Thank you, Oni. Now, who wants to resume Flame Wars?

The Rules:
Rule 1:
This is a comedy set in the computer-game environment of Majesty. That means gold pops over people's heads, Reward Flags float around and the Sovereign Jay is the computer player who's play-testing the game for Cyberlore. He does not have a character in the game - although the heroes can hear his voice cursing from above.

Rule 2: No super-heroes, please. Don't super-power your hero - this is to keep a good balance in the story.

Rule 3: Anyone can post - the best way to play this is to pick a hero that best suits you and name it after your forum name.

Rule 4: No Blowing Up Of Everything Please Unless You First Asked and Received Approval To Do So. Yes, This Means You Cooker/Merlin the Black/RingWraith or whatever you call yourself now.

Rule 5: No back-biting, please. This is a fun story board, so don't take out your grievences against another person in it. Do that some place else. I know that this is a fine line to walk for some of you, but the general idea is to keep things light, okay?

I have added the Official Rules of ToF to my first post. Some of them may seem a little obscure, but law codes often do.

QUOTE
A cat is placed in a sealed box. Attached to the box is an apparatus containing a radioactive nucleus and a canister of poison gas. The experiment is set up so that there is a 50% chance of the nucleus decaying in one hour. If the nucleus decays, it will emit a particle that triggers the apparatus, which opens the canister and kills the cat. According to quantum mechanics, the unobserved nucleus is described as a superposition (mixture) of "decayed nucleus" and "undecayed nucleus". However, when the box is opened the experimenter sees only a "decayed nucleus/dead cat" or an "undecayed nucleus/living cat."

Basically, it’s a cat that is both alive and dead. It’s a joke on sister Mew.

No, I'm not officially returning to this board. Except for one thing: the possibility of reviving ToF. Cooker and I were discussing it, and we thought it might be possible. So ...

Is anyone interested?

A personal request, try to retrieve more of the older ToF's. I would love to participate, however, I only got up to the beggining of Darkness Falls (and everything before it except for the freestyle quests) before I lost interest (My interests work in cycles, I'll be obsessed with one thing for a while, then lose interest, and then later on regain interest, so on and so forth). From reading 7 ToF's I noticed that a lot of things happen that carry over, so it would be nice if myself and others could know exactly did what happen before any new participation. I realize the difficulties with something like that, so if that can't be done, then if previous events that are cited could be explained in a little detail would also be really helpfull.

Most, if not all, previous ToF's can be found in the Valmorgan Library in-game.

I started to put them here myself, but RL caught up with me before I got far.

Ah! I'm glad to see some signs of interest! ToF has got to be one of the oldest traditions in the Majesty fanbase, and I'm sworn to seeing it revived.

*ahem*

And I have to agree with Maverick, that the full corpus of the ToF series needs to be uploaded and easily accessible. I remember enough of the jokes and continuity to carry on, but it would be nice to have the older ones for reference (never mind entertainment). And I must respectfully disagree with Will. Unless there's been a monstrous amount of work been done in the past three or four days, then less than half of the ToFs are available in the Library. I know; I was rereading them, and was bitterly disappointed at not finding the more recent stories (especially The Seige, as it leads directly into Flame Wars).

Hey there are more then half! There are 10 done and 5 missing. I'll start working on the Siege since there is interest and in the mean time if anyone is looking for a ToF that is not in the library I can email it to you. Just pm me or leave a message here.

Anyway Im glad that ToF is being started up again!
