ended april 25th. Saturday is by far the most busy day at the banks of the City of London. All those people running the rat race from nine to five take a moment or two on that one coveted day of freedom at the end of each week to deposit their checks, exchange their currency, beg for loans, and generally perform all of the financial tasks that have been put off for as long as possible. Given Seth Lockwood's prominence within the Chevalier hierarchy, it's no surprise that his banks see the most traffic in the city. SUBPLOT #1, "HELD HOSTAGE" THE SETTING: "Harrods is an upmarket department store located in Brompton Road in Brompton, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London. It is visited by thousands of people every day, and is one of the largest stores in the UK and offers a wide range of products and services, for all social classes and individual tastes and preference. You happen to be visiting the store on this day, whether you're running an errand, stocking up on groceries, shopping for clothes, meeting up with a friend, or simply hanging out. All in all, the day has been perfectly normal and average so far. Then, suddenly, you hear a voice over the intercom. It tells everyone to keep calm and kindly move towards the nearest exit as the store will be closed off, though the voice offers no reason as to why. A minute or two passes, and you suddenly hear three shots being fired, followed by high-pitched screams. The fire-alarms go off, and the other customers start to panic and rush for the exit. Unfortunately, only a few lucky people make it out before the doors are locked and barred. You're shut in, with no knowledge of what is happening other than the fact that somebody carrying a firearm is in the store. You see groups of people seeking refuge in the nearby stores. With no other alternative, you decide to follow their example and lay low, hoping the situation will resolve itself quickly, and hopefully before the rampant, gun-slinging madman finds your hidey-hole . . ."
