Faline wasn’t someone who enjoyed pulling off big crimes by herself. There was always going to be too much risk going into it. First, something could go wrong or not according to plan. That always happened, even if she was doing something in a bigger group. When something went wrong then she was gambling with her safety and that was something she did not like to do. Pulling off crimes like this also could draw a lot of attention to her. With her brother, Deuce, having been captured by the government the last thing she wanted was to draw a lot of attention to her. She liked to do jobs that were small, but the payoff was big enough. Yet, despite how much she hated doing jobs like this she was breaking into the museum to steal a valuable piece of jewelry. She had gone of the mission hundreds of times and knew the museum like the back of her hand. Even though the job was a bit more high stakes than she liked, she felt like she was prepared enough. Plus the payoff was going to much more than she had ever made before. Money was always something she could use more of. Her and her brother’s apartment was falling apart and her small bartending job didn’t give her enough money to fix what she wanted.

Getting into the museum was much easier than Faline had expected it to be. She figured if anything was going to go wrong it was going to be that moment. The backdoor was made out of metal, easy for a girl who could control earth and metals. She pealed the door back like it was nothing, then made sure to put it back into place in case anyone walked by. She took down the security system with a device given to her by someone in the Syndicates. Once she knew the security was offline, it was a simple trip to find the security officer and knock him out. She knew she was in the clear now. The necklace she was after was being held in a small glass box. A small glass box that had a door. This was all starting to get a bit too easy. After opening the door she held the necklace only for a brief moment before putting it into a small bag. Faline couldn’t help but look around the large empty room, it couldn’t be
this easy. There had to be some sort of curveball.
