As assigned by the Ministry of Magic, the Punishment Act of 1622, is a set of laws laid down for this school (Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry). As said by the Ministry, by the following offenses, the mentioned punishment shall be given.
I Amendment - Created Sept. 1623
All professors of the school of Hogwarts are not permitted to physically harm a student in any way. They are not permitted to use vulgar language towards a student. They are not permitted to expel Hogwarts students.
II Amendment - Created Sept. 1623
Professors are given the right to dock points from a Hogwarts student. They are given the right to give detentions for whatever means they see fit. They are given the right to give punishments for severe actions committed by a student.
The Punishment Act laws are as follows:
I
For all first time offenses, points will be docked from the student's house. The points taken can be as severe as the staff member sees fit.
II
For all second time offenses, points will be docked from the student's house, as many as the staff member sees fit, and an owl will be sent to the student's parent or guardian. They may be subject to detention.
III
For all third time offenses, points will be docked from the student's house, as many as the staff member sees fit, an owl will be sent to the student's parent or guardian and a detention of 4-7 days must be served. The precise number will be judged by the student's head of house.
IV
For all fourth time offenses, points will be docked from the studnet's house, as many as the staff member sees fit, an owl will be sent to the student's parent or guardian and a detention of 7-10 days must be served. The precise number will be judged by the student's head of house.
V
For all fifth time offenses, a meeting with the headmaster or headmistress is in order. The offender may be subject to expulsion.
VI
For all sixth time offenses, the offender will be expelled, whether temporary or permanently is judged by the headmaster or headmistress.
(OCC - When given a detention, you may be temporarily banned from the board. Upon your return, you will be subject to volunteer service for the school. All offenses will be marked on your record.)
