SUN CHOI
APPEARANCE: With her round face framed by pale green, hissing reptiles (
hair reference), Sun doesn't get many looks because of her beauty. If you were to look past the snakes, you'd see chubby cheeks, slim brown eyes, and plump lips that, when parted, reveal small fangs. Her skin is entirely covered in small scales, tinting her slightly green. While being far from fat, Sun isn't exactly model skinny. She prefers to think of herself as “hug-able” rather than “chubby”. Despite not having much in the height department (standing at a mere 5'3”), Sun can be rather intimidating when she wants to be, due mostly to her halo of cold blooded friends. In an attempt to draw attention away from said hair, the gorgon girl sports mostly funky dresses and bold skirts paired with the strangest leggings she can find. As she never matches, her style can only be described as eclectic.

HISTORY: Sun was raised in a small town on the very edge of North Korea by her mother. In the tight knit community, the gorgon girl never felt all that different. She felt welcome and loved. As the town began to grow, and more new people came to live there, they questioned why there was a woman and child with snakes seemingly growing from their heads. They were scared, and convinced the original members of the town that the two gorgons were dangerous and should be killed, despite having never given anyone reason to believe such a thing.
A few nights later, Sun awoke to heat and smoke that filled her lungs and left her gasping for air. Screaming for her mother, she struggled out of the burning house. As she lay panting on the ground beside her home, the gorgon girl began to cry. She heard voices calling to each other not far away, pointing out her limp form, and heavy footsteps came trampling in her direction. Heaving her sore body to it's feet, Sun dashed away, heading deep into the forest.
Weeks after the death of her mother, Sun smuggled herself out of the country, intent on reaching Icarus Institute. Her mother had spoken highly of it, and the young gorgon figured it was the best place she could go at this point.
PERSONALITY: Sun is, true to her namesake, sunny. Generally bright and cheerful, Sun delights in fashion, and will go out of her way to help someone who she deems as dowdy. The gorgon has always had an eye for the stylish, despite her own strange dress. Sun's shyness changes to counter the type of person she is with. If the person is quiet, she will be loud and forward. If the person is broody, she will be painfully bright. If the person is eccentric, she will close up slightly, though is never too reserved.
POWERS/ABILITIES: It is said that her race can turn people to stone if she were to look at someone, but hard as she try, no look Sun has ever given has killed. However, a friend once told her they felt noticeably cold from one of her glares. The gorgon's snakes, though they can bite, have never done so, although they do make quite a racket at times.
