Dako.

Klodin just asked for MFKS2 info. As far as I know the only really new hero in MFKS2 is the Cleric.

Well, he just replaces the Hero, right?

I mean, if we were to follow Maj2's heros, we'd have a bunch of "baseline" heros (like Warriors) who get to upgrade into their specialized parts, like Paladin, Blademaster, etc., right?

Not necessarily, since you can also just immediately train them instead of upgrading them (then they will be lvl 1 and cost (more?) $, but at least you need no fighter yet). I wonder if that could be exploited (hire fighter for less $, and upgrade it immediately).

No, I thought these were hero options for a player, not additional followers...

Klodin asked about new heros, not really clarifying what he meant; whether we would put the new Maj2 heroes in the game or just asking for info on them (which you seemed to think he was saying). I took it as the former and was saying that the hero structure is different than MKFS. You countered with something about training and upgrading them, leading me to believe you think they ought to be put in as followers, not proper heros.

I was asking about separate HoA game based on Maj2.

Right now, there are no plans to make a separate HoA game based on Maj2.

I was just talking about how those "baseline" heroes would work in the game MFKS2, not HoA or anything.

Yeah, but then I don't get your comment about training or hiring them. If players chose a baseline Warrior to play, he has to level up like any other hero before choosing to specialize into a Paladin or Blademaster at whatever level requirement is in Maj2; he can't pay to train him up levels before specializing immediately...

You can't? Well, that answers my question then...

I got the impression you would turn lvl X warrior into lvl X Paladin...

Well, I figured it would be like Gnome to Gnome Champion today - your Warrior gains levels until x level, upon which you choose to become a Paladin or Blademaster or whatever.

Well, according to what was told to us by the Paradox Q&A guy over at their forums, that's NOT the way it goes.

You can upgrade a Warrior to Paladin right away, and after a ceremony it becomes that class.

Which; as I mentioned before, makes me wonder if you can exploit it by hiring a cheaper warrior and instantly turn it to Paladin to fill the 4 slots if you wanted lvl 1 Paladins anyway...

Huh, I missed that then. I thought it worked like the Gnomes.

I wouldn't even include that as an option for followers, just keep the basic Warriors. I mean, they can't hire Paladins now as followers....
