. How she would like to meet herself. She figured if she met herself, that would mean the starting of something truly magnificent. By herself she was very plain, but if she met herself, she would be forced into a world where the shambles of human kind would have to be saved by someone that had two of them. That meant that this man was very important. He was here for something that would change everything. And he had chosen to take time to help her. Did that mean she was really important, too?She melted back into step with him, smiling to herself, for the first time lost in words that came to her throat to be spoken. She chewed at her lips, trying to decide what to say to this very important man, but she couldn't figure it out. He was suddenly so crucial to everything that Rosie could understand. Why had he chosen to help her? Was she special? The girl twisted a piece of hair around her finger, her eyes still very wide as she thought to herself. She had to be careful around him, very careful. She had to protect him. She wasn't good at using her powers as weapons, but that didn't matter. She knew that she had to do something to help him now."Charm and me will help you be the knight!" She finally concluded, putting her hands on her hips proudly. "We have some gifts! We can help in any way we can!" She grinned, but then her smile faded. She only had a home at the Legend's Headquarters. And that was a temporary one. She couldn't help him from there. She sighed, looking back at him. He was being so nice to her. She was used to people treating her badly because of her mind, because there was something not quite right inside of it. He was nice to lead her back to the flowers, so she could be happy and not in the way.She would find a way."You're important." She said carefully. "You're important because you've met yourself. I know it when people are important." She pointed to her head, "I may be a little broken up here, but I'm not a dummy."bleh words for IvanBEATNIK BOY ! @ caution & atf

Enemy of mine, I'm just a Stranger in a Strange LandRunning out of time...We Better Go...Go...Go!"Yes, I think she would like to be your sister too." Ivan smiled to to the young blond woman. Rosie had lost Ivan in her little blurb about what he did know or didn't know. He couldn't help but continue to smile at her though, because whatever she was speaking about she had surely meant, and maybe if she had been just a little clearer with the way she spoke he would have understood. But, Ivan wouldn't have asked her or wanted her to change the way she communicated ever. She was unique, and this quality of hers was something that one could not simply find anywhere else. There were hundreds and thousands of other supers, but there was only one little Rosie. And while she might not have been all there, she was still worth his time and attention. "She is very beautiful, supers and humans alike tend to vie for her attention." Ivan nodded. There might have been hang ups about supers in the future, much like there was a large divide between supers and non-supers now, but his sister's looks were still for the most part universally accepted as beautiful. His father had done much fighting for that kind of acceptance, for not only his family but for all supers in the future. And Ivan would make sure that things remained right in this time to make sure that the future was secured. Ivan couldn't help but wonder what Rosie's future self would be like. He would have remembered meeting someone like her in the future, and he refused to think that anything bad could possibly happen to her during the span between now and him growing up in the future. When he returned to his own time he would definitely have to find her. He would even bring his own sister to finally meet Rosie. She must have been a delightful woman in the future. Kindness was a major thing in Ivan's book, and Rosie seemed to have no lack of it. Simply yet another trait that endeared the young super to him, and He smiled all the more at her words. "I am eternally grateful for your's and Charm's help." Although Ivan prayed that any type of help from her that he might need would not involve fighting support. Involving her in any form of that would not sit right with him. But these times were violent ones, or at least they would become violent ones. Hmm, he would have to keep an eye out for Rosie. "And I will do my best to make sure you and Charm remain safe." And he meant it. "No not a dummy, you're special. A very special person Rosie." Ivan quickly replied to her words, meaning every bit of what he said. Odds were Rosie was likely treated as mentally incapable of things; and while Ivan could tell that she wasn't quite right, but from the way she spoke he knew she was capable of understanding things just as well as he was. She...just saw the world differently than most. But in his eyes that was no reason to treat her poorly or as a burden. "And I would like it very much if you would be my friend." He smiled to her. "Now little dove, were these the flowers you were looking for?" Ivan asked curiously as they finally reached Central Park. Even if this wasn't where she wanted to be, Ivan would have no trouble helping her get to somewhere else. He still had all the time in the world, didn't he. "I wish I had a sister. Not one that was only partly my sister, but one that lived with me. I have no one." She stopped, biting at the pink flesh inside her mouth. "No, that's not true. It isn't at all. I just never got a sister when I needed one. I was always alone. Alone and-" She cut off, blurred images of fists hitting her and pushing at her and tearing her hair out. Things she never wanted to remember. Things that once made her feel like that thirteen years was enough, that it was too late to live. It was only when she recited poetry to the stars that she felt like the belonged. She wondered if they missed her. She didn't miss them. She even wondered if they noticed, or among all the screaming and crying and hitting they noticed one day that she was gone. She had jumped the walls and ran, ran all the way to New York, but where had she come from? She wasn't even sure about that anymore. All she knew was that she was free. Free from the ties that had bonded her. No more despair. No more pain. Just wandering blind. No thinking about what she had left undone. And more, what she had left behind. Her mind came back to Ivan, the important man she liked. He spoke to her as if she were really special. Not as if she were stupid. She liked him the more she talked with him. He made her feel like she was normal, and that was really something, for her. No one ever tried to talk to her like she was someone that had thoughts and feelings, only as if she were stupid and unstable. She knew that only part of this was true, and she realized that she was sometimes a nuisance. But she understood the birds and the stars better than anyone. She was magic. She was blessed with things that a lot of people didn't even know existed."I'm not gonna save you from anything, but I'm gonna help. You don't look like the kind of merman who needs a lifeboat anyway. Lifeboats save you, you know, but they never take you anywhere. They just float and never go anywhere." Rosie reached up her arms, following her hands with her eyes, looking upwards to the sun. "And you've got places you need to be, I know." She looked over to him, smiling. "I know people look at me and see someone stupid, but I'm not. I know things they don't know, and see things they never get to see. I feel bad for them."Rosie looked out, seeing the flowers, and she ran into the grass, falling and rolling in it, letting the thin green blades embrace her body as she rolled into them. They were soft and cool, not at all like the sun's rays that day. It was gentle and wonderful, the way a mother's arms should feel; a touch that Rosie never got to know. The way the grass smelled, even in a city like New York was refreshing. A few bird flitted down to where she rolled, chirping out some greetings for her. She smiled at them, and nodded in response, and motioned for Ivan to join her with sitting in the grass."Yes! These are the flowers. Aren't they lovely? Come, sit! I'll introduce you to the birds." She laughed, lying back down in the grass, letting her limbs fall against the ground.489 words for IvanBEATNIK BOY ! @ caution & atf
