Well there was a discussion in the chat about the issue that I think needs to be brought here in the forums.

I and others share the feeling that our guilds leadership is not active enough in the game at the moment, in fact I don't recall ever seeing some of the officers in the game and I play every evening and weekend.

As such there are not enough guild events happening, even the old event announcement in guild MOTD is more than a week old.

I just want to know if it will change anytime soon.

Also one of the reason I left the guild. GL our there.

For Flashpoints and Lockouts I'd like to help with this if our High Lords are too busy studying the ways of the Dark side or whatever they are doing.

Yeah, I am very sorry about this. I received some rough news IRL about my old man and haven't really had the drive to log in. The time I've managed to muster for the game has been spent to coordinate a cross-guild event on the Community Boards, but talks are slow and will not yield much fruit for a little while longer. =/

I had hoped the other officers would have more time now that the holiday seasons are over, but I guess not. Some of them are running a guild in WoW as well, and I guess that took priority for them... I will have to look amongst our new members for people willing to step up instead, and I have a couple in mind.

For the record though, the RP base we established was intended to generate more spontaneous RP, and make members less dependent on hosted events. Use this if you want to get something going; because the point of RP is kind of that each individual player should have their own story to tell. Not saying that to justify the lack of officer activity, but it is a simple reality that this oftentimes creates the most entertaining and interesting scenes. Aside from the main plot, which IS in the makings still (I have mapped up a PVP event which I think you guys will really enjoy), we can do little more than give you a setting to work with for yourself.

As for the Guild MOTD, I specifically logged in last week to delete that. If it has reappeared then that is because of some bug in the system. I will check it out though.

Elkarien, no hard feelings, hope you find a guild that fits you a little better.

And lastly, I will try to bounce back and steer things back on track. Want to thank Jimi for shouldering so much of the work load, because everyone wants different things, and wants me to develop different aspects of the guild. It adds up, and becomes a lot for one person to handle. As I said though, will look to "activate" some of our members to delegate some of the work.

I have been on for about 3 hours a night at least most nights, but there are only a handful of guildies on for the most part in that part of the day/night. I have done a few introductions, and ran a couple flashpoints... I've also done a few events with Mecrosa our ally guild.

Lately though I've had a death in the family, as well as an increased work load that has limited my game time. That and every damn Tuesday the server is offline all night long for me... and that is my most active gaming day. >_>

I am working on a few things though, and I will make them a priority to get them out there as soon as possible.

Sorry to hear about yours IRL situations, I feel for you.
As for me personaly, we have had some nice casual RP with guildmates, but the thing that troubled me was just lack of information, MOTD was kind of discouragin as it started getting over week old. I was nearly starting to think Sid was dead.

Now that we all know what is what and what is coming up, I think we are patient enought to wait.

Despite being a level 39 (just no good! LOL), I'm on most nights, so if you need co-op for a flashpoint or heroic call me.

I am a bog standard soldier, so will do as I'm told.



As for Sid being dead... he's Swedish, which is very similar.

Just a thought. Would it not be possible to create a new chat channel devoted to RP?

That way we have the Guild channel for general chat, asking for assistance etc. The the RP channel so that we could RP where ever we are in the galaxy.

Call it the special ops Holochannel or something...

Just a thought.

Damn Rahvin, we never get to catch a break it seems Glad you've been able to contribute as much as you have, and I know it's hard enough as it is with living in the US and us doing events mostly based on European times.

And Kash, I suppose I could redirect the Officer Chat for that purpose. Problem is that you can't turn it off then, so if people are RP'ing over it then it goes out to all of the guild regardless of whether they are busy with Flashpoints, PVP, or what have you. It might be better to form a group and use party chat, but either way works. We could give access to the officer chat for a trial period and see what the response is.

I will have to apologize as well, I have been absent for a very long time now and I will try to log in and help out when I get the time. I have some very serious problems at the moment and if I don't fix it I might find myself penniless and without an apartment soon.
I'll try and get back in the game when i can and shoulder some of the work load.

Unless BW have changed things anyone can create a new global chat channel and apparently even password it so that no one else can access it. The only thing I wasn't able to discover is if the channel closes after the person who created it logs out.

So for example someone just needs to type /cjoin operations and it will create a global channel. Anyone else who types the same will join the channel.

Will have to do some more research/testing to see if it does indeed close once the creator logs out.

We usually use the "say" channel for RP, that way only people in the vicinity can read what we are saying, keeps it a bit realistic too.

I realize that, but that also means if you want to RP you HAVE to stop what you are doing and travel half way across the galaxy to do so. Also it means that anyone can 'hear' it.

But with the RP specific channel you can RP within the guild without outsiders knowing the story. Call it a Holo-conference if you will, but it would allow people to RP while still doing whatever they are doing.

For example back when MxO was still around we HAD to use the guild channel, but it allowed for some pretty intense RP. We could do missions but still RP and it also enabled those who enjoy writing RP stories to write stories based on what was RPed. In addition it allowed the really heavy RPers to RP in both area and with other members of the guild at the same time. Manys the time I spent Rping in guild chat, area chat and holding a non RP conversation in whisper.

There is not much point in standing in a cantena engaging in social chat when your character is a pretty unsociable s.o.b. Kash is more likely to punch you in the face or shoot you in the arse if you try to be sociable. In a canteena he will stand with his back against a wall with his hands resting on his pistols so he can see everything because he trusts very few people.

Kash: I see. Was unaware of the specifics for creating chat channels. I know you can do something like that in WoW, but didn't think it had been implemented in this game yet. In that case it is definitely a nice touch,and something we should implement in our Guild Lore.

My two attempts at creating my own channel ended in failure, possibly due to a bug that may have been fixed since then.

So far I have used the Officer Chat to yell at Kyrenic about his lack of online time... and to threaten to personally flay him alive if he doesn't get off Skyrim and log in.

it's pretty simple, you r-click the chat tab and creat custom channel.

It seems to work now, in the early days of the game some people couldn't join the channel.

well i can't speak for many others, but my rl friend groupe has had a custom channel since day 1 of early access

On another note, RL issues have been mostly resolved for now. I am currently downloading the recent patches to get back in the game. Took longer than expected but... am back.

Pops will go under the knife next month, but until then I will try to be on a couple of hours a day at least.

As you all may have noticed I haven't been in game for about a week or two, case is RL has thrown a nice surprise on me.
About 3 weeks ago I was told by management that a few people (me included) were about to be relocated to one of the other offices of the company due to the fact we got promoted.

All good and well they have a few office buildings close to or in Amsterdam(city I live in) so nothing special I thought. Well most of us did get relocated to offices in or around Amsterdam, except for me and one other person we both got relocated to the same office on the freaking otherside of the country.

Now i could have protested gone to the union but the things they offered me if I agreed were too great to say no to specially in these times of crisis.

So for the last 2 weeks I have been looking for a new place to live in(found one), filling in loads of paperwork, showing the guy who will be taking on my old tasks and duties the ropes, finishing my to do list at work, getting to know my new co-workers, redecorating my new place, trying to set a date to move all my stuff from my old house in Amsterdam to my new house.
So basically I have been running around like a headless chicken with severe sleep deprevation for days on end.

With a bit of luck all will be set and done in about a fortnight (2 weeks)
and then I will finally have time to play the game again.
